A new model analysis of the third harmonic voltage in inductive measurement for critical current density of superconducting films＊

The critical current density Jc is one of the most important parameters of high temperature superconducting films in superconducting applications, such as superconducting filter and superconducting Josephson devices. This paper presents a new model to describe inhomogeneous current distribution throughout the thickness of superconducting films applying magnetic field by solving the differential equation derived from Maxwell equation and the second London equation. Using this model, it accurately calculates the inductive third-harmonic voltage when the film applying magnetic field with the inductive measurement for Jc. The theoretic curve is consistent with the experimental results about measuring superconducting film, especially when the third-harmonic voltage just exceeds zero. The Jc value of superconducting films determined by the inductive method is also compared with results raeasured by four-probe transport method. The agreements between inductive method and transport method are very good.

The objective of this paper is to demonstrate necessity to inform relevant parties about engineering-geological conditions for various practical purposes, especially including appropriate land-use planning. However, the relationship between relevant geological information and the geological environment is vital for foundation engineering purposes, especially where demanding structures are involved. This information is most conveniently structured when accumulated information concerning engineering-geological zones is utilized. This necessarily includes knowledge of rock workability and also of the pre-Quaternary bedrock, and these characteristics were then related to the current built-up area and future development according to the land-use plans in a case study are from the Petrvald Region （Czech Republic）. The geological environment of area has been severely influenced by anthropogenic effects of deep black coal mining. Results of this research showed that future development should be founded on spoil banks, dumps, and settling basins. According to the land-use plan, this zone occupies 44.9% of the area of interest, and its materials predominantly emanate from mining in the Ostrava-Karvina Coal District. For future foundation structures planned there, it is imperative to consult detailed engineering-geological study. However, attention to and reliance on this necessity is not reflected in the existing land-use plan.

One of the hot issues to realize the multi-planning system integration is to explore the inter-planning coordination mechanism breaking current technical and system restrictions. The essence of planning disintegration is the disconnection of their objective system, indicator system, and spatial coordinate system. Few studies have been conducted on this issue. This paper analyzes the manifestations and causes of the "three-system dissociation," and proposes to establish a new objective system. In addition, it proposes to strengthen the connection design, aiming to explore effective ways to realize inter-planning connection and coordination.

The present research aimed to identify critical factors that affect speeding *** that purpose,high-resolution smartphone data collected from a naturalistic driving experiment of 88 drivers were utilized,augmented with data from self-reported *** risk exposure and driving behavior indicators calculated from smartphone sensor data,as well as demographic characteristics and self-reported driving performance,statistical analysis was carried out for modelling the percentage of driving time over the speed limit,namely by means of generalized linear mixed-effects *** precisely,an overall model was developed for all road environments,and additional separate models were developed for driving on urban and rural *** results from the interpretation of the estimated parameters of the models can be summarized as follows:the parameters of trip distance and mobile phone use while driving have been determined as statistically significant and positively correlated with the percentage of speeding time during a driver's *** the same context,male drivers and drivers in the age group of18-34 also increase the percentages of speeding instances while *** driving behavior as stated on the questionnaire,it seems that low frequencies of self-declared speeding(never or rarely)are statistically significant and negatively correlated with the percentage of speeding *** is expected that this research can provide considerable gains to society,since the stakeholders including policy makers and industry could rely on the results and recommendations regarding risk factors that appear to be critical for safe driving.

Nowadays,there is a significant need for maintenance free modern Internet of things(IoT)devices which can monitor an *** devices such as these are mobile embedded devices which provide data to the internet via Low Power Wide Area Network(LPWAN).LPWAN is a promising communications technology which allows machine to machine(M2M)communication and is suitable for smallmobile embedded *** paper presents a novel data-driven self-learning(DDSL)controller algorithm which is dedicated to controlling small mobile maintenance-free embedded IoT *** DDSL algorithm is based on a modified Q-learning algorithm which allows energy efficient data-driven behavior of mobile embedded IoT *** aim of the DDSL algorithm is to dynamically set operation duty cycles according to the estimation of future collected data values,leading to effective operation of power-aware *** presented novel solution was tested on a historical data set and compared with a fixed duty cycle reference *** root mean square error(RMSE)and measurements parameters considered for the DDSL algorithm were compared to a reference algorithm and two independent criteria(the performance score parameter and normalized geometric distance)were used for overall evaluation and *** experiments showed that the novel DDSL method reaches significantly lowerRMSE while the number of transmitted data count is less than or equal to the fixed duty cycle *** overall criteria performance score is 40%higher than the reference algorithm base on static confirmation settings.

The prediction of structural performance plays a significant role in damage assessment of glass fiber reinforcement polymer(GFRP)elastic gridshell *** learning(ML)approaches are implemented in this study,to predict maximum stress and displacement of GFRP elastic gridshell *** ML algorithms,including linear regression(LR),ridge regression(RR),support vector regression(SVR),K-nearest neighbors(KNN),decision tree(DT),random forest(RF),adaptive boosting(AdaBoost),extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost),category boosting(CatBoost),and light gradient boosting machine(LightGBM),are implemented in this *** features of structural performance considered in this study are the maximum stress as f1(x)and the maximum displacement to self-weight ratio as f2(x).A comparative study is conducted and the Catboost model presents the highest prediction ***,interpretable ML approaches,including shapely additive explanations(SHAP),partial dependence plot(PDP),and accumulated local effects(ALE),are applied to explain the *** is employed to describe the importance of each variable to structural performance both locally and *** results of sensitivity analysis(SA),feature importance of the CatBoost model and SHAP approach indicate the same parameters as the most significant variables for f1(x)and f2(x).

Background:Established treatments for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) are few, thus it is imperative to develop novel dietary strategies that can prevent NASH. A fermented mixed tea (FMT) made with Camellia japonica (Japanese camellia) and third- crop green tea leaves by tea-rolling processing was reported to reduce body weight and adipose tissue weight in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Because visceral fat is one of the most important factors for the development of hepatic steatosis, this FMT supplementation can be a candidate dietary strategy for the prevention of NASH. Methods:Nine-week-old male SD rats were fed a high-fat and high-cholesterol (HFC) diets with or without FMT (camellia and third-crop green tea leaves at ratios of 1:5, 1:2 and 1:1) for 9 weeks (n=6–7/group). Histopathology, serology and expressions of ifbrogenetic, proinlfammatory, oxidative stress and lipid metabolism-related genes in the liver were evaluated. Results:Histologically, HFC diet with FMT at a ratio of 1:5 dramatically reduced NASH progression (14%) compared to the HFC diet without FMT (100%). FMT at a ratio of 1:5 reduced hepatic steatosis due to the activation of microsomal triglyceride transfer protein, and FMT at a ratio of 1:2 reduced mRNA levels of some proinlfammatory, lipid metabolism-related, ifbrogenic and oxidative stress marker genes. Conclusions:Our data suggest that FMT at a ratio of 1:5 or 1:2 likely possesses a preventive effect on NASH progression.
