High-energy-density lithium manganese iron phosphate for lithium-ion batteries: Progresses, challenges, and prospects

The soaring demand for smart portable electronics and electric vehicles is propelling the advancements in high-energy–density lithium-ion *** manganese iron phosphate (LiMnxFe1-xPO4) has garnered significant attention as a promising positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its advantages of low cost,high safety,long cycle life,high voltage,good high-temperature performance,and high energy *** LiMnxFe1-xPO4has made significant breakthroughs in the past few decades,there are still facing great challenges in poor electronic conductivity and Li-ion diffusion,manganese dissolution affecting battery cycling performance,as well as low tap *** review systematically summarizes the reaction mechanisms,various synthesis methods,and electrochemical properties of LiMnxFe1-xPO4to analyze reaction processes accurately and guide material ***,the main challenges currently faced are concluded,and the corresponding various modification strategies are discussed to enhance the reaction kinetics and electrochemical performance of LiMnxFe1-xPO4,including multi-scale particle regulation,heteroatom doping,surface coating,as well as microscopic morphology ***,in view of the current research challenges faced by intrinsic reaction processes,kinetics,and energy storage applications,the promising research directions are *** importantly,it is expected to provide key insights into the development of high-performance and stable LiMnxFe1-xPO4materials,to achieve practical energy storage requirements.

With the visual illusion of the mirror,Mirror Therapy,models the primary somatosensory cortex,cortical and muscular excitability,stimulating cortical reorganization and sensorimotor *** have shown to be effective in improving motor function in short and medium term,in activities of daily living,in visuospatial neglect and in reducing pain,especially in patients with complex regional pain ***:To report the perception of Occupational Therapists regarding the application of Mirror Therapy in professional ***,what factors lead to its application,what are the effects and benefits of the technique,what are its advantages and ***:In the perception of Occupational Therapists,the Mirror Therapy technique has the following benefits:significant decrease in pain,improved sensitivity and functionality of the upper limb,unblocking movements in the affected limb,decreased phantom pain;as negative aspects:difficulties in spatial/environmental control,patient's perceptual/cognitive skills,high level of concentration/attention,absence of scientific evidence in neurological ***:For the interviewed Occupational Therapists,the Mirror Therapy is a safe and useful technique to be applied in your professional practice that has been showing positive results in the functional recovery of patients,however,it lacks studies that identify the appropriate time to start its application and the explanation of an intervention protocol.

The effects of low-volume combined training on health-related physical fitness outcomes in active young adults: A controlled clinical trial

The effects of combined training(CT)on improving general health are well known,however,few studies have investigated the effects of low-volume ***,the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of 6 weeks of lowvolume CT on body composition,handgrip strength(HGS),cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF)and affective response(AR)to *** healthy,active young adult man(meanSD,[20.061.66]years;[22.232.76]kg/m2)performed either a low-volume CT(EG,n?9),or maintained a normal life(CG,n?9).The CT was composed of three resistance exercises followed by a high intensity-interval training(HIIT)on cycle ergometer performed twice a *** measures of the body composition,HGS,maximal oxygen consumption(V_O2max)and AR to exercise were taken at baseline and after training for ***,an ANOVA test of repeated measures and t-test paired samples were used with a p*** results showed that EG improved HGS(pre:[45.6711.84]kg ***:[52.4411.90]kg,p0.05),nevertheless the feeling scale was positive in all weeks and without significant differences between them(p>0.05).Lastly,for active young adults,the low-volume CT improved HGS,CRF and had a positive outcome in AR,with less volume and time spent than traditional exercise recommendations.

Traditionally,hyaluronic acid has been widely used for drug delivery,but the current application bottleneck is that hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic and electronegative,which makes it difficult to carry hydrophobic drugs and small interfering RNA(siRNA)with the same *** on previous studies,we designed and synthesized hyaluronic acid nanocarriers HA-spermine/N,N,N-trimethylcystamine/DOX-TPP(HSTD)for loading siRNA to overcome the problem of siRNA release caused by strong electrostatic ***,N,N,Ntrimethylcystamine in the carrier can be degraded by intracellular glutathione to completely and rapidly release siRNA,thus promoting ***,when codelivered with the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin(DOX),this novel nanocarrier showed promising synergy in inhibiting tumor growth.

Geometries, Electronic Structures, and Electron Detachment Energies of Small Boron Sulfide Anions: A Density Functional Theory Investigation

A density functional theory investigation on the geometries, electronic structures, and electron detachment energies of BS, BS2, B（BS）2 and B（BS）3 has been performed in this work. The linear ground-state structures of BS （C∞v, ^1∑^＋） and BS2^- （O∞h, ^1∑g^＋） prove to be similar to the previously reported BO and BO2 with systematically lower electron detachment energies. Small boron sulfide clusters are found to favor the formation of -B=S groups which function basically as a-radicals and dominate the ground-state structures of the systems. The perfect linear B（BS）2^-（D∞h, ^3∑g） and beautiful equilateral triangle B（BS）3^- （D3h,^2A1”） turn out to be analogous to the well-known C2v BH2 and O3h BH3, respectively. The electron affinities of BS, BS2, B（BS）2 and B（BS）3 are predicted to be 2.3, 3.69, 3.00 and 3.45 eV, respectively. The electron detachment energies calculated for BS^-, BS2^-, B（BS）2^-, and B（BS）3^- may facilitate future photoelectron spectroscopy measurements to characterize the geometrical and electronic structures of these anions.

Catalyst–support interaction plays a crucial role in improving the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Here we modulate the catalyst–support interaction in polyaniline-supported Ni_(3)Fe oxide(Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI)with a robust hetero-interface,which significantly improves oxygen evolution activities with an overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and specific activity of 2.08 mA cm_(ECSA)^(-2)at overpotential of 300 mV,3.84-fold that of Ni_(3)Fe *** is revealed that the catalyst–support interaction between Ni_(3)Fe oxide and PANI support enhances the Ni–O covalency via the interfacial Ni–N bond,thus promoting the charge and mass transfer on Ni_(3)Fe *** the excellent activity and stability,rechargeable Zn-air batteries with optimum Ni_(3)Fe oxide/PANI are assembled,delivering a low charge voltage of 1.95 V to cycle for 400 h at 10 mA cm^(-2).The regulation of the effect of catalyst–support interaction on catalytic activity provides new possibilities for the future design of highly efficient OER catalysts.

MULTISCALE ISSUES IN DNS OF MULTIPHASE FLOWS

Direct numerical simulations （DNS） have now become a well established tool to examine complex multiphase flows. Such flows typically exhibit a large range of scales and it is generally necessary to use different descriptions of the flow depending on the scale that we are examining. Here we discuss multiphase flows from a multiscale perspective. Those include both how DNS are providing insight and understanding for modeling of scales much larger than the ＂dominant scale＂（defined where surface tension, viscous forces or inertia are important）, as well as how DNS are often limited by the need to resolve processes taking place on much smaller scales. Both problems can be cast into a language introduced for general classes of multiscale problems and reveal that while the classification may be new, the issues are not.

PARALLEL ADAPTIVE SIMULATION OF A PLUNGING LIQUID JET

This paper is concerned with three-dimensional numerical simulation of a plunging liquid jet. The transient processes of forming an air cavity around the jet, capturing an initially large air bubble, and the break-up of this large toroidal-shaped bubble into smaller bubbles were analyzed. A stabilized finite element method （FEM） was employed under parallel numerical simulations based on adaptive, unstructured grid and coupled with a level-set method to track the interface between air and liquid. These simulations show that the inertia of the liquid jet initially depresses the pool＇s surface, forming an annular air cavity which surrounds the liquid jet. A toroidal liquid eddy which is subse- quently formed in the liquid pool results in air cavity collapse, and in turn entrains air into the liquid pool from the unstable annular air gap region around the liquid jet.

An ultrasound method of sterilizing aspergillus flavus and fusarium is proposed and *** dependence of sterilizing effect on ultrasonic intensity,frequency,and treatment time is experimentally *** density of surviving spores decreases first with increasing ultrasonic frequency and then increases with the further increase of the frequency,that is to say,there exists the optimum frequency 26 kHz at which the killing rate is near 100%.The killing rate seems proportional to the intensity and the time.

The kinesin-like proteins, KAC1/2, regulate actin dynamics underlying chloroplast light-avoidance in Physcomitrella patens

In plants, light determines chloroplast position; these organelles show avoidance and accumulation re- sponses in high and low fluence-rate light, respectively. Chloroplast motility in response to light is driven by cytoskeletal elements. The actin cytoskeleton mediates chloroplast photorelocation responses in Arabidopsis thali- ana. In contrast, in the moss Physcomitrella patens, both, actin filaments and microtubules can transport chloroplasts. Because of the surprising evidence that two kinesin-like proteins （called KACs） are important for actin-dependent chloroplast photorelocation in vascular plants, we wanted to determine the cytoskeletal system responsible for the function of these proteins in moss. We performed gene- specific silencing using RNA interference in P. patens. We confirmed existing reports using gene knockouts, that PpKAC1 and PpKAC2 are required for chloroplast dispersion under uniform white light conditions, and that the two proteins are functionally equivalent. To address the specificcytoskeletal elements responsible for motility, this loss-of- function approach was combined with cytoskeleton-targeted drug studies. We found that, in P. patens, these KACs mediate the chloroplast light-avoidance response in an actin filament- dependent, rather than a microtubule-dependent manner. Using correlation-decay analysis of cytoskeletal dynamics, we found that PpKAC stabilizes cortical actin filaments, but has no effect on microtubule dynamics.
