Sentence,Phrase,and Triple Annotations to Build a Knowledge Graph of Natural Language Processing Contributions—A Trial Dataset

Purpose:This work aims to normalize the NLPCONTRIBUTIONS scheme(henceforward,NLPCONTRIBUTIONGRAPH)to structure,directly from article sentences,the contributions information in Natural Language Processing(NLP)scholarly articles via a two-stage annotation methodology:1)pilot stage-to define the scheme(described in prior work);and 2)adjudication stage-to normalize the graphing model(the focus of this paper).Design/methodology/approach:We re-annotate,a second time,the contributions-pertinent information across 50 prior-annotated NLP scholarly articles in terms of a data pipeline comprising:contribution-centered sentences,phrases,and triple *** this end,specifically,care was taken in the adjudication annotation stage to reduce annotation noise while formulating the guidelines for our proposed novel NLP contributions structuring and graphing ***:The application of NLPCONTRIBUTIONGRAPH on the 50 articles resulted finally in a dataset of 900 contribution-focused sentences,4,702 contribution-information-centered phrases,and 2,980 surface-structured *** intra-annotation agreement between the first and second stages,in terms of F1-score,was 67.92%for sentences,41.82%for phrases,and 22.31%for triple statements indicating that with increased granularity of the information,the annotation decision variance is *** limitations:NLPCONTRIBUTIONGRAPH has limited scope for structuring scholarly contributions compared with STEM(science,technology,Engineering,and Medicine)scholarly knowledge at ***,the annotation scheme in this work is designed by only an intra-annotator consensus-a single annotator first annotated the data to propose the initial scheme,following which,the same annotator reannotated the data to normalize the annotations in an adjudication ***,the expected goal of this work is to achieve a standardized retrospective model of capturing NLP contributions from scholarly *** would entail a larger initiati

High-temperature dielectric and microwave absorption performances of tib2/Al2O3 ceramics prepared by spark plasma sintering

tib_(2)/Al2O3 ceramics reinforced with Mg O are prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS).The dielectric and microwave(MW)absorption properties are *** results indicate that both the commercial tib_(2)(C-tib_(2))content and preparing temperature play important roles in the dielectric ***,tib_(2)/Al2O3 composite shows the best MW absorption property when the C-tib_(2)content and preparing temperature are 9 wt%and 1400°*** further improve the MW absorption properties,the composite containing 9 wt%synthesized tib_(2)(S-tib_(2))has been sintered at 1400°*** high-temperature complex permittivity is greater than that of tib_(2)/Al2O3 composite with 9 wt%C-tib_(2)sintered at 1400°C and is directly proportional to the ***,tib_(2)/Al2O3 composite with 9 wt%S-tib_(2)possesses a better MW absorption at 25–500°C,its effective absorption bandwidth(RLtib_(2)/Al2O3 composite with 9 wt%C-tib_(2).Consequently,the satisfying absorbing layer(dtib_(2)/Al2O3 ceramics practical applications as high-temperature microwave absorption materials(MAMs).

Freestanding film formed with Sb-nanoplates embedded in flexible porous carbon nanofibers as a binder-free anode for high-performance wearable potassium-ion battery

Antimony-based materials are considered as promising anodes for potassium ion batteries due to their high theoretical capacity and low electrode potential. However, the aggregation and bulk expansion of Sb particles in cycling will cause capacity attenuation and poor rate performance. In this paper, Sb nanoplates were designed to be embedded in flexible porous N-dopped carbon nanofibers(Sb@PCNFs)by a simple electrospinning deposition(ESD) method. In this structural design, Sb nanoplates of high capacity were employed as active materials, N-dopped carbon nanofibers were used to improve conductivity and structural stability. The introduction of pore-forming agent enables the nanofibers to possess porous structure, thus buffering the huge volume change and promoting the transfer of electrolyte/*** importantly, the freestanding film can be directly used as a working electrode, reducing the redundancy in the battery and the cost. Benefitting from the favorable structure, the freestanding flexible Sb@PCNFs electrode shows excellent potassium storage performance with a capacity of 314 m Ah/g after 2000 cycles at 500 m A/g. This strategy of employing active material with high capacity in porous and conductive flexible nanofibers represents an effective method of achieving binder-free electrode with good electrochemical performance towards wearable energy storage devices.

Temperature-insensitive microwave absorption of tib2-Al_(2)O_(3)/MgAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics based on controllable electrical conductivity

The design of the high-temperature microwave absorbing materials (MAMs) with temperature-insensitive and considerable microwave absorption (MA) capacity is a tremendous *** B2-Al_(2)O_(3)/Mg Al_(2)O_(4) MAMs are prepared by the spark plasma sintering (SPS).Further,the influences of the Al_(2)O_(3) content on the flexural strength,thermal stability,high-temperature electrical conductivity,dielectric and MA properties are *** results show that the Al_(2)O_(3) content is associated with flexural strength,high-temperature thermal stability,electrical conductivity,dielectric and MA ***,the temperatureinsensitive and considerable MA properties with the minimum reflection loss (RLmin) ranging from -19.4 to -14.3 dB and the effective absorption bandwidth (EAB,RL<-5 dB) of 3.19–3.55 GHz are attained at 25°C–700°C in 8.2–12.4 GHz as the Al_(2)O_(3) content increases from 70.6 wt%to 80.6 wt%.This is ascribed to the compensating effect of the positive and negative temperature coefficient materials on the high-temperature electrical conductivity as well as the co-play of the dipolar and interfacial polarization at elevated ***,Ti B2-Al_(2)O_(3)/Mg Al_(2)O_(4) ceramics exhibit the ideal prospect as the high-temperature MAMs.

Projected drought conditions in Northwest China with CMIP6 models under combined SSPs and RCPs for 2015—2099

Northwest China is one of the most arid regions in the world and has experienced intriguing climate warming and ***,future climate conditions in Northwest China still remain *** this study,we applied an ensemble of the 12 latest model simulations of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)to assess future drought conditions until 2099 in Northwest China,as inferred from the Palmer Drought Severity Index(PDSI).Future drought conditions were projected under three climate change scenarios through the combination of shared socioeconomic pathways(SSPs)and representative concentration pathways(RCPs),namely,SSP126(SSP1+RCP2.6,a green development pathway),SSP245(SSP2+RCP4.5,an intermediate development pathway),and SSP585(SSP5+RCP8.5,a high development pathway).For 2015-2099,drought severity showed no trend under SSP126,in contrast,for the SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios,a rapid increase during 2015-2099 was observed,especially under *** also found that the drought frequency in Northwest China under SSP585 was generally lower than that under SSP126 and SSP245,although the drought duration under SSP585 tended to be *** findings suggest the green development pathway in drought mitigation and adaptation strategies in Northwest China,an arid and agricultural region along the Silk Road.

A complex {[Cu（tib）2（H2O）2]·（NO3）2}n（1） has been synthesized under N,N-dimethylacetamide（DMA） and water conditions. The structure of complex 1 was characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. It crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/n with a = 10.6273（7）, b = 11.4184（7）, c = 13.4215（8） A, β = 108.290（2）°, V = 1546.38（17）A3, Z = 2, F（000） = 798, Dc = 1.667 g/cm3 and m = 0.786 mm-1） Complex 1 exhibits a 3D network due to the existence of O–H…O interaction between coordinated water and nitrate anions. Furthermore, complex 1 has a good catalytic activity for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol in Na BH4 solution.

Cryo-EM combined with image deconvolution to determine ZIF-8 crystal structure

Metal–organic frameworks(MOFs) are crystalline porous materials with tunable properties, exhibiting great potential in gas adsorption, separation and catalysis.[1,2]It is challenging to visualize MOFs with transmission electron microscopy(TEM) due to their inherent instability under electron beam irradiation. Here, we employ cryo-electron microscopy(cryoEM) to capture images of MOF ZIF-8, revealing inverted-space structural information at a resolution of up to about 1.7A and enhancing its critical electron dose to around 20 e^(-)/A^(2). In addition, it is confirmed by electron-beam irradiation experiments that the high voltage could effectively mitigate the radiolysis, and the structure of ZIF-8 is more stable along the [100] direction under electron beam irradiation. Meanwhile, since the high-resolution electron microscope images are modulated by contrast transfer function(CTF) and it is difficult to determine the positions corresponding to the atomic columns directly from the images. We employ image deconvolution to eliminate the impact of CTF and obtain the structural images of ZIF-8. As a result, the heavy atom Zn and the organic imidazole ring within the organic framework can be distinguished from structural images.
