Synthesis and microwave absorption performance of heat-treated RF/SiO_(2)aerogels

The well-designed co.posite with satisfactory electromagnetic microwave absorption at high temperatures remains a serious challenge.Herein,we fabricated a resorcinol-formaldehyde/silica dioxide co.posite aerogel(RF/SiO_(2))with a three-dimensional network structure using sol-gel,atmospheric pressure drying technique as well as heat-treated processes to achieve enhanced microwave absorption capabilities in the low frequency range.The pristine RF/SiO_(2)aerogel presented a typical micropores structure with a surface area,porous volume,and density of 146.82 m^(2)/g,62.40%,and 0.28 cm^(3)/g,respectively.Remarkably,the RF/SiO_(2)aerogel showed an effective absorption bandwidth of 3.56 GHz and a minimum reflection loss value of-46.10 d B at 2.25 mm after being heat-treated at 1500°C,while the maximum effective absorption bandwidth was 3.60 GHz at 2.30 mm.The intricate three-dimensional networks possessed remarkable impedance matching,multiple attenuation mechanisms,interfacial polarization,and dielectric loss,which were attributed to the exceptional ability to absorb electromagnetic microwaves.It offered a fresh approach to creating adaptable and effective microwave absorption materials in military defense.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of stationary shoulder friction stir welding joint of 2A14-T62 aluminum alloy

2A14-T62 butt joint was successfully welded by stationary shoulder friction stir welding(SSFSW)method.The results showed that using a pin with small shoulder co.ld broaden the process window,and under a rotation speed of 2000 r/min and welding speed of 30 mm/min,joint with smooth surface,small reduction in thickness and little inner defects was obtained.The weld nugget zone was approx-imately circular,which was a unique morphology for SSFSW.The heat-affected zone(HAZ)and thermo-mechanically affected zone(TMAZ)were both quite narrow due to the lower heat input and slight mechanical action of the stationary shoulder.The fraction of high angle grain boundaries(HAGBs)exhibited a“W”shape along horizontal direction(from advancing side to retreating side),and the minim-um value located at HAZ.The average ultimate tensile strength and elongation of the joint were 325 MPa and 4.5%,respectively,with the joint efficiency of 68.3%.The joint was ductile fractured and the fracture surface co.tained two types of dimples morphology in different re-gions of the joint.Microhardness distribution in the joint exhibited a“W”shape,and the difference along the thickness direction was negli-gible.The joint had strong stress co.rosion cracking susceptibility,and the slow stain rate tensile strength was 139 MPa.Microcrack and Al2O3 particulates were observed at the fracture surface.

Throughout years,the two-step spin-co.ting process is the most co.mon method to prepare organic lead halide perovskite materials.However,the short reaction time of dropping the solution at the seco.d step means that PbI2 cannot be co.pletely transformed into perovskite phase.To solve this problem,we report the introduction of glycine hydrochloride(GlyHCl)into the seco.d step of the two-step spin-co.ting process to prepare a FA_(0.9)MA_(0.1)PbI_(3-x)%-GlyHCl perovskite material(namely FAMA-x%-GlyHCl,where FA=formamidinium,MA=methylammonium,and x%stands for the molar ratio of GlyHCl added in FA iodide/MA iodide(FAI/MAI)precursor solution).The Cl−ion in GlyHCl assists the formation ofα-phase perovskite,and the-co.−group co.rdinates with Pb2+cation in a bridging way,making up for the anion vacancy in perovskite lattice and resulting in high absorption intensity.The perovskite solar cells(PSCs)based on FAMA-9%-GlyHCl achieve a long carrier lifetime(527.0 ns),a photoelectric co.version efficiency(PCE)of 19.40%and good thermal stability,maintaining 85.8%of the initial PCE after being co.tinuously heated at 60℃for 500 h.This study helps to solve the problem of inco.plete reaction in the two-step spin-co.ting process and puts forward a new solution for preparing high co.erage perovskite films with large grain size.

Production logistics(PL)is co.sidered as a critical factor that affects the efficiency and co.t of production operations in discrete manufacturing systems.To effectively utilize manufacturing big data to improve PL efficiency and promote job shop floor eco.omic benefits,this study proposes a PL trajectory analysis and optimization decision making method driven by a manufacturing task data chain(MTDC).First,the manufacturing task chain(MTC)is defined to characterize the discrete production process of a product.To handle manufacturing big data,the MTC data paradigm is designed,and the MTDC is established.Then,the logistics trajectory model is presented,where the various types of logistics trajectories are extracted using the MTC as the search engine for the MTDC.Based on this,a logistics efficiency evaluation indicator system is proposed to support the optimization decision making for the PL.Finally,a case study is applied to verify the proposed method,and the method determines the PL optimization decisions for PL efficiency without changing the layout and workshop equipment,which can assist managers in implementing the optimization decisions.

In this work,boron(B)was used to promote Fe^(3+)/peracetic acid(Fe^(3+)/PAA)for the degradation of sulfamethazine(SMT).An SMT degradation efficiency of 9.1%was observed in the Fe^(3+)/PAA system over 60 min,which was significantly increased to 99.3%in the B/Fe^(3+)/PAA system over 10 min.The B/Fe^(3+)/PAA process also exhibited superior resistance to natural substances,excellent adaptability to different harmful substances,and good removal of antibiotics in natural fresh water samples.The mechanism of action of boron for Fe^(3+)reduction was determined using scanning electron microsco.y(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y(XPS),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectrosco.y,density functional theory(DFT)calculations,and electrochemical tests.The dominant role of^(·)OH was co.firmed using quenching experiments,electron spin resonance(EPR)spectrosco.y,and quantitative tests.Organic radicals(R-O^(·))and Fe(IV)also significantly co.tribute to the removal of SMT.DFT calculations on the reaction between Fe^(2+)and the PAA were co.ducted to further determine the co.tribution from ^(·)OH,R-O^(·),and Fe(IV)from the perspective of thermodynamics and the reaction pathways.Different boron dosages,Fe^(3+)dosages,and initial pH values were also investigated in the B/Fe^(3+)/PAA system to study their effect of SMT removal and the production of the reactive species.Fe(IV)production determined the k_(R-O·+Fe(IV))value suggesting that Fe(IV)may play a more important role than R-O^(·).A co.parison of the results with other processes has also proved that the procedure described in this study(B/Fe^(3+)/PAA)is an effective method for the degradation of antibiotics.

Trace Analysis of Anions in Perfluorodecalin by Green Liquid-Liquid Extraction co.bined with Ion Chromatography

Perfluoronaphthenes,with inert chemical and biological properties and ability to dissolve large amounts of oxygen,have received the most attention in medical applications.However,the excessive anion co.tained may cause some side effects.Herein,liquid-liquid extraction technique with shaking and ultrasonic extraction was used for the trace analysis of five anions(F^(-),Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-),PO_(4)^(3-),SO_(4)^(2-))in perfluorodecalin using water as green extractant.The optimum pretreatment technology and ion chromatography detection co.ditions were established.Good linearity was observed in each co.centration range,and the linear co.relation co.fficient(R^(2))was better than 0.997.The limits of detection(S/N=3)of five anions from perfluorodecalin were 3.2,5.5,14.2,23.2 and 29.5μg/L,respectively.The established method with high sensitivity and accuracy has been successfully appliedfor the determination of five anions in three perfluorodecalin products,which provides a basis for further development of green detection and quality standard formulation in perfluorodecalin and other fluorocarbon solvents.

Hearing loss has beco.e increasingly prevalent and causes co.siderable disability,thus gravely burdening the global eco.omy.Irreversible loss of hair cells is a main cause of sensorineural hearing loss,and currently,the only relatively effective clinical treatments are limited to digital hearing equipment like co.hlear implants and hearing aids,but these are of limited benefit in patients.It is therefore urgent to understand the mechanisms of damage repair in order to develop new neuroprotective strategies.At present,how to promote the regeneration of functional hair cells is a key scientific question in the field of hearing research.Multi-ple signaling pathways and transcriptional factors trigger the activation of hair cell progenitors and ensure the maturation of newborn hair cells,and in this article,we first review the principal mechanisms underlying hair cell reproduction.We then further discuss therapeutic strategies involving the co.regulation of multiple signaling pathways in order to induce effective functional hair cell regeneration after degeneration,and we summarize current achievements in hair cell regeneration.Lastly,we discuss potential future approaches,such as small molecule drugs and gene therapy,which might be applied for regenerating functional hair cells in the clinic.

Downy feather-like para-aramid fibers and nonwovens with enhanced absorbency,air filtration and thermal insulation performances

Fiber morphology with off-standing branches,as found in nature,e.g.,in goose downy feather,provides exquisite functions that can be barely achieved by man-made fiber systems.In this work,we develop a simple and scalable method for generating downy feather-like para-aramid fibers and assemblies.Through treating co.mercial para-aramid microfibers with mild alkaline solution(low co.centration of NaOH),a synergistic effect of chemical hydrolysis and physical shearing is successfully triggered to generate abundant nanofiber branches on the surface of para-aramid fibers.When co.pared with co.ventional monotonous structures,nonwovens co.posed of downy feather-like fibers exhibit a typical multiscale fiber morphology,larger specific surface area and smaller pore size,thus showing enhanced particles adsorption capacity(over twice of the pristine nonwoven),excellent oil absorption capacity(increased by~50%),improved air filtration performances(doubled the filtration efficiency)and effective thermal insulation(thermal co.ductivity=26.1 mW·m^(−1)·K^(−1)).More attractively,the intrinsic flame-retardant nature of para-aramid is well inherited by the downy feather-like fibers,and the fabrication process requires neither sophisticated equipment,nor tedious procedures,making us believe the strong co.petitiveness of these fibers and assemblies.

With the wide application of renewable energy power generation technology,the distribution network presents the characteristics of multi-source and co.plex structure.There are potential risks in the stability of power system,and the problem of power quality is beco.ing more and more serious.This paper studies and proposes a power optimization co.perative co.trol strategy for flexible fast interco.nection device with energy storage,which co.bines the flexible interco.nection technology with the energy storage device.The primary technology is to regulate the active and reactive power of the co.verter.By co.paring the actual power value of the co.verter with the reference value,the proportional integral(PI)co.troller is used for co.rection,and the current co.ponents of d and q axes are obtained and input to the co.verter as the reference value of the current inner loop.The co.trol strategy in this paper can realize power mutual aid between feeders,and at the same time,the energy storage device can provide or absorb a certain amount of power for feeders,so that the power grid can realize stable operation in a certain range.

The welding of aluminum(Al)and steel has attracted more and more interest due to the weight reduction trend in vehicle and aerospace manufacturing industries.5182-O/HC260YD+Z lap joint was produced by friction stir welding(FSW),and the microstructure and mechanical property of the joint were systemically characterized.The microstructure in horizontal direction of the Al and steel near interface was similar to their co.responding co.ventional friction stir welded joint.The joint was divided into stir zone of Al(ST-Al),stir zone of interface(ST-I),thermal-mechanically affected zone of steel(TMAZ-Fe)and base material of steel(BM-Fe)acco.ding to their distinct microstructure vertically.Three kinds of intermetallic co.pounds(IMCs)of FeAl_(3),FeAl and Fe_(3)Al were formed at the interface.The horizontal micro hardness distribution exhibited a hat shape and“M”shape in Al and steel,respectively.The hardest region of the joint was located at the ST-I,with a hardness of 175 HV−210 HV.The joint was fractured along the hook structure,with an average shear strength of 73.9 MPa.Fractural morphology of Al and steel indicted a cleavage fracture mode.
