Advanced glycation end-products(AGEs)are a group of heterogeneous compounds formed in heatprocessed foods and are proven to be detrimental to human ***,there is no comprehensive database for AGEs in foods that covers the entire range of food categories,which limits the accurate risk assessment of dietary AGEs in human *** this study,we first established an isotope dilution UHPLCQq Q-MS/MS-based method for simultaneous quantification of 10 major AGEs in *** contents of these AGEs were detected in 334 foods covering all main groups consumed in Western and Chinese populations.Nε-Carboxymethyllysine,methylglyoxal-derived hydroimidazolone isomers,and glyoxal-derived hydroimidazolone-1 are predominant AGEs found in most *** amounts of AGEs were high in processed nuts,bakery products,and certain types of cereals and meats(>150 mg/kg),while low in dairy products,vegetables,fruits,and beverages(<40 mg/kg).Assessment of estimated daily intake implied that the contribution of food groups to daily AGE intake varied a lot under different eating patterns,and selection of high-AGE foods leads to up to a 2.7-fold higher intake of AGEs through daily *** presented AGE database allows accurate assessment of dietary exposure to these glycotoxins to explore their physiological impacts on human health.

Green-blue spaces(GBS)are pivotal in mitigating thermal ***,their management lacks guidelines rooted in epidemiological evidence for specific planning and *** we show how various GBS types modify the link between non-optimal temperatures and cardiovascular mortality across different thermal *** merged fine-scale population density and GBS data to create novel GBS exposure index.A case time series approach was employed to analyse temperature-cardiovascular mortality association and the effect modifications of type-specific GBSs across 1085 subdistricts in south-eastern *** findings indicate that both green and blue spaces may significantly reduce high-temperature-related cardiovascular mortality risks(e.g.,for low(5%)***(95%)level of overall green spaces at 99th *** mortality temperature(MMT),Ratio of relative risk(RRR)=1.14(95%CI:1.07,1.21);for overall blue spaces,RRR=1.20(95%CI:1.12,1.29)),while specific blue space types offer protection against cold temperatures(e.g.,for the rivers at 1st vs MMT,RRR=1.17(95%CI:1.07,1.28)).Notably,forests,parks,nature reserves,street greenery,and lakes are linked with lower heat-related cardiovascular mortality,whereas rivers and coasts mitigate cold-related cardiovascular *** spaces provide greater benefits than green *** severity of temperature extremes further amplifies GBS's protective *** study enhances our understanding of how type-specific GBS influences health risks associated with non-optimal temperatures,offering valuable insights for integrating GBS into climate adaptation strategies for maximal health benefits.

As the development of city economy,Zhongdong River in hangzhou was seriously polluted,with the worst water *** order to obtain the effect of water diversion and distribution from Qiantang River on the water quality of Zhongdong River,7-year continuous monitoring was conducted,which was at the fixed stations before and after the water diversion and *** the water diversion project,the dissolved oxygen concentration of the river water was one to two times higher than before,and the ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus decreased by 60%and 65%,*** increased the amount of water diversion,the dissolved oxygen concentration of the river water elevated by 13%,and the ammonia nitrogen,total phosphorus and potassium permanganate index decreased by 8%,3%and 14%,*** reason for the river water pollution was contributed to the combined sewer system and riverway sludge,especially during the rainfall,the dissolved oxygen concentration of Zhongdong River sharply declined by 95%,while the ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus increased by 90%and 87%,*** research results could provide theoretic basis for sustainable improvement of Zhongdong River water quality and river management department making the related regulations and policies.

This study aims to reveal the occurrence and origin of typical groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations in the loess area of the Guanzhong Basin—a Neogene faulted *** findings are as follows:(1)Groundwater samples with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations collected from the loess area and the terraces of the Weihe River accounted for 26%and 30%,respectively,of the total samples,with primary hydrochemical type identified as HCO_(3)-*** karst and sand areas exhibit relatively high groundwater quality,serving as preferred sources for water *** is recommended that local governments fully harness groundwater in these areas;(2)groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations in the loess area and the alluvial plain of rivers in Dali County is primarily distributed within the Guanzhong Basin,which represents the drainage zone of groundwater;(3)arsenic and fluoride in groundwater originate principally from natural and anthropogenic sources;(4)the human health risk assessments reveal that long-term intake of groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations pose cancer or non-cancer risks,which are more serious to kids compared to *** study provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations in loess areas.

To screen rice germplasm with different genetic backgrounds for cadmium(Cd)accumulation in brown rice from common cultivated rice,we monitored grain Cd concentrations and characterized their patterns of 54 main varieties planted at two sites[Fuyang(FY)and Changshan(CS)in Zhejiang Province,China]with both low and high Cd-polluted *** found most varieties got higher Cd levels than 0.2 mg/kg in the Cd-polluted soil with the normal agronomic management,which suggested high risk of Cd exposure from the two *** Cd accumulation pattern was found in hybrid rice,but it differed between ***,varieties with the same female or male parent may have different Cd accumulation capacities,meaning that the environment factors should be considered to screen low-Cd-accumulation varieties.

Uncertainties existing in the process of dam deformation negatively influence deformation prediction. However, existing deformation pre- diction models seldom consider uncertainties. In this study, a cloud-Verhulst hybrid prediction model was established by combing a cloud model with the Verhulst model. The expectation, one of the cloud characteristic parameters, was obtained using the Verhulst model, and the other two cloud characteristic parameters, entropy and hyper-entropy, were calculated by introducing inertia weight. The hybrid prediction model was used to predict the dam deformation in a hydroelectric project. Comparison of the prediction results of the hybrid prediction model with those of a traditional statistical model and the monitoring values shows that the proposed model has higher prediction accuracy than the traditional sta- tistical model. It provides a new approach to predicting dam deformation under uncertain conditions.
