Earthquake relocation using a 3D velocity model and implications on seismogenic faults in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region

To enhance the understanding of the geometry and characteristics of seismogenic faults in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,we relocated 14805 out of 16063 earthquakes(113°E-120°E,36°N-43°N)that occurred between January 2008 and December 2020 using the double-difference tomography *** on the spatial variation in seismicity after relocation,the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region can be divided into three seismic zones:Xingtai-Wen'an,Zhangbei-Ninghexi,and Tangshan.(1)The Xingtai-Wen'an Seismic Zone has a northeastsouthwest *** depth profile of earthquakes perpendicular to the strike reveals three northeast-striking,southeast-dipping,high-angle deep faults(>10 km depth),including one below the shallow(<10 km depth)listric,northwest-dipping Xinghe fault in the Xingtai *** additional deep faults in the Wen'an region are suggested to be associated with the 2006 M 5.1 Wen'an Earthquake and the 1967 M 6.3 Dacheng earthquake;(2)The Zhangbei-Ninghexi Seismic Zone is oriented *** northeast-striking faults(10-20 km depth),inferred from the earthquake-intensive zones,exist beneath the shallow(<10 km depth)Xiandian Fault,Xiaotangshan Fault,Huailai-Zhuolu Basin North Fault,Yangyuan Basin Fault and Yanggao Basin North Fault;(3)In the Tangshan Seismic Zone,earthquakes are mainly concentrated near the northeast-striking Tangshan-Guye Fault,Lulong Fault,and northwest-striking Luanxian-Laoting *** inferred north-south-oriented blind fault is present to the north of the Tangshan-Guye *** 1976 M 7.8 Tangshan earthquake occurred at the junction of a shallow northwest-dipping fault and a deep southeast-dipping *** study emphasizes that earthquakes in the region are primarily associated with deep blind *** deep blind faults have different geometries compared to shallow faults,suggesting a complex fault system in the ***,this research provides valuable insights into the seismogenic faults in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei r

Function Combined Method for Design Innovation of Children's Bike

As children mature, bike products for children in the market develop at the same time, and the conditions are frequently updated. Certain problems occur when using a bike, such as cycle overlapping, repeating function, and short life cycle, which go against the principles of energy conservation and the environmental protection intensive design concept. In this paper, a rational multi-function method of design through functional superposition, transformation, and technical implementation is proposed. An organic combination of frog-style scooter and children’s tricycle is developed using the multi-function method. From the ergonomic perspective, the paper elaborates on the body size of children aged 5 to 12 and effectively extracts data for a multi-function children’s bike, which can be used for gliding and riding. By inverting the body, parts can be interchanged between the handles and the pedals of the bike. Finally, the paper provides a detailed analysis of the components and structural design, body material, and processing technology of the bike. The study of Industrial Product Innovation Design provides an effective design method to solve the bicycle problems, extends the function problems, improves the product market situation, and enhances the energy saving feature while implementing intensive product development effectively at the same time.

Cooperation and Contract Design in Project Management with Outsourcing

We study a project management problem where the prime contractor needs to outsource tasks to subcontractors with the required *** execution of the project requires proper coordination among the subcontractors,as well as contract design by the prime contractor to incentivize the *** modeling the subcontractors’coordination problem as a cooperative game,we develop a profit sharing scheme to facilitate the subcontractors’*** consider two contract designs for the prime contractor:a uniform contract across all subcontractors,and a nonuniform one that customizes incentives for each *** propose efficient algorithms to solve the implicit optimization problems for optimal contract *** experiments show that the pooling effect of subcontractors’cooperation mitigates the negative impact of poor estimates about the crashing cost and resource *** observe three unexpected results through the randomized computation experiments:(i)the subcontractors’profits may decrease if they provide false information;(ii)it is safer for the prime contractor to overestimate subcontractors’crashing costs than underestimate them;and(iii)uniform contracts deliver more project profit for the subcontractors in the coalitions.

This paper looks at the heavy-haul combined train composed of different types of locomotives and its distributed power control system with a combination of 800 MHz and TD-LTE wireless *** analyses some key characteristic parameters that affect the synchronism and communication of the differential wireless multi-traction synchronous control systems for heavy-haul combined *** the same time,in order to reduce the latency of instruction and information transfer between different types of locomotives,improve the time-limit certainty of wireless transmission and optimize the control quality of multi-traction control systems for heavy-haul combined trains,a synchronism optimization strategy based on the Markov decision process on the basis of Petri networkconstruction is *** experiments and tests are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the synchronism optimization of the control system,which provides a guarantee for improving the differential wireless multi-traction synchronous control system for combined trains and optimizing train control.
