Two Gram negative, non-spore-forming, oval to pear shaped motile strains, designated 25B14T and BH-BN04-4T, isolated from surface seawater from the Bering Sea and Chukchi Sea, respectively, were subjected to polyphasic taxonomic study. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16 S rR NA gene sequences demonstrated that strains 25B14T and BH-BN04-4T clustered together with Hyphomonasatlanticus22II1-22F38 T and Hyphomonas oceanitis DSM 5155 T, respectively, within genus Hyphomonas. based on whole genome sequence analysis, the calculated DDH and ANIm values between strain 25B14T and BH-BN04-4T are 18.8% and 83.19% respectively. The calculated DDH values of strain 25B14T and BH-BN04-4T with seven type strains ranged from 18.2% to 19.9% and from 18.4% to 40.4%, respectively. The ANIm values of strain 25B14T and BH-BN04-4T with seven type strains ranged from 83.00% to 84.67% and from 83.14% to 90.58%, respectively. Both isolates were found to contain Q-11 as the predominant respiratory quinone. The major fatty acids of strain 25B14T were identified as C16:0, C17:0, C18:1ω7c-methyl and Summed Feature 8(C18:1ω6c/ω7c as defined by MIDI), while in the case of strain BH-BN04-4T they were identified as C16:0, C18:1ω7c-methyl and Summed Feature 8(C18:1ω6c/ω7c). The G+C contents of 25B14T and BH-BN04-4Twere determined to be 58.4mol% and 61.0mol%, respectively. The combined phenotypic and genotypic data show that the two isolates each represent novel species of the genus Hyphomonas, for which the names Hyphomonas beringensis sp. nov. and Hyphomonas chukchiensis sp. nov. are proposed, with the type strain 25B14T(=MCCC 1A07321 T =LMG 27914T) and BH-BN04-4T(=MCCC 1A07481 T =LMG 27915T), respectively.

Thalassospira bacteria are widespread andhave been isolated from various marine environments. Less is known about their genetic diversity and biogeography, as well as their role in marine environments, many of them cannot be discriminated merely using the 16 S r RNA gene. To address these issues, in this report, the phylogenetic analysis of 58 strains from seawater and deep sea sediments were carried out using the multilocus sequence analysis(MLSA) based on acsA, aro E, gyrB, mut L, rpo D and trp B genes, and the DNA-DNA hybridization(DDH) and average nucleotide identity(ANI) based on genome sequences. The MLSA analysis demonstrated that the 58 strains were clearly separated into 15 lineages, corresponding to seven validly described species and eight potential novel species. The DDH and ANI values further confirmed the validity of the MLSA analysis and eight potential novel species. The MLSA interspecies gap of the genus Thalassospira was determined to be 96.16-97.12% on the basis of the combined analyses of the DDH and MLSA, while the ANI interspecies gap was 95.76-97.20% based on the DDH analysis. Meanwhile, phylogenetic analyses showed that the Thalassospira bacteria exhibited distribution pattern to a certain degree according to geographic regions. Moreover, they clustered together according to the habitats depth. For short, the phylogenetic analyses and biogeography of the Thalassospira bacteria were systematically investigated for the first time. These results will be helpful to explore further their ecological role and adaptive evolution in marine environments.

A taxonomic study was carried out on strain GCS-AE-31 T, which was isolated from a phenol-degrading consortium, enriched from coking wastewater activated sludge of Beijing Shougang Company Limited during the screening of phenol-degrading bacteria. Cells of strain GCS-AE-31 T were Gram-negative, short rods, gliding motile, oxidase-/catalase-positive. Growth was observed at salinities from 0 to 3 % and at temperatures from 10 to 37 °C. On the basis of 16 S rR NA gene sequence similarity, strain GCS-AE-31 T was most closely to Pedobacter saltans LMG 10337T(96.17 %), but it showed low similarity to all other species of genus Pedobacter(89.28-92.45 %). It also showed low 16 S rR NA similarity to all other species of the family Sphingobacteriaceae(87.25-92.45 %). The dominant fatty acids were iso-C15:0(34.5 %), Sum In Feature 3(C16:1ω7c/C16:1ω6c, 18.6 %), anteiso-C15:0(7.1 %) and iso-C17:0 3-OH(6.4 %). The menaquinones were MK-7(95.5 %) and MK-6(4.5 %). The polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, three aminolipids and three unknown phospholipids. Sphingolipid was present. The G+C content of the chromosomal DNA was 36.2 mol%. According to its phylogenetic position and phenotypic traits, the novel strain could not be assigned to the genus Pedobacter, it should be classified as a novel species of a new genus in the family Sphingobacteriaceae, for which the name Pseudopedobacter beijingensis gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed(type strain GCS-AE-31 T =MCCC 1A01299 T = CGMCC NO 1.12329 T = LMG 27180T). The misclassified species Pedobacter saltans is transferred to the new genus as Pseudopedobacter saltans com. nov.(type strain LMG 10337 T = MCCC 1A06472 T = DSM 12145 T = CCUG 39354 T = CIP 105500 T = JCM 21818 T = NBRC 100064T).

Hydrogen is an important energy source for deep-sea hydrothermal vent ***,little is known about microbes and their role involving in hydrogen turnover in the *** this study,the diversity and physiological characteristics of fermentative,hydrogen-producing microbes from deep-sea hydrothermal vent fields were described for the first *** enrichments were obtained from hydrothermal vent sulfides collected from the Southwest Indian Ocean,East Pacific and South Atlantic.16 S rRNA gene analysis revealed that members of the Caloranaerobacter genus were the dominant component in these ***,three thermophilic hydrogen producers,strains H363,H53214 and DY22619,were isolated and phylogenetically related to species of the genus *** Hyields of strains H363,H53214,DY22619 and MV107,which was the type species of genus Caloranaerobacter,were 0.11,1.21,3.13 and 2.85 mol H/mol glucose,*** of the main soluble metabolites revealed that strains H363,H53214 and MV107 performed heterolactic fermentations,while strain DY22619 was a butyric acid fermentation,indicating distinct fermentation patterns among members of the ***,a diversity of forms of[FeFe]-hydrogenase with different modular structures were revealed based on draft genomic data of *** highlights the complexity of hydrogen metabolism in Caloranaerobacter,reflecting adaptations to environmental conditions in hydrothermal vent ***,the results suggested that Caloranaerobacter species might be ubiquitous and play a role in biological hydrogen generation in deep-sea hydrothermal vent fields.

A taxonomic study was carried out on strain R12B,which was isolated from seawater of the Atlantic *** bacterium was Gram-negative,oxidase positive and catalase weakly positive,rod *** was observed at salinities of 0.5-15%and at temperatures of 4-45℃.The isolate was incapable of gelatine,Tween 80,aesculin hydrolysis or nitrate *** analysis based on 16 S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain R12B belonged to the genus Roseovarius,with highest sequence similarity to Roseovarius indicus B108(97.14%),followed by Roseovarius halotolerans HJ50(96.78%),other species of genus Roseovarius shared94.02-96.14%sequence *** DNA-DNA hybridization estimate values between strain R12B and Roseovarius indicus B108 was 23.2%.The ANI value between strain R12B and Roseovarius indicus B108 was 77.08%.The principal fatty acids were Sum In Feature 8(Cω7c/ω6c)(62.28%) and C(15.70%).The G+C content of the chromosomal DNA was63.6 mol%.The respiratory quinone was determined to be ***(DPG),phosphatidylglycerol(PG),phosphatidylcholine(PC),phosphatidylethanolamine(PE),two aminolipids(ALs),two phospholipids(PLs) were *** combined genotypic and phenotypic data show that strain R12B represents a novel species within the genus Roseovarius,for which the name Roseovarius atlanticus *** proposed,with the type strain R12B(=MCCC 1A09786= KCTC 42506).

Dear Editor,Generation of heterozygous genomes by hybridization between or within species can help maintain plant diversity and serve as a potential source of new species(Baek et al.,2018).Moreover,genomic heterozygosity is associated with genomic coadaptation,developmental stability,and *** definition of alleles in haplotypes is necessary to precisely characterize allelic variation controlling agriculturally important traits(Shi et al.,2019).Currently,most released genomes have mosaic assembly of haplotypes due to random selection or collapse of alleles during genome assembly(Shi et al.,2019),which masked allelic variation and functional differentiation of divergent alleles in heterozygous species.

Numerous new taxa and classifications of Dothideomycetes have been published following the last monograph of families of Dothideomycetes in 2013.A recent publication by Honsanan et *** 2020 expanded information of families in Dothideo-mycetidae and Pleosporomycetidae with modern *** this paper,we provide a refined updated document on orders and families incertae sedis of *** family is provided with an updated description,notes,including figures to represent the morphology,a list of accepted genera,and economic and ecological *** also provide phylogenetic trees for each *** this study,31 orders which consist 50 families are assigned as orders incertae sedis in Dothideomycetes,and 41 families are treated as families incertae sedis due to lack of molecular or morphological *** new order,Catinellales,and four new families,Catinellaceae,Morenoinaceae Neobuelliellaceae and Thyrinulaceae are *** genera(Neobuelliella,Pseudomicrothyrium,Flagellostrigula,Swinscowia,Macroconstrictolumina,Pseudobogoriella,and Schummia)are *** new species(Acrospermum urticae,Bogoriella complexoluminata,Dothiorella ostryae,Dyfrolomyces distoseptatus,Macroconstrictolumina megalateralis,Patellaria microspora,and Pseu-domicrothyrium thailandicum)are introduced base on morphology and phylogeny,together with two new records/reports and five new collections from different *** new combinations are also provided in this paper.
