The jasmonate ZIM domain(JAZ)protein belongs to the TIFY((TIF[F/Y]XG)domain protein)family,which is composed of several plant-specific proteins that play important roles in plant growth,development,and defense ***,the mechanism of the sorghum JAZ family in response to abiotic stress remains *** the present study,a total of 17 JAZ genes were identified in sorghum using a Hidden Markov Model *** addition,real-time quantification polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)was used to analyze the gene expression patterns under abiotic *** on phylogenetic tree analysis,the sorghum JAZ proteins were mainly divided into nine subfamilies.A promoter analysis revealed that the SbJAZ family contains diverse types of promoter cis-acting elements,indicating that JAZ proteins function in multiple pathways upon stress stimulation in *** to RT-qPCR,SbJAZ gene expression is ***,under cold,hot,polyethylene glycol,jasmonic acid,abscisic acid,and gibberellin treatments,the expression patterns of SbJAZ genes were distinctly different,indicating that the expression of SbJAZ genes may be coordinated with different ***,the overexpression of SbJAZ1 in Escherichia coli was found to promote the growth of recombinant cells under abiotic stresses,such as PEG 6000,NaCl,and 40℃ ***,our findings help us to better understand the potential molecular mechanisms of the SbJAZ family in sorghum in response to abiotic stresses.

Diamide derivatives are biologically active molecules that have been widely applied in recent years in research on pesticides,especially *** a simple and environmentally friendly scheme,a series of new diamide derivatives containing a trifluoromethylpyridine skeleton was designed,synthesized,and confirmed by^(1)H,^(19)F and^(13)C NMR,and *** insecticidal activities against Plutella xylostella and Helicoverpa armigera were measured and the relationship between structure and activity was *** of the title compounds(D2,D5,D10,D21,D28,D29,D30 and D33)showed 100%activity against *** at 500 mg L^(-1).One compound,D33,still showed 100%activity against *** at 100 mg L^(-1)and had the lowest LC_(50)(lethal concentration 50%,3.7 mg L^(-1))among the synthesized *** docking analysis revealed that D33 could be thoroughly embedded in the active pocket of the ryanodine receptor via hydrogen bonding in a manner similar to the commercial insecticide chlorantraniliprole.

A series of novel chalcone derivatives containing purine moiety was designed and synthesized, and their antiviral activities against cucumber mosaic virus （CMV） and tobacco mosaic virus （TMV） were evaluated in vivo. Bioactivity assays indicated that some compounds showed good antiviral activities against CMV and TMV. It is worth mentioning that compounds 30, 3s, 3w, and 3x exhibited excellent curative activity against CMV, with ECso values of 301.1 μg/mL, 315.7 μg/mL, 282.3 μg/mL, 230.5 μg/mL, respectively, which were better than that of Dufulin （373.7 μg/mL） and Ribavirin （726.3 μg/mL）. In addition, the fluorescence spectroscopy experiment results showed that compound 3o showed strong combining capacity to tobacco mosaic virus coat orotein.

Solid Acid Used as Highly Efficient Catalyst for Esterification of Free Fatty Acids with Alcohols

Anovel solid acid catalyst, which was prepared from sodium alginate (SA) and metal chlorides and characterized with XRD and FT-IR spectrometry, was used for the preparation of biodiesel via esterification reaction. The study results showed that the aluminum-alginate complex prepared in a cheap and easy way exhibited high catalytic activity, and a 92.6% conversion of methyl oleate was obtained in the presence of 4m% of catalyst dosage upon refluxing for 3h of methanol and acid mixed in a molar ratio of 10:1. It should be noted that the catalyst can be applied to the esterification reaction of fatty acids with various carbon chain length on methanol or different short chain alcohols, indicating that the catalyst is suitable for the preparation of biodiesel from waste oils with a high acid value.

Plant virus disease is one of the major causes of biological disasters in agriculture worldwide. Given the complexity of transmission media and plant disease infection mechanisms, the prevention and control of plant viral diseases is a great challenge, and an efficient green pesticide is urgently needed. For this reason, when developing candidate drug leads to regulate plant viruses, pesticide experts have focused on characteristics such as low pesticide resistance, eco-friendliness, and novel mechanism. Researchers have also theoretically investigated the molecular targets of viruses infecting agricultural crops. Antiviral screening models have been constructed based on these molecular targets, and the mechanisms of commercial drugs and high-activity compounds have been extensively investigated. After screening, some compounds have been applied in the field and found to have good commercial prospects; these drugs may be used to create new green antiviral pesticides to control plant viruses. This paper reviews the screening, mode of action, development and application of recently used plant-based antiviral agents.

Mannich reactions of imine with acetylacetone were effectively catalyzed by the modified chiral cinchona alka-loid-derived thiourea. The reactions led to chiral r-amino carbonyl compounds in high yields and good enantiose-lectivities. The study demonstrated for the first time that Mannich reactions of unmodified acetylacetone with het-erocyclic imine derived from benzothiazole can be promoted by chiral bifunctional organocatalyst.

A series of structurally novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole thioether derivatives(6a-6z) containing a 6-fluoroquinazolinylpiperidinyl moiety were designed and synthesized using pharmacophore hybrid approach,and their structures were fully characterized by ^1H NMR,^(13)C NMR and HRMS *** them,the structure of compound 6 d was further corroborated via single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** vitro antibacterial bioassays showed that compounds 6 a,6 g,6 u and 6 v possessed EC_(50) values of 30.4,30.6,27.5 and 26.0 μg/mL against phytopathogenic bacterium Xanthomonas oryzae ***,respectively,which were significantly superior to that of commercially-available bactericide Bismerthiazol(85.1 μg/mL).Moreover,in vitro antifungal bioassays indicated that seven compounds demonstrated broad-spectrum fungicidal acitivties against six types of phytopathogenic fungi at 50 μg/*** present work showed the potential of 1,3,4-oxadiazole thioether derivatives carrying a 6-fluoroquinazolinylpiperidinyl moiety as effective antimicrobial agents for crop protection,deserving further investigations in the future.
