Image processing techniques have become highly essential to improve the data usefulness of the raw images obtained for infrared non-destructive evaluation(NDE).The identification of defective regions from a thermogram has been a common problem in the field of *** segmentation is one of the promising approaches to identify defective regions from *** the present work,segmentation approach based on clustering is *** this image patterns are organized into clusters or groups considering the relationship among *** method involves finding the centroids of the regions and formation of clusters around each *** is applied to improve accuracy in formation of *** thresholding method is adapted to retrieve the shape of defect and to improve the possible diagnosis capabilities of system for NDE *** proposed method is investigated with frequency modulated thermal wave imaging(FMTWI)over glass fiber reinforced polymers(GFRP).The GFRP sample consists of square shaped Teflon inserts of different dimensions placed at various depths.A comparative study of the proposed novel segmentation scheme and existing segmentation methods is conducted.

We present the results of eyestalk extirpation experiments performed on the fiddler crab, Uca triangularis at seasons of molting and reproduction, with a view to have a better understanding of the regulatory mechanisms of these two highly energy-demanding processes. Bilateral eyestalk ablation resulted in precocious acceleration of both molting and reproduction, irrespective of the season at which each experiment was conducted. The rate of accelerated ovarian growth, however, was maximum if the eyestalk ablation was conducted during August-January, the breeding season in the wild, or in February- May （molting-reproductive season）, wherein a section of the wild population would be engaged in molting and another section in breeding. The highest degree of precocious molt acceleration, on the other hand, was obtained during June-July when the population was primarily engaged in molting, but with no reproductive activity. The precocious oocyte maturation （due to de-eyestalking） was minimal in June--July. Significantly, the eyestalk ablation also resulted in a dramatic increase in the hemolymph ecdysteroid titer, revealing that a high ecdysteroid titer would have no restraining influence on vitellogenesis. No spawning was, however, observed among de-eyestalked females, even though their final oocyte size surpassed the size of the normal mature oocytes, implying that spawning is not exclusively under the control of eyestalk hormones. A comparative study performed on the viteUine components of the experimentals and the controls revealed that the precociously incorporated yolk under eyestalk ablation was biochemically impoverished. These results indicate that throughout the annual cycle, both the somatic and the reproductive growth of U. triangularis are under the influence of inhibitory principles from the eyestalks. It is also revealing that mere deprival of the inhibitory principles does not culminate into successful vitellogenesis. Arguably, the inhibitory influence from

The IEEE 802.16d communication standard uses orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （OFDM）. In the widely used OFDM systems, the fast Fourier transform （FFT） and inverse fast Fourier transform pairs are used to modulate and demodulate the data constellation on the sub-carriers. In this paper, a high level implementation of a high performance FFT for OFDM modulator and demodulator is presented. The design has been coded in Verilog and targeted into Xilinx Spartan3 field programmable gate arrays. Radix-22 algorithm is proposed and used for the OFDM communication system. The design of the FFT is implemented and applied to fixed WiMAX--IEEE 802.16d communi- cation standard. The results are tabulated and the hardware parameters are compared. The proposed architecture is least in number of multipliers used and the memory size, and second to the least in number of adders used.

The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of chrysoeriol from Cardiospermum halicacabum in streptozotocin induced Wistar *** rats were categorized as control,diabetic control supplemented with 0,20 mg/kg chrysoeriol and 600μg/kg BW of glibenclamide for 45-day trial *** results indicated that the inclusion of chrysoeriol(20 mg/kg)showed a significant reduction in plasma glucose,hemoglobin and glycosylated hemoglobin level with a rising of plasma insulin ***,downregulated enzymes including glucose 6-phosphatase,fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase,and glycogen phosphorylase as well upregulated enzymes such as hexokinase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase,pyruvate kinase,and hepatic glycogen *** was a diminish action found in liver glycogen synthase of tested rat with a rise in gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase,towards normal levels upon treatment with *** histopathological study confirmed that renewal of the beta cells of pancreatic of chrysoeriol and glibenclamide treated *** addition,the molecular docking of chrysoeriol against glycolytic enzymes including hexokinase,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase,pyruvate kinase,using Argus software shows chrysoeriol had greatest ligand binding energy as equivalent to glibenclamide,as a standard ***,chrysoeriol found to be non-toxic with potential regulation on glycemic control and upregulation of the carbohydrate metabolic enzymes.

The anticorrosion characteristics of the seeds of Psidium guajava （P. guajava） fruits on carbon steel in acid medium were examined with weight loss data and subsequently thermodynamic factors such as heat of ad- sorption of the inhibitor on the metal surface （Q）, change in entropy （ΔS）, change in flee energy of the reaction （ΔG）, corrosion rate （CR） and energy of activation for corrosion reaction of carbon steel （E） were also evaluated. Adsorption isotherm was plotted to study the adsorption of the inhibitor on the metal surface with increasing concentration of the inhibitor. The functional groups responsible for inhibition were investi- gated using Fourier transform infrared （FT-IR） spectra. Electrochemical parameters were evaluated through the potentiodynamic Tafel polarization and impedance spectral studies. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM） micrographs were recorded to investigate the change in surface morphology. The complete study reveals the efficiency of seed extract of P. guajava as a safe, ecofriendly and alternate corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in acid medium.

In the primitive era, humans benefited partially from plants and metals to treat microbial infections. Later these infections were cured with antibiotics but further suffered from resistance issues. In searching of an alternative, researchers developed an adjuvant therapy but were hampered by spreading resistance. Subsequently, nanoparticles(NPs) were proposed to cease the multi-drug resistant bacteria but were hindered due to toxicity issues. Recently, a novel adjuvant therapy employed metals and botanicals into innovative nanotechnology as nano-antibiotics. The combination of green synthesized metallic NPs with antibiotics seems to be a viable platform to combat against MDR bacteria by alleviating resistance and toxicity. This review focuses on the primitive to present era dealings with bacterial resistance mechanisms, newer innovations of nanotechnology and their multiple mechanisms to combat resistance. In addition, special focus is paid on greener NPs as antibiotic carriers, and their future prospects of controlled release and toxicity study.

A wideband rectangular patch antenna resonat- ing at 3.5 GHz and 8 GHz frequencies is developed on a flexible substrate, which can be used for wearable applications. The proposed antenna gives a wide impe- dance bandwidth of 116%, operating from *** to 9.5 GHz, covering most of the ultra-wideband （UWB） operating frequency range. A two-element multiple-input multiple-output （MIMO） system is developed using the proposed antenna, and the mutual coupling between the two antennas for various separations and frequencies is analyzed by using artificial neural networks （ANNs）. The neural structure is trained by using different ANN algorithms and a comparative study is made between them. It is shown that, quasi-Newton （QN） and quasi- Newton multi layer perceptron （QN-MLP） algorithms are better in terms of training, testing errors, and correlation coefficient.

The current research study focuses to formulate the biosynthesized silver nanoparticles for the first time from silver acetate using methanolic root extracts of Diospyros sylvatica,a member of family Ebenaceae. TEM analysis revealed the average diameter of Ag NPs around 8 nm which is in good agreement with the average crystallite size（10 nm）calculated from X-ray Diffraction（XRD）analysis. Further the study has been extended to the antimicrobial activity against test pathogenic Gram（＋）ve,Gram（-）ve bacterial and fungal strains. The bioinspired Ag-NP showed promising activity against all the tested bacterial strains and the activity was enhanced with increased dosage levels

In this project, we studied land use and land cover classification of Nirmal Mandal, Adilabad district, Telenagna state by using Geographical Information system and Remote sensing techniques. LISS-IV satellite image resolution 5 m × 5 m provides quality information for identification of Land use/Land cover characteristics. The image accuracy shows 45.70% of Agricultural land, 9.10% Built-up land, Forest area is 7.90%, Barren land have 7.60% and Uncultivated land occupied 29.70%. National land use and land cover mapping report based on 5 divisions classified in the study area. The area land use and land cover classification provide reliable data to understand land, water, soil, forests, urban sprawl. This socio economic survey significantly shows the changes that so far have taken place. This will help the people/farmers for the future land use and land cover change detection. Regular monitoring of agriculture, forest and greening efforts for plantation at suitable area, schemes and limitations. Free ware browsing of land cover gives sufficient development to plenty resource.
