With the increasing attention paid to battery technology,the microscopic reaction mechanism and macroscopic heat transfer process of lithium-ion batteries have been further studied and understood from both academic and industrial ***,as one of the key parameters in the physical fra mework of batteries,affects the performa nce of the multi-physical fields within the battery,a nd its effective control is *** the heat generation in the battery is determined by the real-time operating conditions,the battery temperature is essentially controlled by the real-time heat dissipation conditions provided by the battery thermal management *** battery thermal management systems have basic temperature control capabilities for most conventional application ***,with the current development of la rge-scale,integrated,and intelligent battery technology,the adva ncement of battery thermal management technology will pay more attention to the effective control of battery temperature under sophisticated situations,such as high power and widely varied operating *** this context,this paper presents the latest advances and representative research related to battery thermal management ***,starting from battery thermal profile,the mechanism of battery heat generation is discussed in ***,the static characteristics of the traditional battery thermal management system are ***,considering the dynamic requirements of battery heat dissipation under complex operating conditions,the concept of adaptive battery thermal management system is proposed based on specific research ***,the main challenges for battery thermal management system in practice are identified,and potential future developments to overcome these challenges are presented and discussed.

The evolution of dislocation loops in austenitic steels irradiated with Fe^(+)is investigated using cluster dynamics(CD)simulations by developing a CD *** CD predictions are compared with experimental results in the *** number density and average diameter of the dislocation loops obtained from the CD simulations are in good agreement with the experimental data obtained from transmission electron microscopy(TEM)observations of Fe~+-irradiated Solution Annealed 304,Cold Worked 316,and HR3 austenitic steels in the *** CD simulation results demonstrate that the diffusion of in-cascade interstitial clusters plays a major role in the dislocation loop density and dislocation loop growth;in particular,for the HR3 austenitic steel,the CD model has verified the effect of temperature on the density and size of the dislocation loops.

The scheduling problem in surgery is difficult because, in addition of the planning of the operating rooms which are the most expensive resources in hospitals, each surgery requires a combination of human and material resources. In this paper, the authors address a surgery scheduling problem which arises in operated health care facility. Moreover, the authors consider simultaneously materiel and human resources. This problem is a three-stages flow shop scheduling environment. The first stage(ward) contains a limited number of resources of the same type(beds);The second stage contains different resources with limited capacity(operating rooms, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists)and the third stage contains a limited number of recovery beds. There is also a limited number of transporters(porters) between the ward and the other stages. The objective of the problem is to minimize the completion time of the last patient(makespan). The authors formulate this NP-Hard problem in a mixed integer programming model and conduct computational experiments to evaluate the performance of the proposed model.

The augmented Lagrangian function and the corresponding augmented Lagrangian method are constructed for solving a class of minimax optimization problems with equality *** prove that,under the linear independence constraint qualification and the second-order sufficiency optimality condition for the lower level problem and the second-order sufficiency optimality condition for the minimax problem,for a given multiplier vectorμ,the rate of convergence of the augmented Lagrangian method is linear with respect to||μu-μ^(*)||and the ratio constant is proportional to 1/c when the ratio|μ-μ^(*)||/c is small enough,where c is the penalty parameter that exceeds a threshold c_(*)>O andμ^(*)is the multiplier corresponding to a local ***,we prove that the sequence of multiplier vectors generated by the augmented Lagrangian method has at least Q-linear convergence if the sequence of penalty parameters(ck)is bounded and the convergence rate is superlinear if(ck)is increasing to ***,we use a direct way to establish the rate of convergence of the augmented Lagrangian method for the minimax problem with a quadratic objective function and linear equality constraints.

Battery production is crucial for determining the quality of electrode,which in turn affects the manufactured battery *** battery production is complicated with strongly coupled intermediate and control parameters,an efficient solution that can perform a reliable sensitivity analysis of the production terms of interest and forecast key battery properties in the early production phase is urgently *** paper performs detailed sensitivity analysis of key production terms on determining the properties of manufactured battery electrode via advanced data-driven *** be specific,an explainable neural network named generalized additive model with structured interaction(GAM-SI)is designed to predict two key battery properties,including electrode mass loading and porosity,while the effects of four early production terms on manufactured batteries are explained and *** experimental results reveal that the proposed method is able to accurately predict battery electrode properties in the mixing and coating *** addition,the importance ratio ranking,global interpretation and local interpretation of both the main effects and pairwise interactions can be effectively visualized by the designed neural *** to the merits of interpretability,the proposed GAM-SI can help engineers gain important insights for understanding complicated production behavior,further benefitting smart battery production.

Metabolic characterization of selected probiotic consortia during gluten and wheat bread simulated digestion

While exerting their metabolic activities in the gastrointestinal milieu， probiotics impact the host well-being by boosting immunity， treating metabolic disorders， and modulating microbiota and metabolome. Due to the high incidence of gluten-based disorders， the present work aims to deeply explore the metabolism of two selected microbial consortia (MCs) during gluten digestion under simulated gastrointestinal conditions. Featured by high protease and peptidase activity， both MCs accounted for different lactic acid bacteria and Bacillus strains that were combined with two commercial protease enzymes. Gluten substrates were used as purified extracts， white and whole wheat breads. Control samples， instead， relied onto the microbial enzyme lack. Twenty-four hours of simulated digestion were sufficient to completely hydrolyze gluten in one of the two MC-containing experimental sets， and the relative 48 h-digested extract did not alter the cytokine expression in duodenal biopsies from celiac disease (CeD) patients. When digested samples were assayed for antioxidant and phytase activities， microbial enzymes demonstrated to significantly improve both ABTS and DPPH values and to decrease the phytic acid concentration. The inspection of the free amino acid profiles allowed for distinguishing the two MCs， whereas the detection of a heterogeneous panel of volatile organic compounds supported the presence/activity of microbial enzymes without statistically significant differences between MCs. As functional contribution， digested extracts with MCs also proved to reduce the inflammatory cytokine concentrations in cell lines exposed to lipopolysaccharide trigger. Therefore， in line with studies exploring novel adjuvant therapies， the present innovative probiotic consortium featured by high gluten-hydrolyzing metabolism also showed the capability to improve various parameters usually found to be altered in patients affected by gluten-based disorders or CeD.

Objective:To provide new insights for the evaluation and diagnosis of chronic neck pain(CNP).Methods:22 patients with CNP and 22 healthy individuals were recruited from South China Normal university,who were all college *** subjects'neck extensor muscle strength in the head neutral position,the natural anteversion position,and the maximum forward flexion position were measured by an isometric muscle strength tester *** neck extensor strength of CNP patients and healthy subjects were ***:In the neutral position,the maximum isometric muscle strength of neck extensor muscles was 12.31 kg for CNP patients and 15.16 kg for healthy individuals,resulting in a ratio of 81%strength in patients compared to healthy *** difference was highly significant(P<0.000).In the natural anteversion position,the respective values were 12.6 kg for CNP patients and 15.05 kg for healthy individuals,with a ratio of 83%,and a significant difference between groups(P<0.001).In the maximum forward flexion position of the head,the values were 13.36 kg for CNP patients and 16.15 kg for healthy individuals,with a ratio of 82%,and a highly significant difference(P<0.000).Conclusion:The neck extensor muscle strength levels in college students with CNP were significantly lower compared to healthy college students across all measured positions.
