Analysing spatial data performance in inter-organisational processes

The use of spatial data has become a key factor in numerous public sector ***,recent evidence suggests that the seemingly obvious benefits of spatial data use and sharing often stay beyond *** paper examines whether the performance of spatial data in inter-organisational processes depends on the structural characteristics of the process *** structure here refers to the way in which tasks are divided and coordinated between the organisations in a process chain,and to the allocation of the spatial data handling tasks in that *** data performance describes the level of access,use and sharing of spatial data in the *** paper presents the results of a comparative case study of interorganisational public sector processes in the fields of urban planning,flood management,population registration,environmental permit delivery and road safety *** findings suggest that spatial data performance in inter-organisational processes depends on the interplay between the structural characteristics of the *** processes with embedded activities that are related to spatial data are apparently linked to a high level of spatial data performance,while fragmented processes without centralised coordination,or processes in which the spatial datarelated activities are separated from the actual process,seem to relate to lower levels of spatial data performance.

针对群养猪攻击过程中身体形变和重叠影响猪身份识别精度的问题,开发一种基于注意力机制和自适应特征融合的深度学习方法以提高猪身份识别精度。录制猪栏中8只猪每天8小时共3天的视频,并筛选含攻击的16830帧作为数据集。首先,采用ResNet50提取猪的卷积神经网络(CNN)特征;然后,采用特征金字塔网络(FPN)在ResNet50中选择3层不同尺度的特征,以优化这些特征的定位和语义信息;接着,采用自注意力机制提高这些特征的区分度,并采用自适应空间特征融合(ASFF)以融合不同尺度的特征;最后,利用卷积和Sigmoid函数相结合的检测器对猪身份进行识别。使用该方法后,猪身份识别的均值平均精度(mAP)达到95.59%,速度达到37.6 f/s。结果表明,该方法能够在攻击场景下有效识别猪身份,有助于将攻击识别从群体级细化为个体级。

Structured illumination microscopy(SIM)is a popular and powerful super-resolution(SR)technique in biomedical ***,the conventional reconstruction algorithm for SIM heavily relies on the accurate prior knowledge of illumination patterns and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of raw *** obtain high-quality SR images,several raw images need to be captured under high fluorescence level,which further restricts SIM’s temporal resolution and its *** learning(DL)is a data-driven technology that has been used to expand the limits of optical *** this study,we propose a deep neural network based on multi-level wavelet and attention mechanism(MWAM)for *** results show that the MWAM network can extract high-frequency information contained in SIM raw images and accurately integrate it into the output image,resulting in superior SR images compared to those generated using wide-field images as input *** also demonstrate that the number of SIM raw images can be reduced to three,with one image in each illumination orientation,to achieve the optimal tradeoff between temporal and spatial ***,our MWAM network exhibits superior reconstruction ability on low-SNR images compared to conventional SIM *** have also analyzed the adaptability of this network on other biological samples and successfully applied the pretrained model to other SIM systems.

Background： Tropical dry forests cover less than 13 % of the world＇s tropical forests and their area and biodiversity are declining. In southern Africa, the major threat is increasing population pressure, while drought caused by climate change is a potential threat in the drier transition zones to shrub land. Monitoring climate change impacts in these transition zones is difficult as there is inadequate information on forest composition to allow disentanglement from other environmental drivers. Methods： This study combined historical and modern forest inventories covering an area of 21,000 km2 in a transition zone in Namibia and Angola to distinguish late succession tree communities, to understand their dependence on site factors, and to detect trends in the forest composition over the last 40 years. Results： The woodlands were dominated by six tree species that represented 84 % of the total basal area and can be referred to as Bdikioea - Pterocarpus woodlands. A boosted regression tree analysis revealed that late succession tree communities are primarily determined by climate and topography. The Schinziophyton rautanenfi and Baikiaea plurijuga communities are common on slightly inclined dune or valley slopes and had the highest basal area （5.5 - 6.2 m^2 ha＆-1）. The Burkea africana - Guibourtia coleosperma and Pterocarpus angolensis - Diafium englerianum communities are typical for the sandy plateaux and have a higher proportion of smaller stems caused by a higher fire frequency. A decrease in overall basal area or a trend of increasing domination by the more drought and cold resilient B. africana community was not confirmed by the historical data, but there were significant decreases in basal area for Ochna pulchra and the valuable fruit tree D. englerianum. Conclusions： The slope communities are more sheltered from fire, frost and drought but are more susceptible to human expansion. In rarefied gas flows,the spatial grid size could vary by several orders of magnitude in a single flow configuration(e.g.,inside the Knudsen layer it is at the order of mean free path of gas molecules,while in the bulk region it is at a much larger hydrodynamic scale).Therefore,efficient implicit numerical method is urgently needed for time-dependent ***,the integro-differential nature of gas kinetic equations poses a grand challenge,as the gain part of the collision operator is *** an iterative solver is required in each time step,which usually takes a lot of iterations in the(near)continuum flow regime where the Knudsen number is small;worse still,the solution does not asymptotically preserve the fluid dynamic limit when the spatial cell size is not refined *** on the general synthetic iteration scheme for steady-state solution of the Boltzmann equation,we propose two numerical schemes to push the multiscale simulation of unsteady rarefied gas flows to a new boundary,that is,the numerical solution not only converges within dozens of iterations in each time step,but also asymptotically preserves the Navier-Stokes-Fourier limit in the continuum flow regime,when the spatial grid is coarse,and the time step is large(e.g.,in simulating the extreme slow decay of two-dimensional Taylor vortex,the time step is even at the order of vortex decay time).The properties of fast convergence and asymptotic preserving of the proposed schemes are not only rigorously proven by the Fourier stability analysis for simplified gas kinetic models,but also demonstrated by several numerical examples for the gas kinetic models and the Boltzmann equation.

Despite its essential importance to various spatial agriculture and environmental applications,the information on actual cropland area and its geographical distribution remain highly uncertain over Africa among remote-sensing *** of the African regions has its unique physical and environmental limiting factors to accurate cropland mapping,which leads to high spatial discre-pancies among remote sensing cropland *** no dataset could cope with all limitations,multiple datasets initially derived from various remote sensing sensors and classification techniques must be integrated into a more accurate cropland product than individual ***,in the current study,four cropland products,produced initially from multiple sensors(***-8 OLI,Sentinel-2 MSI,and PROBA-V)to cover the period(2015-2017),were integrated based on their cropland mapping accuracy to build a more accurate cropland *** four cropland layers’accuracy was assessed at Agro-ecological zones units via an inten-sive reference dataset(17,592 samples).The most accurate crop-land layer was then identified for each zone to construct the final cropland mask at 30 m resolution for the nominal year of 2016 over *** a result,the new layer was produced in higher cropland mapping accuracy(overall accuracy=91.64%and cropland’s F-score=0.75).The layer mapped the African cropland area as 282 Mha(9.38%of the Continent area).Compared to earlier crop-land synergy layers,the constructed cropland mask showed a considerable improvement in its spatial resolution(30 m instead of 250 m),mapping quality,and closeness to official statistics(R^(2)=0.853 and RMSE=2.85 Mha).The final layer can be down-loaded as described under the“Data Availability Statement”section.

Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)can support various high-reliability and low-delay applications in Maritime Networks(MNs).However,security risks in computing task offloading *** this study,the location privacy leakage risk of Maritime Mobile Terminals(MMTs)is quantified during task offloading and relevant Location Privacy Protection(LPP)schemes of MMT are considered under two kinds of task offloading *** single-MMT and single-time offloading scenario,a dynamic cache and spatial cloaking-based LPP(DS-CLP)algorithm is proposed;and under the multi-MMTs and multi-time offloading scenario,a pseudonym and alterable silent period-based LPP(PA-SLP)strategy is *** results show that the DS-CLP can save the response time and communication cost compared with traditional algorithms while protecting the MMT location ***,extending the alterable silent period,increasing the number of MMTs in the maritime area or improving the pseudonym update probability can enhance the LPP effect of MMTs in ***,the study results can be effectively applied to MNs with poor communication environments and relatively insufficient computing resources.

To investigate the hydrogeochemical characteristics of groundwater 23 shallow, 30 intermediate and 38 deep wells samples were collected from Sylhet district of Bangladesh, and analyzed for temperature, pH, Eh, EC,DO, DOC, Na^+, K^+, Ca^(2+), Mg^(2+), Cl^-, SO_4^(2-), NO_3^-,HCO_3^-, SiO_2^-, Fe, Mn and As. Besides, 12 surface water samples from Surma and Kushiyara Rivers were also collected and analyzed to understand the influence into aquifers. Results revealed that, most of the groundwater samples are acidic in nature, and Na–HCO_3 is the dominant groundwater type. The mean value of temperature, EC,Na^+, K^+, Ca^(2+), Mg^(2+), Cl^-, NO_3^- and SO_4^(2-) were found within the range of permissible limits, while most of the samples exceeds the allowable limits of Fe, Mn and As concentrations. However, relatively higher concentration of Fe and Mn were found in deep water samples and reverse trend was found in case of As. The mean concentrations of As in shallow, intermediate and deep wells were 39.3, 25.3and 21.4 lg/L respectively, which varied from 0.03 to148 lg/L. From spatial distribution, it was found that Fe,Mn and As concentrations are high but patchy in northern,north-western, and south-western part of Sylhet region. The most influential geochemical process in study area were identified as silicate weathering, characterized by active cation exchange process and carbonate weathering, which thereby can enhance the elemental concentrations in groundwater. Pearson's correlation matrix, principal component analysis and cluster analysis were also employed to evaluate the controlling factors, and it was found that, both natural and anthropogenic sources were influencing the groundwater chemistry of the aquifers. However, surface water has no significant role to contaminate the aquifers,rather geogenic factors affecting the trace elemental contamination.
