Objective:The present study aimed to address the care of psychiatric patients and its impact on nurses’behavior in Saudi ***:A cross-sectional quantitative questionnaire-based study was *** study was carried out in various government hospitals across different regions of Saudi ***:A total of 73 nurses participated in the study,with male nurses comprising the majority(61.6%)compared to *** a young nurse or with few years of work experience is linked with more predilection towards preventive behaviour and/or physical activity.A significant mean difference was observed,indicating higher scores for preventive behavior among females(female 14.93±5.82 *** 11.56±5.48,P=0.015).The Bonferroni post hoc multiple comparisons did not reveal any statistical significance for single ***(P=0.618),single ***(P=0.223),and married ***(P=0.020).Conclusion:The study results demonstrated a significant impact of caring for psychiatric patients on nurses’*** is concerning because psychological and mental health strain has been shown to contribute to unhealthy lifestyle habits,such as physical inactivity and sleep deprivation,which,in turn,can contribute to the increasing incidence and prevalence of chronic *** interventions targeting psychiatric and mental health nurses should be designed and examined to emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and an active lifestyle.

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Hepatitis B Virus in jazan region, Saudi Arabia: Cross-Sectional Health Facility Based Study

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to estimate the prevalence of the HBV infection in jazan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and to correlate serologic findings with epidemiological data and known risk factors. Methods: Cross-sectional study conducted in 10 health facilities jazan province. Study participants (2041) were interviewed using a structured questionnaire. HBsAg was tested in the blood samples collected from the study participants using commercially available kits. Results: The overall prevalence of hepatitis B among study participants was 8.3% (95% CI: 7.2 - 9.6). The prevalence of HBsAg was found to be the highest (22.4%) among those who were over 60 years old (95% CI: 13.2 - 35.0). For participants under 20 years old, the prevalence was the lowest, at only 2.5%. For males the HBV prevalence was 11.2% (95% CI: 9.3 - 13.3), compared to 7.0% (95 CI: 5.5% - 8.8%) for females. Subjects with a family history of HBV (p = 0. 002) and dental procedures (p = 0.008) were found to be associated with higher risk for HBV infection. Conclusion: The prevalence of HBsAg in adults in jazan remains highly relative to KSA national level. Results showed a marked reduction in HBV among participants under 20 years old. This could be mainly attributed to the successful implementation of the children’s HB immunization programs in the region. Additional efforts to control HBV and vaccination for adults are highly recommended.

Kinetic and Equilibrium Isotherms Studies of Adsorption of Pb(II) from Water onto Natural Adsorbent

In this research dobera leaves (DL), an agricultural waste, available in large quantity in south region of Saudi Arabia, were used as low-cost adsorbent for removal of metal ions such as Pb(II). Batch operation was used to study the equilibrium behavior of DL. The effects of initial concentration of Pb(II), solution pH, contact time and adsorbent dose were evaluated. To study the kinetics of adsorption of Pb(II) onto DL, pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order and intra-particle diffusion were used. Adsorption process undergoes pseudo-second-order kinetic as proved by the high value of R2. Furthermore, to design the equilibrium data of adsorption of process, four adsorption isotherm models such as Langmuir, Freundlich Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) were used. It is found that Langmuir equation has the highest value of R2 (0.999) compared with other models. In presences of a mixture of Pb(II)/Ni(II), DL were found to be selective for Pb(II) ions with a high adsorptive capacity of 83 mg/g and show favorable adsorption with RL 90%) from drinking water with less competition of other ions present in water.

Background and objectives:An auricular pseudocyst is not uncommon in routine ENT clinical practice,it occurs when fluid accumulates between the intracartilaginous spaces of the *** treatment modalities have been proposed such as incision and drainage of the cyst,simple needle aspiration,tight bandaging with dental rolls,however recurrence and cosmetic problems are still noted in some *** aim of this article was to discuss our experience of surgical treatment of intractable auricular pseudocysts with marsupialisation,deroofing and anterior cartilage leaflet removal along with compression suture *** and methods:Twenty patients were included in the study conducted at ENT department,Sur Ministry of Health Hospital between January 2012 and January 2014 after prior consent and ethical *** following trauma and other pinna conditions like relapsing polychondritis were excluded from our *** clinical appearances were noted and all patients underwent surgical deroofing with removal of anterior cartilage leaflet and compression suture therapy using buttons for two *** and observations:There were 8 males and 12 females out of the 20 and right sided pinna(n Z 14)involvement in the region of the scaphoid fossa(n Z 12)was more than the triangular fossa(n Z 3)or conchal bowl involvement(n Z 5).Mostly patients between 30 and 40 years of age were affected(Mean age of 37 years and standard deviation of 8).The overall success rate with deroofing and compression suture therapy was 98%.Conclusions:Auricular pseudocysts are not an uncommon condition affecting middle aged patients without identifiable *** modalities may be the first choice of treatment for auricular pseudocysts although varied recurrence and failure rates have been published in the ***,the deroofing surgical technique with anterior cartilage leaflet removal with compression suture therapy is a reliable and easy procedure which can achie

Chronic kidney disease （CKD） is a worldwide public health problem that is growing in prevalence and is associated with severe complications. During the progression of the disease, a majority of CKD patients suffer oral complications. dental implants are currently the most reliable and successful treatment for missing teeth. However, due to complications of CKD such as infections, bone lesions, bleeding risks, and altered drug metabolism, dental implant treatment for renal failure patients on dialysis is more challenging. In this review, we have summarized the characteristics of CKD and previous publications regarding dental treatments for renal failure patients. In addition, we discuss our recent research results and clinical experience in order to provide dental implant practitioners with a clinical guideline for dental implant treatment for renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Environmental fate and health exposures of the geogenic and anthropogenic contaminants in potable groundwater of Lower Ganga Basin,India

The study evaluated the sources and controlling factors of the groundwater contaminants in an agroeconomic region of Lower Ganga Basin using principal component analysis(PCA),multivariable linear regressions(MLR),correlation analysis,and hierarchical cluster analysis,and evaluated the public health risks using the Latin Hypercube Sampling,goodness-of-fit statistics,Monte Carlo simulation and Sobol sensitivity analysis based on the 1000 samples collected in two sampling cycles(N=1000).The study reveals that the dissolution of fluoride-bearing minerals and semi-arid climate regulate the fluoride concentrations(0.10–18.25 mg/L)in *** application of inorganic nitrogenous fertilizers and livestock manure mainly contributed to elevated nitrate levels(up to 435.0 mg/L)in *** health risks analysis indicates that fluoride exposure is more prevalent in the residents of each age group than the nitrate and both contaminants exhibited higher non-carcinogenic health risks on the infant and child(minor)age groups compared to adolescents and *** on the cokriging interpolation mapping,the minor residents of 17.88%–23.15%of the total area(4545.0 km^(2))are vulnerable to methemoglobinemia whereas the residents of all age-groups in 38.47%–44.45%of the total area are susceptible to mild to severe dental/skeletal fluorosis owing to consumption of untreated nitrate and fluoride enriched *** Sobol sensitivity indices revealed contaminant levels,groundwater intake rate and their collective effects are the most influential factors to pose potential health risks on the *** recharge and rainwater harvesting practices should be adopted to improve the groundwater quality and the residents are advised to drink purified groundwater.

BACKGROUND： In order to study the pathogenesis of iron-induced posttraumatic epilepsy （PTE）, foreign scholars have established several kinds of PTE animal models, among which, the iron- induced PTE animal models proposed by Willmore is the most famous. The iron-induced PTE animal models can be established by two methods： one is cortical ferric chloride injection （CFCI） and the other one is pial iontophoresis of ferric chloride （PIFC）. Because Willmore did not give out the elaboration of the behaviors and electroencephalograms （EEGs） of the iron induced PTE animal models established by these two methods, so we have known little about these animal models. OBJECTIVE： To observe the behaviors and EEGs of the iron-induced PTE animal models established by PIFC and CFCI, in order to compare the differences and the study value of these two methods. DESIGN： Qualitative controlled observation tria SETTING： Department of Neurosurgery, Urumqi General Hospital, Lanzhou Military Area Command of Chinese PLA. MATERIALS： Forty healthy adult male SD rats, weighing 200 to 250 g, were involved in this experiment. Reagents and instruments： Ferric chloride （FeCl3·6H2O, Sigma USA）, rat stereotaxic apparatus （ASI company, USA）, the wireless blue tooth electroencephlograms recording system （Nuocheng electric ***, Shanghai）, a set of air turbine dental drill unit, dental base acrylic resin powder, microinjector （50 μL）, amperemeter （1 mA）, a pair of batteries, electric resistance （200 kΩ） , variable resistance （100 kΩ）, tubule with endo-meridians of 2 mm （used as import tube）, several silver wire segments and several acupuncture needles were employed in this study. Prevalence of precancerous lesions and conditions in India: A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Smoking and chewing tobacco are associated with numerous oral mucosal lesions and conditions,often leading to cancer *** To investigate the prevalence of precancerous lesions and conditions among the Indian *** Systematic search was conducted for population or community-based observational epidemiological studies in PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,IndMED,Google Scholar,reports of the WHO south-East Asia region,MOHFW India reports,Science Citation Index,WHO Index Medicus of the south-East Asian region,Reference Citation Analysis(https://***/)and Open Grey from the earliest available up to 31st January *** effect size was calculated for the prevalence of precancerous lesions and *** One hundred sixty-two estimates from 130 studies yielded 52 high,71 moderate,and seven low-quality studies from *** estimate based on crosssectional studies for leukoplakia was 4.3%(95%CI:4.0-4.6),oral submucous fibrosis was 2.7%(95%CI:2.5-3.0),palatal lesions in reverse smokers and nicotine palatine were 5.8%(95%CI:4.4-7.2),and Erythroplakia was 1.2%(95%CI:0.7-1.7),and lichen planus was 1.1%(95%CI:0.9-1.2).Amongst hospital-based studies,the pooled prevalence for Leukoplakia was 6.7%(95%CI:6.0-7.3),oral submucous fibrosis was 4.5%(95%CI:4.2-4.9),lichen planus was 7.5%(95%CI:5.3-9.6),and erythroplakia was 2.5%(95%CI:0.4-4.5),and palatal lesions in reverse smokers and nicotine palatini were 11.5%(95%CI:8.0-15.0).CONCLUSION Precancerous lesions and conditions are prevailing problems among the Indian *** is mainly due to tobacco use,the smokeless form of *** meta-analysis indicates that hospital-based studies have a higher effect size of 6.7%than community-based *** who have already developed this condition may be advised to reduce their exposure to the risk factor to prevent the condition from progressing further.

AIM： To examine the presence of human papillomavirus （HPV） in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma （ESCC） specimens collected from Colombia and Chile located in the northern and southern ends of the continent, respectively.METHODS： We examined 47 and 26 formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded ESCC specimens from Colombia and Chile, respectively. HPV was detected using GP5＋/GP6＋ primer pair for PCR, and confirmed by southern blot analysis. Sequencing analysis of L1 region fragment was used to identify HPV genotype. In addition, P16^INK4A protein immunostaining of all the specimens was conducted.RESULTS： HPV was detected in 21 ESCC specimens （29%）. Sequencing analysis of L1 region fragment identified HPV-16 genome in 6 Colombian cases （13%） and in 5 Chilean cases （19%）. HPV-18 was detected in i0 cases （21%） in Colombia but not in any Chilean case. Since Chilean ESCC cases had a higher prevalence of HPV-16 （without statistical significance）, but a significantly lower prevalence of HPV-18 than in Colombian cases （P = 0.011） even though the two countries have similar ESCC incidence rates, the frequency of HPV-related ESCC may not be strongly affected by risk factors affecting the incidence of ESCC. HPV-16 genome was more frequently detected in p16 positive carcinomas, although the difference was not statistically significant. HPV-18 detection rate did not show any association with p16 expression. Well-differentiated tumors tended to have either HPV-16 or HPV-18 but the association was not statistically significant. HPV genotypes other than HPV-16 or 18 were not detected in either country.CONCLUSION： HPV-16 and HPV-18 genotypes can be found in ESCC specimens collected from two south American countries. Further studies on the relationship between HPV-16 presence and p16 expression in ESCC would aid understanding of the mechanism underlying the presence of HPV in ESCC.
