Introduction Congenital granular cell epulis(CGCE)is a rare,benign tumor that manifests on the mucosal surface of the alveolar ridge in *** was initially described by Neumann in 1871 and has been referred to by various names such as congenital epulis,congenital epulis of the newborn,and congenital granular cell tumor.1 Documentation on larger tumors is limited and reported diameters vary.2 Diagnosis necessitates histological examination and immunohistochemical staining,typically revealing negative immunoreactivity for s-100 and cluster of differentiation 68(CD68).3,4 This article presents a case of CGCE with weakly positive s-100 and CD68 staining,alongside a relatively large ***,it conducts a literature review on diverse aspects,encompassing multidisciplinary prenatal diagnosis,antenatal management,choice of delivery mode during childbirth,and postnatal treatment,with the objective of augmenting clinicians’comprehension of the *** study adhered to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki and obtained informed consent from the patient and approval from the medical ethics committee of Chongqing Health Center for women and children.

BACKGROUND Hormone replacement therapy is an effective treatment strategy for the management of symptoms in naturally menopausal ***,some patients report experiencing adverse *** To analyze the effects of hormone replacement therapy in menopausal female *** A total of 152 menopausal female patients admitted to the Gynecology Department of the Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health hospital between January 2021 and December 2023 were divided into the observation group(n=76,conventional treatment+hormone replacement therapy)and the control group(n=76,conventional treatment only)via random *** improvement observed in the following items were compared between the groups:Kupperman menopausal index(KMI),emotional state[The Positive and Negative Affect scale(PANAs)],sleep quality[self-Rating scale of sleep(sRss)],treatment effectiveness,and treatment *** The modified KMI and sRss scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after three rounds of *** improvement in the PANAs score observed in the observation group was greater than that observed in the control group(Pservation group was higher than that in the control group(86.84%vs 96.05%,χ2=4.121,P=0.042).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the two groups was comparable(6.58%vs 9.21%,χ2=0.361,P=0.547).CONCLUsION Hormone replacement therapy effectively improved the clinical symptoms,actively channeled negative emotions,and improved the quality of sleep in menopausal patients,indicating its effectiveness and safety.

AIM:To explore the relationship between retinal exudative changes in neonates and perinatal toxoplasmosis,others,rubella,cytomegalovirus,and herpes simplex virus(TORCH)infections,as well as the characteristics of TORCH infection in neonates with retinal exudative ***:Retrospective study.A total of 612 neonates with retinal exudative changes detected during ophthalmic screening in our hospital from May 2019 to March 2023 were *** tests were performed on these neonates,and the results were subjected to statistical analysis to determine the infection *** neonates with retinal exudative changes were grouped by sex and age,the characteristics of TORCH infection were analyzed,and the positive rates were ***:Among the 612 neonates with retinal exudative changes,the highest positive rate was observed for cytomegalovirus(CMV-IgG)(96.7%),followed by rubella virus(RV-IgG)(73.9%).Mixed infections with two or three viruses were also observed,with the highest positive rate for mixed infection of RV-IgG and CMV-IgG reaching 71.2%.There was no statistically significant difference in TORCH infection among neonates of different sex(P>0.05).However,there were statistically significant differences in RV-IgG and CMV-IgM infections with retinal exudative changes among neonates of different age groups(PsION:Perinatal TORCH infection may be an important factor causing retinal exudative changes in *** differences in various infections are not related to sex but are related to different age groups.

Background Respiratory syncytial virus(RsV)is the leading global cause of respiratory infections and is responsible for about 3 million hospitalizations and more than 100,000 deaths annually in children younger than 5 years,representing a major global healthcare *** is a great unmet need for new agents and universal strategies to prevent RsV infections in early life.A multidisciplinary consensus development group comprising experts in epidemiology,infectious diseases,respiratory medicine,and methodology aims to develop the current consensus to address clinical issues of RsV infections in *** sources The evidence searches and reviews were conducted using electronic databases,including PubMed,Embase,Web of science,and the Cochrane Library,using variations in terms for"respiratory syncytial virus","RsV","lower respiratory tract infection","bronchiolitis","acute","viral pneumonia","neonatal","infant""children",and"pediatric".Results Evidence-based recommendations regarding diagnosis,treatment,and prevention were proposed with a high degree of *** supportive care remains the cornerstone for the management of RsV infections,new monoclonal antibodies,vaccines,drug therapies,and viral surveillance techniques are being rolled *** This consensus,based on international and national scientific evidence,reinforces the current recommendations and integrates the recent advances for optimal care and prevention of RsV *** improvements in the management of RsV infections will require generating the highest quality of evidence through rigorously designed studies that possess little bias and sufficient capacity to identify clinically meaningful end points.
