Porta hepatis tuberculous lymphadenopathy(TL)is rare,and the clinical and imaging manifestations often mimic *** offer a bet-ter understanding of porta hepatis TL and thus improve its diagnosis and treatment,here,we retrospectively reviewed and analyzed 10 porta hepatis TL cases between May 2017 and November *** this study,porta hepatis TL occurred predominantly in women(70%),with a mean age of 43.1 years(range,16-70 years).Among the patients,60%were initially suspected of malignancy(metastatic lymphadenopathy and lymphoma).The clinical manifestations were nonspecific,such as fever and weight loss,without overt abdominal *** patients showed high concentrations of serum C-reactive protein,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,alkaline phosphatase,γ-glutamyl transpeptidase and carbohydrate antigen *** rim-like enhancement was a characteristic finding on contrast-enhanced CT for all the *** examination confirmed the diagnosis in 90%of patients with caseous granulo-matous inflammation and positive results of Xpert MTB/RIF,quantitative real-time PCR and/or metagenomic next-generation sequenc-ing *** patients underwent antituberculosis therapy with a median treatment duration of 13.5 months(range,1-43 months).They all showed satisfactory therapeutic responses with improved symptoms and resolution on imaging after *** examination by biopsy remains the primary diagnostic method.A combination of the characteristic epidemiologic,clinical,imaging fea-tures and lesion biopsy for histopathology are essential for the diagnosis and treatment of TL.

A Comparative Study of Myocardial Damage Caused by Novel Coronavirus Infection and Influenza A Virus Infection in Children during the COVID-19 Epidemic Period

Objective: To explore the comparative study of myocardial damage in children infected with COVID-19 and influenza A virus during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Retrospective analysis of myocardial injury caused by COVID-19 infection and influenza A virus infection in children during the COVID-19 from October 2022 to May 2023, including 106 cases of COVID-19 infection, that is, the COVID-19 group;And 164 cases of influenza A virus infection, namely, H1N1 group;Two groups were tested for various indicators of myocardial enzyme spectrum, and the situation of myocardial injury was compared between the two groups. Result: In the enrolled cases, there was no statistically significant difference in the prevalence rate of men and women in the COVID-19 group (P > 0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the average age between men and women (P > 0.05);The comparison of the incidence rates between males and females in the H1N1 group showed a statistically significant difference (P 0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the average age between the two groups of girls (P > 0.05). A comparison between two groups of various indicators of myocardial enzyme spectra showed that the results of AST, -HBDH and LDH were statistically significant (P 0.05). Conclusion: Both COVID-19 infection and influenza A virus infection in children have different degrees of myocardial damage, but COVID-19 infection causes more myocardial damage than influenza A virus infection, and influenza A virus is more prone to myocardial infarction, which deserves our attention.

Development of RPA-Cas12a-fluorescence assay for rapid and reliable detection of human bocavirus 1

Effects of β-Glucan Supplementation on Repairing of Phenol-Induced Vaginal Mucosal Epithelium Damage in Rats

Objective: To investigate the effects of different concentrations of β-glucan on the repair of damaged vaginal mucosa, the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and the inflammatory factor-6 (IL-6) in vaginal tissues. Methods: Thirty-six adult female specific pathogen free (SPF)-grade Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 phase groups with 12 rats each. Vaginal inflammation rat models were established by injecting phenol gel into the vagina of each rat at a dose of 0.1 ml/100g body weight. After modeling, rats were divided into 4 groups based on different concentrations of the test agent. The control group was injected with 0.5 ml of saline, experimental group A was injected with 0.375 ml saline 0.125 ml β-glucan, experimental group B was injected with 0.25 ml saline 0.25 ml β-glucan, and experimental group C was injected with 0.50 ml β-glucan. The injection sites were selected at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions of the vagina. Rats were sacrificed at 7-, 14-, and 28-days post-injection, and tissue samples were collected from the injection sites and prepared for histological analysis. New blood vessels and fibroblast numbers in the tissues were observed after Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The expression levels of VEGF and IL-6 in the tissues were measured using quantificational reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Results: Histological examination of vaginal tissue specimens at 7-, 14-, and 28-days post-injection showed that on day 7, there were no significant changes in the experimental groups compared to the control group. However, on days 14 and 28, the experimental groups showed more new blood vessels, macrophages, and fibroblasts with increased activity compared to the control group. The expression levels of VEGF in vaginal tissues were elevated on days 14 and 28 in the experimental groups. Optical time-stretch(OTS)imaging flow cytometry offers a promising solution for high-throughput and highprecision cell analysis due to its capabilities of high-speed,high-quality,and continuous *** sensing(CS)makes it practically applicable by significantly reducing the data volume while maintaining its highspeed and high-quality imaging *** enrich the information of the images acquired with CS-equipped OTS imaging flow cytometry,in this work we propose and experimentally demonstrate Fourier-domaincompressed OTS quantitative phase imaging flow *** is capable of acquiring intensity and quantitative phase images of cells simultaneously from the compressed *** evaluate the performance of our method,static microparticles and a corn root cross section are experimentally measured under various compression ***,to show how our method can be applied in practice,we utilize it in the drug response analysis of breast cancer *** results show that our method can acquire high-quality intensity and quantitative phase images of flowing cells at a flowing speed of 1 m/s and a compression ratio of 30%.Combined with machine-learning-based image analysis,it can distinguish drug-treated and drug-untreated cells with an accuracy of over 95%.We believe our method can facilitate cell analysis in both scientific research and clinical settings where both high-throughput and high-content cell analysis is required.
