Liquid phase in-situ synthesis of LiF coated boron powder composite and performance study

Among practical metal additives,boron(B) has a high volumetric heating value,making it a promising choice as a fuel *** B can theoretically yield a large amount of energy upon complete combustion,its combustion is retarded by the initial presence of B oxide,which coats the surfaces of B *** improve the ignition and combustion properties of B powder,LiOH and NH4F were used as precursors to synthesize uniformly LiF-coated B composites(LiF-B) in *** LiF-B mixture was also prepared for comparison using a physical method.X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR),scanning electron microscope(SEM),and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS) were used to characterize the morphologies and compositions of the *** thermal and combustion properties of the samples were characterized by thermal gravity-differential thermal gravity(TG-DTG),differential scanning calo rimetry(DSC) and closed bomb *** XRD,FTIR,SEM and EDS results demonstrated the successful preparation of the coated LiF-B *** TG-DTG and closed bomb experiment results indicated that the addition of LiF decreased the ignition temperature of B powder,and increasing its reaction *** results show that when LiF-B was added,the released heat of underwater explosive increased by 6727.2,7280.4 and 3109.6 J/g at heating rates of 5,10,and 15℃/min,***,LiF-B decreased the activation energy of secondary combustion reaction of explosive system as calculated through Kissinger’s method by 28.9%,which indicated an excellent catalytic effect for the thermal decomposition of underwater *** results reveal that LiF can improve the combustion efficiency of B powder,thereby increasing the total energy of *** mechanical sensitivity increased slightly after adding LiF-B to the underwater *** mpared to the underwater explosive with added B,the mechanical sensitivity of the explosive with added LiF-B was significantly

Solar-induced water oxidation reaction（WOR） for oxygen evolution is a critical step in the transformation of Earth's atmosphere from a reducing to an oxidation one during its primordial stages. WOR is also associated with important reduction reactions, such as oxygen reduction reaction（ORR）, which leads to the production of hydrogen peroxide（H2O2）. These transitions are instrumental in the emergence and evolution of life. In this study, transition metals were loaded onto nitrogen-doped carbon（NDC） prepared under the primitive Earth's atmospheric conditions. These metal-loaded NDC samples were found to catalyze both WOR and ORR under light illumination. The chemical pathways initiated by the pristine and metal-loaded NDC were investigated. This study provides valuable insights into potential mechanisms relevant to the early evolution of our planet.

A new technology for harnessing the dye polluted water and dye collection in a chemical factory

A new technology for harnessing the dye polluted water and dye collection was developed. It is based on the enhanced evaporation by using solar, wind and air temperature energy and additional heat-electric energy. It consists of four parts: (1) evaporation carrier system (evaporation carrier and frame for evaporation carrier) for polluted water; (2)polluted water circulating system (pumping-spraying-collecting); (3)heating system; (4)workshop with polluted water reservoir-tanks and rainfall prevention roof. The polluted water was (heated in case necessary) sprayed to the evaporation carrier system and the water was evaporated when it moved in the space and downward along the carrier mainly by using natural (solar, wind and air temperature energy). In case, when there is no roof for the carrier system, the polluted water can be stored in the reservoirs (storage volume for about 20 days). The first 10-25 mm rainfall also need to be stored in the reservoirs to meet the state standard or discharging wastewater. The dye may be collected at the surface in the reservoir-tanks and the crystallized salt may be collected at the bottom plate. The black-color wastewater released by the factory is no more discharged to the surface water system of Taihu Lake Basin. About 2 kg dye and 200 kg industrial salt may be collected from each tone of the polluted water. The non-pollution production of dye may be realized by using this technology with environmental, economical and social benefits.

Microstructure characteristics and corrosion behavior of metal inert gas welded dissimilar joints of 6005A modified by Sc and 5083 alloys

The corrosion behavior and microstructure characteristics of metal inert gas(MIG)welded dissimilar joints of the 6005A alloy modified with Sc(designated as 6005A+Sc)and the 5083 alloy were investigated using corrosion tests and microscopy *** show that the dissimilar joints exhibit strong stress corrosion cracking(SCC)resistance,maintaining substantial strength during slow strain rate tensile ***,the heat-affected zone(HAZ)and base metal(BM)on the 6005A+Sc side show superior performance in terms of inter-granular corrosion(IGC)and exfoliation corrosion(EXCO)compared to the corresponding zones on the 5083 *** lower corrosion resistance of the 5083-BM and the 5083-HAZ can be attributed to the presence of numerous Al_(2)Mg_(3)phases and micro-scaled Al_(6)(Mn,Fe)intermetallics,mainly distributed along the rolling ***,the enhanced corrosion resistance of the 6005A+Sc-BM and the 6005A+Sc-HAZ can be attributed to the discontinuously distributed grain boundary precipitates(β-Mg_(2)Si),the smaller grain size,and the reduced corrosive current density.

Synthesis of n-Butyl Acetate by Silica Loaded Cerous Sulfate Catalyst

Silica was used, as a catalyst carrier, to load cerous sulfate for catalyzing the synthesis of n-butyl acetate. The main purpose of this research was to explore the feasibility of silica in improving the decentrality and activity of the catalyst. The effects of molar ratio of butyl alcohol to acetic acid, the cerous sulfate loadings and the reaction time on the conversion of acetic acid were studied by single factor experiment method and orthogonal experiment method respectively. The refractive index (n20D) and molecular structure of the prepared n-butyl acetate were measured by Abbe Raefractometer and Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscope, respectively. The comparisons of the silica loaded and unloaded catalysts for catalyzing the synthesis of n-butyl acetate were made. The results showed that the suitable conditions for synthesizing n-butyl acetate were: molar ratio of butyl alcohol to acetic acid of 1.4∶1, use level of loaded cerous sulfate of 0.30 g and reaction time of 50 min, respectively. The maximum conversion of acetic acid for the silica loaded catalyst reached 98.62% which was 12.32% and 16.43% higher than those for the unloaded catalysts reported in literatures, but the use level of cerous sulfate for the former was much less than those for the latters under similar optimal technical conditions. The silica was proved to be a good catalyst carrier for enhancing decentrality and activity of the catalyst and increasing the conversion of acetic acid. The repentance of the silica loaded cerous sulfate was also investigated in the experiment.

Challenges and Requirements for the Application of Industry 4.0:A Special Insight with the Usage of Cyber-Physical System

Considered as a top priority of industrial devel- opment, Industry 4.0 （or Industrie 4.0 as the German ver- sion） has being highlighted as the pursuit of both academy and practice in companies. In this paper, based on the review of state of art and also the state of practice in dif- ferent countries, shortcomings have been revealed as the lacking of applicable framework for the implementation of Industrie 4.0. Therefore, in order to shed some light on the knowledge of the details, a reference architecture is developed, where four perspectives namely manufacturing process, devices, software and engineering have been highlighted. Moreover, with a view on the importance of Cyber-Physical systems, the structure of Cyber-Physical System are established for the in-depth analysis. Further cases with the usage of Cyber-Physical System are also arranged, which attempts to provide some implications to match the theoretical findings together with the experience of companies. In general, results of this paper could be useful for the extending on the theoretical understanding of Industrie 4.0. Additionally, applied framework and proto- types based on the usage of Cyber-Physical Systems are also potential to help companies to design the layout of sensor nets, to achieve coordination and controlling of smart machines, to realize synchronous production with systematic structure, and to extend the usage of information and communication technologies to the maintenance scheduling.

Determination of volatile components in cut tobacco with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and chemometric resolution

Chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)was used to analyze the volatile components of cut tobacco samples with the help of heuristic evolving latent projections(HELP).After extracting with simultaneous distillation and extraction method,the volatile components in cut tobacco were detected by *** the obtained original two-dimensional data were resolved into pure mass spectra and *** qualitative analysis was performed by similarity searches in the national institute of standards and technology(NIST)mass database with the obtained pure mass spectrum of each component and the quantitative results were obtained by calculating the volume of total two-way *** accuracy of qualitative and quantitative results were greatly improved by using the two-dimensional comprehensive information of chromatograms and mass spectra.107 of 141 separated constituents in the total ion chromatogram of the volatile components were identified and quantified,accounting for about 88.01% of the total *** result proves that the developed method is powerful for the analysis of complex cut tobacco samples.

Forming electrostatic nanocomplexes(ENCs) with counter-ions can improve the delivery efficiency of chemotherapy ***,water-soluble chemotherapy drugs like mitoxantrone(MTO),have limited affinity for counter-ions,posing challenges in the creation of stable ***,MTO was connected to fatty alcohols of varying chain lengths(C8,C12,C16) via disulfide bonds,forming hydrophobic *** found that conjugating MTO to fatty alcohols significantly improved its affinity for the counter-ion sodium cholesterol sulfate(SCS).Among the designed prodrugs,conjugated to fatty alcohols with longer carbon chain lengths exhibited heightened affinity for SCS,resulting in the formation of more stable ***,extending the carbon chain also slowed the rate of drug ***,compared with MTO solution,these ENCs demonstrated comparable therapeutic efficacy while causing minimal damage to healthy tissues,especially for MTO-SS-C16 *** research provides new insights for constructing stable and safe ENCs for hydrophilic drugs like MTO.
