Flexible electronics are transforming our lives by making daily activities more *** to this innovation are field-effect transistors(FETs),valued for their efficient signal processing,nanoscale fabrication,low-power consumption,fast response times,and ***,known for its exceptional mechanical properties,high electron mobility,and biocompatibility,is an ideal material for FET channels and *** combination of graphene and FETs has given rise to flexible graphene field-effect transistors(FGFETs),driving significant advances in flexible electronics and sparked a strong interest in flexible biomedical ***,we first provide a brief overview of the basic structure,operating mechanism,and evaluation parameters of FGFETs,and delve into their material selection and patterning *** ability of FGFETs to sense strains and biomolecular charges opens up diverse application *** specifically analyze the latest strategies for integrating FGFETs into wearable and implantable flexible biomedical sensors,focusing on the key aspects of constructing high-quality flexible biomedical ***,we discuss the current challenges and prospects of FGFETs and their applications in biomedical *** review will provide valuable insights and inspiration for ongoing research to improve the quality of FGFETs and broaden their application prospects in flexible biomedical sensing.

The autophagy-lysosome pathway:a potential target in the chemical and gene therapeutic strategies for Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson’s disease is a common neurodegenerative disease with movement disorders associated with the intracytoplasmic deposition of aggregate proteins such asα-synuclein in *** one of the major intracellular degradation pathways,the autophagy-lysosome pathway plays an important role in eliminating these *** evidence has shown that upregulation of the autophagy-lysosome pathway may contribute to the clearance ofα-synuclein aggregates and protect against degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in Parkinson’s ***,multiple genes associated with the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease are intimately linked to alterations in the autophagy-lysosome ***,this pathway appears to be a promising therapeutic target for treatment of Parkinson’s *** this review,we briefly introduce the machinery of ***,we provide a description of the effects of Parkinson’s disease–related genes on the autophagy-lysosome ***,we highlight the potential chemical and genetic therapeutic strategies targeting the autophagy–lysosome pathway and their applications in Parkinson’s disease.

The title compound 2-（2-methoxy-4-nitrophenylcarbamoyl）phenyl-4＇-fluorobenzoate （C21H15FN206, Mr = 410.35）, a fluorine-containing derivative of salicylamide, was conve- niently synthesized through two steps and crystallized in the orthorhombic space group P21/c with a = 7.6453（15）, b = 14.323（3）, c = 17.035（3） A, V= 1865.4（6） A3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.461 Mg/m^3, 2 = 0.71073 A, μ（MoKa） = 0.115 mm-1, F（000） = 848, R = 0.0705 and wR = 0.1834 for 3267 independent refections with 1 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray analysis reveals that the dihedral angles formed between the 2-methoxy-4-nitrobenzene and benzene ring, the benzene and 4-fluorobenzene, and the 2-methoxy-4-nitrobenzene and 4-fluorobenzene ring are 3.2（4）, 69.8（3） and 72.9（2）~, respectively. Bioassay shows that the title compound has anti-parasitic activity against hydatid protoscoleces.

Robust interface and excellent as-built mechanical properties of Ti–6Al–4V fabricated through laser-aided additive manufacturing with powder and wire

The feasibility of manufacturing Ti-6Al-4V samples through a combination of laser-aided additive manufacturing with powder(LAAM_(p))and wire(LAAM_(w))was explored.A process study was first conducted to successfully circumvent defects in Ti-6Al-4V deposits for LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w),*** the optimized process parameters,robust interfaces were achieved between powder/wire deposits and the forged substrate,as well as between powder and wire *** characterization results revealed the epitaxial prior β grains in the deposited Ti-6Al-4V,wherein the powder deposit was dominated by a finerα′microstructure and the wire deposit was characterized by lamellar α *** mechanisms of microstructure formation and correlation with mechanical behavior were analyzed and *** mechanical properties of the interfacial samples can meet the requirements of the relevant Aerospace Material Specifications(AMS 6932)even without post heat *** fracture occurred within the interfacial area,further suggesting the robust *** findings of this study highlighted the feasibility of combining LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w) in the direct manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V parts in accordance with the required dimensional resolution and deposition rate,together with sound strength and ductility balance in the as-built condition.

OBSERVATIONS ON EXPERIMENTAL INFECTION OF PERIODIC BRUGIA MALAYI IN MAN

Three volunteers were inoculated with different numbers of infective larvae of periodic Brugia malayi from an artifcially infected Meriones unguiculatus. At different times after inoculation, the volunteers developed clinical manifestations such as chills, fever, cough, asthma, skin itching, edema, adenolymphangitis and eosinophilia. Microfilariemia was first detected at 41 and 46 weeks after inoculation in two subjects. At 11 weeks, the percentage of E-rosett forming lymphocytes in these subjects was below the normal level. Specific antibody was first detected in three volunteers at 2, 3 and 5 weeks after inoculation, respectively, and increased to various extent at 12-16 weeks, but decreased in varying degrees at 44-56 weeks. The results also showed that antibody titres fluctuated at different periods of infection.

The title compound 4-chloro-2-（morpholine-4-carbonyl）phenyl-4＇-methoxybenzoate（C19H18ClNO5, Mr = 375.79）, a 5-chlorosalicylic acid derivative incorporating morpholine moiety, was conveniently synthesized through two steps and crystallized in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 7.8501（10）, b = 9.3149（12）, c = 25.133（3）, V = 1836.2（4）3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.359 Mg/m^3, λ = 0.71073, μ（MoKα） = 0.237 mm^-1, F（000） = 784, R = 0.0447 and wR = 0.1227 for 3982 independent reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. The dihedral angles formed between 4-methoxybenzene and 5-chlorobenzene rings, the 5-chlorobenzene and morpholine, and 4-methoxybenzene and morpholine rings are 82.55（3）, 72.56（5） and 47.68（0）° by X-ray analysis, respectively. Bioassay shows that the title compound has a good molluscidal effect.

ASSESSMENT OF INTRADERMAL TEST IN LONGITUDINAL SURVEILLANCE OF BANCROFTIAN FILARIASIS

Longitudinal surveillance was carried out consecutively during 1982-1987 in two pilot villages where bancroftian filariasis was prevalent in different severity before 1982. Intradermal test (IT) with filaria polypeptide (FPT) antigen prepared from Dirofilaria immitis was made. It was shown that the level of immediate hypersensitivity reaction to the antigen in population as shown by IT appeared to be directly proportional to both the prevalence of the disease and the infection rate of mosquitoes habouring larval filariae before mass and selective treatment with diethylcarbamazine. Time for negative conversion of IT after chemotherapy was significantly longer in previous microfilaraemic patients than that in amicrofilaraemic cases. The selected three criteria of IT used in filariasis surveillance, namely, the positive rate, frequency of strong reaction and positive conversion rate, were diminished gradually after chemotherapy year by year, so that the three criteria were demonstrated to be useful for longitudinal surveillance of lymphatic filariasis.

Historical experience in the elimination of visceral leishmaniasis in the plain region of Eastern and Central China

Visceral leishmaniasis(VL)(kala-azar)was most seriously prevalent in the plain regions of eight provinces/municipalities in the eastern and central parts of *** the early 1950s,the number of counties/cities endemic for VL and the number of cases in the plain regions accounted for 60%and 80%,respectively,of the total numbers in the entire *** implementing comprehensive control measures,including treatment of patients for eliminating the source of infection and spraying insecticide in endemic villages to kill sandflies,VL transmission has been brought under control in this region by the early 1960s,and no new infected cases have been found since 1983,achieving the goal of eliminating VL.
