Future 6G networks will integrate non-terrestrial communication with mobile edge computing to enable wide-area edge intelligence, providing ubiquitous communication and computation services for everyone and everything. In this paper, we introduce the intelligent cloud-edge-device architecture into low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-supported remote Internet of Things(IoT) networks to facilitate latency-sensitive and compute-intensive IoT applications. However, the dynamic spatio-temporal characteristics inherent in LEO satellite networks, such as the high volatility of task traffic and the high mobility of space nodes, pose severe challenges. For efficient task execution, we investigate the joint optimization of cross-region task offloading and cross-domain resource allocation, and innovatively propose a spatio-temporal attention-based proximal policy optimization(STA-PPO) algorithm. Specifically, the temporal attention-based actor network analyzes the timing dependencies of task arrival and makes time-variant decisions. Simultaneously, the spatial attention-based critic network captures the spatial variations of satellite motion and evaluates the topology-related value. We verify the effectiveness of the cloud-edge-device collaboration through extensive simulations. Numerical results demonstrate that the STA-PPO algorithm outperforms benchmarks, showing the lowest system delay and the highest link throughput.

An increasing number of websites are making use of HTTPS encryption to enhance security and privacy for their ***,HTTPS encryption makes it very difficult to identify the service over HTTPS flows,which poses challenges to network security *** this paper we present DTA-HOC,a novel DNS-based two-level association HTTPS traffic online service identification method for large-scale networks,which correlates HTTPS flows with DNS flows using big data stream processing and association technologies to label the service in an HTTPS flow with a specific associated domain ***-HOC has been specifically designed to address three practical challenges in the service identification process:domain name ambiguity,domain name query invisibility,and data association time window size *** experiments on datasets collected from a 10-Gbps campus network are conducted alongside offline and online *** show that DTA-HOC can achieve an average online association rate on HTTPS traffic of 83%and a generic accuracy of 86.16%.Its processing time for one minute of data is less than 20 *** results indicate that DTA-HOC is an efficient method for online identification of services in HTTPS flows for large-scale ***,our proposed method can contribute to the identification of other applications which make a Domain Name System(DNS)communication before establishing a connection.

Meta-analysis of probiotics for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome （IBS） is a chronic condition affecting 3%-25% of the general population. As no curative treatment is available, therapy is aimed at reducing symptoms, often with little success. Because alteration of the normal intestinal microflora has been observed in IBS, probiotics （beneficial microbes taken to improve health） may be useful in reducing symptoms. This paper systematically reviews randomized, controlled, blinded bials of probiotics for the treatment of IBS and synthesizes data on efficacy across trials of adequate quality. Pubr4ed, Medline, Google Scholar, NIH registry of clinical trials, metaRegister, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched from 1982-2007. We also conducted secondary searches of reference lists, reviews, commentaries, relevant articles on associated diseases, books and meeting abstracts. Twenty trials with 23 probiotic treatment arms and a total of 1404 subjects met inclusion criteria. Probiotic use was associated with improvement in global IBS symptoms compared to placebo [pooled relative risk （RRpooled） 0.77, 95% confidence interval （95% CI） 0.62-0.94]. Probiotics were also associated with less abdominal pain compared to placebo [RRpooled = 0.78 （0.69-0.88）]. Too few studies reported data on other IBS symptoms or on specific probiotic strains to allow estimation of a pooled RR. While our analyses suggest that probiotic use may be associated with improvement in IBS symptoms compared to placebo, these results should be interpreted with caution, given the methodological limitations of contributing studies. Probiotics warrant further study as a potential therapy for IBS.

The global disease burden of diabetes mellitus is high. It is well-established that prediabetes is reversible but it is unclear whether diabetes is reversible once it has been diagnosed. The objective of this narrative review is to review the evidence of reversibility of diabetes me-llitus and stimulate interest in prolonged remission as a treatment target. The current evidence for bariatric surgery is stronger than intensive medical management and the evidence is stronger for type 2 diabetes pa-tients compared with type 1 diabetes patients. It is also unclear whether non obese diabetes patients would benefit from such interventions and the duration of diabetes before diabetes become irreversible. Further research is needed in this area especially with regards to the subgroup of diabetes patient who will benefit from these interventions and the long term safety and efficacy remains unknown especially with intensive me-dical management.

A New Revocable and Re-Delegable Proxy Signature and Its Application

With the popularity of cloud computing and mobile Apps, on-demand services such as on-line music or audio streaming and vehicle booking are widely available nowadays. In order to allow efficient delivery and management of the services, for large-scale on-demand systems, there is usually a hierarchy where the service provider can delegate its service to a top-tier （e.g., countrywide） proxy who can then further delegate the service to lower level （e.g., region-wide） proxies. Secure （re-）delegation and revocation are among the most crucial factors for such systems. In this paper, we investigate the practical solutions for achieving re-delegation and revocation utilizing proxy signature. Although proxy signature has been extensively studied in the literature, no previous solution can achieve both properties. To fill the gap, we introduce the notion of revocable and re-delegable proxy signature that supports efficient revocation and allows a proxy signer to re-delegate its signing right to other proxy signers without the interaction with the original signer. We define the formal security models for this new primitive and present an efficient scheme that can achieve all the security properties. We also present a secure on-line revocable and re-delegate vehicle ordering system （RRVOS） as one of the applications of our proposed scheme.

The Global Positioning System(GPS)has become a foundation for most location-based services and navigation systems,such as autonomous vehicles,drones,ships,and wearable ***,it is a challenge to verify if the reported geographic locations are valid due to various GPS spoofing *** tools,such as Fake GPS,Lockito,and software-defined radio,enable ordinary users to hijack and report fake GPS coordinates and cheat the monitoring server without being ***,it is also a challenge to get accurate sensor readings on mobile devices because of the high noise level introduced by commercial motion *** this end,we propose DeepPOSE,a deep learning model,to address the noise introduced in sensor readings and detect GPS spoofing attacks on mobile *** design uses a convolutional and recurrent neural network to reduce the noise,to recover a vehicle's real-time trajectory from multiple sensor *** further propose a novel scheme to map the constructed trajectory from sensor readings onto the Google map,to smartly eliminate the accumulation of errors on the trajectory *** reconstructed trajectory from sensors is then used to detect the GPS spoofing *** with the existing method,the proposed approach demonstrates a significantly higher degree of accuracy for detecting GPS spoofing attacks.

BACKGROUND Surgery remains the primary treatment for localized colorectal cancer(CRC).Improving surgical decision-making for elderly CRC patients necessitates an accurate predictive *** To build a nomogram to predict the overall survival of elderly patients over 80 years undergoing CRC *** Two hundred and ninety-five elderly CRC patients over 80 years undergoing surgery at Singapore General Hospital between 2018 and 2021 were identified from the American College of Surgeons–National Surgical Quality Improvement Program(ACS-NSQIP)*** variables were selected using univariate Cox regression,and clinical feature selection was performed by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression.A nomogram for 1-and 3-year overall survival was constructed based on 60%of the study cohort and tested on the remaining 40%.The performance of the nomogram was evaluated using the concordance index(C-index),area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),and calibration *** groups were stratified using the total risk points derived from the nomogram and the optimal cut-off *** curves were compared between the high-and low-risk *** Eight predictors:Age,Charlson comorbidity index,body mass index,serum albumin level,distant metastasis,emergency surgery,postoperative pneumonia,and postoperative myocardial infarction,were included in the *** AUC values for the 1-year survival were 0.843 and 0.826 for the training and validation cohorts,*** AUC values for the 3-year survival were 0.788 and 0.750 for the training and validation cohorts,respectively.C-index values of the training cohort(0.845)and validation cohort(0.793)suggested the excellent discriminative ability of the *** curves demonstrated a good consistency between the predictions and actual observations of overall survival in both training and validation cohorts.A significant difference in overall survival wa
