As one of the carriers for human communication and interaction, images are prone to contamination by noise during transmission and reception, which is often uncontrollable and unknown. Therefore, how to denoise images contaminated by unknown noise has gradually become one of the research focuses. In order to achieve blind denoising and separation to restore images, this paper proposes a method for image processing based on Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) by integrating multiple filtering methods for denoising. This method includes Wavelet Filtering, Gaussian Filtering, Median Filtering, Mean Filtering, Bilateral Filtering, Adaptive Bandpass Filtering, Non-local Means Filtering and Regularization Denoising suitable for different types of noise. We can apply this method to denoise images contaminated by blind noise sources and evaluate the denoising effects using RMSE. The smaller the RMSE, the better the denoising effect. The optimal denoising result is selected through comprehensively comparing the RMSE values of all methods. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively denoises and restores images contaminated by blind noise sources.

Purpose:Under-foot impact loadings can cause serious lower limb injuries in many activities,such asautomobile collisions and underbody explosions to military *** present study aims to comparethe biomechanical responses of the mainstream vehicle occupant dummies with the human body lowerlimb model and analyze their robustness and applicability for assessing lower limb injury risk in underfoot impact loading ***:The Hybrid III model,the test device for human occupant restraint(THOR)model,and a hybridhuman body model with the human active lower limb model were adopted for under-foot impactanalysis regarding different impact velocities and initial lower limb ***:The results show that the 2 dummy models have larger peak tibial axial force and highersensitivity to the impact velocities and initial postures than the human lower limb *** particular,the Hybrid III dummy model presented extremely larger peak tibial axial forces than the human lowerlimb *** the case of minimal difference in tibial axial force,Hybrid III's tibial axial force(7.5 KN)isstill 312.5%that of human active lower limb's(2.4 KN).Even with closer peak tibial axial force values,thebiomechanical response curve shapes of the THOR model show significant differences from the humanlower limb ***:Based on the present results,the Hybrid III dummy cannot be used to evaluate the lowerlimb injury risk in under-foot loading *** contrast,potential improvement in ankle biofidelity and related soft tissues of the THOR dummy can be implemented in the future for betterapplicability.

Although CRISPR/Cas9 has been widely used in insect gene editing,the need for the microinjection of preblastoderm embryos can preclude the technique being used in insect species with eggs that are small,have hard shells,and/or are difficult to collect and maintain outside of their normal *** is the case with Sogatella furcifera,the white-backed planthopper(WBPH),a significant pest of Oryza sativa(rice)that oviposits inside rice *** extraction from the stem runs the risk of mechanical damage and hatching is heavily influenced by the micro-environment of the rice *** bypass these issues,we targeted embryos prior to oviposition via direct parental(DIPA)-CRISPR,in which Cas9 and single-guide RNAs(sgRNAs)for the WBPH eye pigment gene tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase were injected into the hemocoel of adult *** at varying numbers of days posteclosion were evaluated to determine at what stage their oocyte might be most capable of taking up the gene-editing *** evaluation of the offspring indicated that the highest G0 gene-edited efficacy(56.7%)occurred in females injected 2 d posteclosion,and that those mutations were heritably transmitted to the G1 *** study demonstrates the potential utility of DIPA-CRISPR for future gene-editing studies in non-model insect species and can facilitate the development of novel pest management applications.

Post-traumatic peritendinous adhesion presents a significant challenge in clinical *** study proposes the use of diamond-like carbon(DLC)deposited on polylactic acid(PLA)membranes as a biophysical mechanism for anti-adhesion barrier to encase ruptured tendons in tendon-injured *** results indicate that PLA/DLC composite membrane exhibits more efficient anti-adhesion effect than PLA membrane,with histological score decreasing from 3.12±0.27 to 2.20±0.22 and anti-adhesion effectiveness increasing from 21.61%to 44.72%.Mechanistically,the abundant C=O bond functional groups on the surface of DLC can reduce reactive oxygen species level effectively;thus,the phosphorylation of NF-κB and M1 polarization of macrophages are ***,excessive inflammatory response augmented by M1 macrophage-originated cytokines including interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)is largely *** biocompatibility evaluation,PLA/DLC membrane is slowly absorbed within tissue and displays prolonged barrier effects compared to traditional PLA *** studies show the DLC depositing decelerates the release of degradation product lactic acid and its induction of macrophage M2 polarization by interfering esterase and PLA ester bonds,which further delays the fibrosis *** was found that the PLA/DLC membrane possess an efficient biophysical mechanism for treatment of peritendinous adhesion.

To obtain better comprehensive properties of cast Al-Cu-Mg alloys,the secondary aging(T6I6)process(including initial aging,interrupted aging and re-aging stages)was optimized by an orthogonal *** microstructures of the optimized Al-Cu-Mg alloy were observed by means of scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy,and the properties were investigated by hardness measurements,tensile tests,exfoliation corrosion tests,and intergranular corrosion *** show that the S phase andθ’phase simultaneously exist in the T6I6 treated *** increasing the temperature of the interrupted aging in the T6I6 process can improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Al-Cu-Mg *** optimal comprehensive properties(tensile strength of 443.6 MPa,hardness of 161.6 HV)of the alloy are obtained by initial aging at 180℃for 2 h,interrupted aging at 90℃for 30 min,and re-aging at 170℃for 4 h.

In buildings,the heating ventilation and air conditioning system(HVAC)creates a comfortable environment for indoor occupants by setting a temperature ***,this approach leads to unreasonable indoor environmental comfort and wasted energy because it does not dynamically adjust to changes in environmental and has a long response *** this study,a high-precision human comfort prediction method for indoor personnel based on time-series analysis is proposed as the control strategy for HVAC *** method includes the data pre-processing module,the class imbalance processing module,and the human comfort network model *** propose the Human-Comfort Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory(HC-BiLSTM)network to achieve a better human comfort prediction,and the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique for Time-series(SMOTE-TS)algorithm to solve the class imbalance problem in human comfort dataset.A public dataset collected in Pennsylvania,USA,was selected for this study to validate the performance of the proposed *** experimental results show that the human comfort prediction method proposed in this study achieves 0.9482 and 0.9659 on Macro-averaging and Micro-averaging,respectively,which is the highest accuracy in the known related research.

Measuring the amount of vegetation in a given area on a large scale has long been accomplished using satellite and aerial imaging *** methods have been very reliable in measuring vegetation coverage accurately at the top of the canopy,but their capabilities are limited when it comes to identifying green vegetation located beneath the canopy *** the amount of urban and suburban vegetation along a street network that is partially beneath the canopy has recently been introduced with the use of Google Street View(GSV)images,made accessible by the Google Street View Image *** green vegetation through the use of GSV images can provide a comprehensive representation of the amount of green vegetation found within geographical regions of higher population density,and it facilitates an analysis performed at the *** this paper we propose a fine-tuned color based image filtering and segmentation technique and we use it to define and map an urban green environment *** deployed this image processing method and,using GSV images as a high-resolution GIS data source,we computed and mapped the green index of Milwaukee County,a 3,082 km^(2) urban/suburban county in *** approach generates a high-resolution street-level vegetation estimate that may prove valuable in urban planning and management,as well as for researchers investigating the correlation between environmental factors and human health outcomes.
