Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in MATHEMATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Tobacco control challenges in China: Big data analysis of online tobacco marketing information

Hierarchical Layout Deduction for Furniture Model Retrieval

3D CAD model retrieval plays a fundamental role in producing impressive and innovative designs easier and faster. However, after decades of efforts, effective retrieval approach for furniture models is still rare. A novel retrieval approach for furniture models, based on a hierarchical layout deduction, is proposed according to the common structure characteristics of furniture. In order to discriminate furniture models effectively both on topological, geometrical and semantic layers, special components for furniture model are defined and a multiresolution furniture model descriptor, attributed hierarchy layout graph,is adopted. To promote the retrieval efficiency, a filtering process, based on random walks method, is applied. Based on hierarchy graph matching, the similarity between two furniture models, is determined. A prototype system is implemented to verify the proposed approach effectiveness.

If poetics refers broadly to the principles by which things are made, how is the kind of process that yields poetry （in the narrow sense） related to other kinds of making？ This essay explores promising resonances between traditional poetics and new paradigms coming out of complexity and systems theory. Of particular interest is Terrence Deacon＇s Incomplete Nature, an account of the relationships among layers of emergent order in the universe, under the heading of a general theory of dynamics. In particular, this essay understands poetry in relation to other kinds of making through three principles Deacon identifies as crucial： constraint, emergence, and absence. These principles tend to validate rather than to undermine traditional accounts of poetic making as inspiration, often involving entification in the form of attribution of creative agency to entities such as muses or to the text itself.

A Novel Single-Feature and Synergetic-Features Selection Method by Using ISE-Based KDE and Random Permutation

The Integrated square error(ISE), as a robust criterion for measuring the difference of densities between two datasets, have been commonly used in pattern recognition. In this paper, two different criteria for evaluating candidate feature subsets are investigated: first, a novel supervised feature selection criterion based on ISE and random permutation of a single feature is proposed,which presents a feature ranking criterion to measure the importance of each feature by computing the ISE over the feature space. Second, a synergetic feature selection criterion is developed. Experimental results on synthetic and real data set show the superior or at least comparable performance compared with existing feature selection algorithms.

Reconstructing and editing fluids using the adaptive multilayer external force guiding model

Reconstructing monocular fluids usually involves a tedious trial-and-error process, and editing desired fluid behaviors is notoriously difficult to predict and control. To address these problems, we propose an adaptive multilayer external force guiding model that alleviates the challenging parameter tuning and satisfies user-defined requirements. External forces cause the effect of target particles on fluid *** adaptive multilayer scheme makes the whole 3D fluid volume subject to the shape and motion of the water captured by the input video or designed by users. Therefore, we can avoid the tedious and laborious parameter tuning and easily balance the smoothness of fluid volume and the details of the water ***, to vividly reproduce the inflow and outflow of the video scene, we construct a generation and extinction model to add or delete fluid particles according to the three-dimensional velocity field of target particles calculated using a hybrid model coupling shape-from-shading with optical flow. Besides, we edit fluids by subtly extracting features selected by users using the off-screen rendering method and seamlessly integrating them using the dynamic weight approach. Experiments show that our approach is comparable to the state-of-the-art reconstruction quality and is remarkably convenient in authoring flows by editing ***, our results can be effectively applied to any desired new scenario.

A Fine-Grained Flash-Memory Fragment Recognition Approach for Low-Level Data Recovery

Data recovery from flash memory in the mobile device can effectively reduce the loss caused by data corruption. Type recognition of data fragment is an essential prerequisite to the low-level data recovery. Previous works in this field classify data fragment based on its file type. Still, the classification efficiency is low, especially when the data fragment is a part of a composite *** propose a fine-grained approach to classifying data fragment from the low-level flash memory to improve the classification accuracy and efficiency. The proposed method redefines flash-memory-page data recognition problem based on the encoding format of the data segment, and applies a hybrid machine learning algorithm to detect the data type of the flash page. The hybrid algorithm can significantly decompose the given data space and reduce the cost of training. The experimental results show that our method achieves better classification accuracy and higher time performance than the existing methods.

Energy Absorption Diagrams of Multi-layer Corrugated Boards

Based on the static compression experiments, the compressive stress-strain curve of multi-layer corrugated boards is simplified into three sections of linear elasticity, sub-buckling going with local collapse and densification. By considering the structure factors of multi-layer corrugated boards, the energy absorption model is obtained and characterized by the structure factors of corrugated cell-wall. The model is standardized by the solid modulus and it is universal for corrugated structures of different basis material. In the liner-elastic section, with the increase of the load, the energy absorption per unit volume of multi-layer corrugated boards gradually increases; in the sub-buckling section going with local collapse, the compression resistance of multi-layer corrugated boards goes on under a nearly constant load, but the energy absorption per unit volume rapidly increases with the increase of the compression strain. It is shown as an ascending curve in the energy absorption diagram. In the densification section, the corrugated sandwich core has no energy absorption capability. A good consistency is achieved between theoretical and experimental energy absorption curves. In designing the cushioning package, the cushioning properties can be evaluated by the theoretical model without more experiments. The suggested method to develop the energy absorption diagram for corrugated boards can be used to characterize the cushioning properties and optimize the structures of corrugated sandwich structures.

Rotated hyperbola model for smooth support vector machine for classification

This article puts forward a novel smooth rotated hyperbola model for support vector machine( RHSSVM) for classification. As is well known,the support vector machine( SVM) is based on statistical learning theory( SLT)and performs its high precision on data classification. However,the objective function is non-differentiable at the zero point. Therefore the fast algorithms cannot be used to train and test the SVM. To deal with it,the proposed method is based on the approximation property of the hyperbola to its asymptotic lines. Firstly,we describe the development of RHSSVM from the basic linear SVM optimization programming. Then we extend the linear model to non-linear model. We prove the solution of RHSSVM is convergent,unique,and global optimal. We show how RHSSVM can be practically implemented. At last,the theoretical analysis illustrates that compared with other three typical models,the rotated hyperbola model has the least error on approximating the plus function. Meanwhile,computer simulations show that the RHSSVM can reduce the consuming time at most 54. 6% and can efficiently handle large scale and high dimensional programming.
