Solving the Task Starvation and Resources Problem Using Optimized SMPIA in Cloud

In this study,a new feature is added to the smart message passing interface(SMPI)approach(SMPIA)based on the prioritization method,which cancompletely eliminate the task starvation and lack of sufficient resources problemsthrough prioritizing the *** proposed approach is based on prioritizing thetasks and the urgency of *** are prioritized based on executiontime,workload,the task with a more sensitive priority is executed earlier by thefree *** idea of demand-bound functions(DBFs)was extended to theSMPIA setting based on partitions and *** each task,two DBFs are constructed,DBFLO and DBFHI,for the LO and HI criticality modes,*** simulation results returned by MATLAB showed that with the optimizedSMPIA(O-SMPIA),the parameters of maximum service execution time,response time,delay time,and throughput improved in this *** addition,the results confirmed that the reduction of execution time,completion time,andresource consumption time did not affect the response time and throughput ofworkflow tasks and did not cause inefficient use of resources in virtual machines(VMs)and data centers(DCs).The evaluation of performance metrics showedthat the delay,response time of the Greedy algorithm was less than that ofMax-Min and *** the same time,the execution time of Max-Min wasless than the others and the throughput of the Greedy was *** effectand throughput of O-SMPIA became more obvious as change to the job countand the number of cloud workloads *** is also worth mentioning thatone of the main advantages of the O-SMPIA to other methods is the efficientuse of time to execute all the defined tasks by CPU.

Temporal trends of hydro-climatic variables and their relevance in water resource management

Identification of temporal changes in hydrological regimes of river basins is an important topic in contemporary hydrology because of the potential impacts of climate change on river flow *** this purpose,long-term historical records of rainfall(P),runoff(Q) and other climatic factors were used to investigate hydrological variability and trends in the Tajan River Basin over the period *** evaporation(E),rainfall variability index(d),evaporation ratio(CE) and runoff ratio(CQ) were estimated from the available hydroclimatological ***-Kendall trend analysis and nonparametric Sen’s slope estimates were performed on the respective time series variables to detect monotonic trend direction and magnitude of change over *** variability index showed that1973 was the wettest year(δ=+2.039) while 1985 was the driest(δ=-1.584).Also,decades 69-78 and89-98 were recognized as the wettest and driest decades *** gradient of variation of climatological parameters showed that during the study period,all three parameters of rainfall,evaporation and runoff have decreased and the variations of rainfall and evaporation were significant at the95% *** of hydrological changes due of dam construction(1999) showed that the amount and annual distribution of discharge were completely different pre and post-dam *** decreased in high water months and increased in low water months to meet water supply demands,especially for *** relationship between temperature and rainfall trends is compared for three stations in Mazandaran Province(Gorgan,Babolsar and Ramsar) from 1956 to 2003 and nine other stations with different statistical periods of 19-36 years,relating trends to northern hemisphere and global *** in temperature were accompanied by decreases in rainfall,and vice *** trends were not observed in northern hemisphere and world scales,where temperature increases are accompanied b

Iterative Algorithm with Mixed Errors for Solving a New System of Generalized Nonlinear Variational-Like Inclusions and Fixed Point Problems in Banach Spaces

A new system of generalized nonlinear variational-like inclusions involving A- maximal m-relaxed η-accretive （so-called, （A, η）-accretive in [36]） mappings in q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces is introduced, and then, by using the resolvent operator technique associated with A-maximal m-relaxed ~/-accretive mappings due to Lan et al., the exis- tence and uniqueness of a solution to the aforementioned system is established. Applying two nearly uniformly Lipschitzian mappings 81 and 82 and using the resolvent operator technique associated with A-maximal m-relaxed ~？-accretive mappings, we shall construct a new perturbed N-step iterative algorithm with mixed errors for finding an element of the set of the fixed points of the nearly uniformly Lipschitzian mapping Q = （S1, S2） which is the unique solution of the aforesaid system. We also prove the convergence and stability of the iterative sequence generated by the suggested perturbed iterative algorithm under some suitable conditions, The results presented in this paper extend and improve some known results in the literature.

Investigation of salinity impacts on germination and growth of two forest tree species at seedling stage

Soil salinity is becoming an increasingly serious constraint to plant growth in many parts of the world; this is particularly common in semi-arid and arid zones. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of salt on seed germination and seedling growth of Acacia albida and A. salicina. Collected seeds were treated with H2SO4 98% for 35 min then left to germinate in a controlled growth chamber. Seeds were grown at salinity levels of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mol.L1 of NaH2PO4.H20. Germination parameters and seedling growth indices were measured after 35 days. The mean of total length ofA. salicina in all salinity concentrations was more than that of ：4. albida. The fresh weight of stem and root of ：4, albida was more than that of ：4. salicina. Growth of control seedlings was higher than for other treatments and the fresh weight of stems of two species at salt concentrations of 0.2 and 0,3 *** decreased with increasing concentration of salt. Most Control seeds germinated at salinity of 0.1 *** and germination index, final germination and seeds stamina was greater at low levels of salinity.

Long-term charcoal-induced changes to soil properties in temperate regions of northern Iran

The long-term performance and benefits of charcoal application on the carbon sequestration and properties of forest soils in temperate or non-tropical regions has not been studied in detail in spite of its important role in global warming. This study was conducted to describe the long-term charcoal-induced changes in organic carbon (OC) content and other soil properties of temperate deciduous forests in Mazandaran province, northern Iran. Three sites were sampled to collect composite soil samples from two depths (0–20 and 20–40 cm) inside and outside of a plot of charcoal-enriched soils surrounding a historical charcoal production site (abandoned for more than 120 years). The presence of charcoal in soils for about 120 years elevated significantly the black carbon, total OC, natural soil OC, total nitrogen, dissolved organic matter, soil OC density, exchangeable bases, saturated hydraulic conductivity, available water capacity and available Fe, Mn and Zn compared to the adjacent reference soils. Cation exchange capacity (CEC) and pH were 15.5 cmolc kg^-1 and 0.5 units, respectively, higher than the adjacent reference soils at 0–20 cm soil depth. However, electrical conductivity (EC), bulk density and available Cu were higher in the adjacent reference soil. The aged charcoal had no significant effect on the microbial respiration rate of studied soils. The results of this study provide new insights and strong support for the long-term benefits of biochar application as a management strategy for improving soil productivity as well as sequestering large quantities of durable carbon in soils of the region and mitigating global warming.

Objective To evaluate the protective effect of Zataria multiflora extract,an antioxidative medicinal plant,against cyclophosphamide(CP)-induced oxidative lung damage in *** Mice were intraperitoneally pre-treated with various doses of Zataria multiflora extract(50,100,200,and 400 mg/kg)once daily for 7 consecutive *** were then injected with a single 200 mg/kg intraperitoneal dose of CP 1 h after the last administration of ***-four hours later,mice were euthanized,the lungs were immediately removed,and biochemical and histological studies were *** A single dose of CP markedly altered the levels of several biomarkers associated with oxidative stress in lung *** with Zataria multiflora significantly inhibited the elevation of lipid peroxidation level and the depletion in glutathione content,and superoxide dismutase and catalase activities induced by CP in *** addition,Zataria multiflora effectively alleviated CP-induced histopathological abnormality and pulmonary damages in mice lung *** The results reveal that Zataria multiflora protects lung tissues from CP-induced toxicity and suggest a role for oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of lung toxicity produced by CP in *** Zataria multiflora has been extensively used as an additive agent and is regarded as safe,it may be used concomitantly as a good supplement for reducing organ toxicity in patients undergoing chemotherapy,besides their consolidated ethnopharmacological uses.

Soil Temperature and Maize Nitrogen Uptake Improvement Under Partial Root-Zone Drying Irrigation

Soil temperature is a major effective factor on the soil and plant biological *** can affect soil temperature and thereby induces a temperature effect on plant growth,which may result in an economic increase due to higher yield and plant nutrition.A ?eld experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of three irrigation strategies including full irrigation(FI),partial root-zone drying(PRD) and de?cit irrigation(DI) on soil temperature and the consequent results on the grain yield and N uptake of maize(Zea May L.).Soil temperature was measured by time domain re?ectometry(TDR) sensors during the 2010 growing *** treatments were applied from 55 to 107 d after *** PRD treatment caused soil temperature to be in a favorable domain for a longer period(for over 60% of the measuring dates) as a consequent result of water movement to deeper soil layers compared with the other treatments;the PRD treatment also reduced soil temperature at deeper soil depths to below the maximum favorable soil temperature for maize root growth,which resulted in deeper root penetration due to both water availability and favorable soil *** to the FI treatment,the PRD treatment increased root water uptake by 50% and caused no signi?cant reduction in total N uptake,while this was not observed in the DI treatment partially due to the negative temperature effect of DI on plant growth,which consequently affected the water and nutrient uptake.A longer vegetation period in the PRD treatment was observed due to higher leaf N concentrations and no signi?cant reduction in maize grain yield occurred in the PRD treatment,compared with those in the FI *** on the results,having 15.2% water saving during the whole growing season,the PRD irrigation would positively affect soil temperature and the water and nutrient uptake as a consequent,which thereby would prevent signi?cant reduction in maize grain yield.

Predicting COVID-19 fatality rate based on age group using LSTM

Objective: To predict the daily incidence and fatality rates based on long short-term memory(LSTM) in 4 age groups of COVID-19 patients in Mazandaran Province, ***: To predict the daily incidence and fatality rates by age groups, this epidemiological study was conducted based on the LSTM model. All data of COVID-19 disease were collected daily for training the LSTM model from February 22, 2020 to April 10, 2021 in the Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences. We defined 4 age groups, i.e., patients under 29, between 30 and 49, between 50 and 59, and over 60 years old. Then, LSTM models were applied to predict the trend of daily incidence and fatality rates from 14 to 40 days in different age groups. The results of different methods were compared with each ***: This study evaluated 5 0826 patients and 5 109 deaths with COVID-19 daily in 20 cities of Mazandaran Province. Among the patients, 25 240 were females(49.7%), and 25 586 were males(50.3%). The predicted daily incidence rates on April 11, 2021 were 91.76, 155.84, 150.03, and 325.99 per 100 000 people, respectively;for the fourteenth day April 24, 2021, the predicted daily incidence rates were 35.91, 92.90, 83.74, and 225.68 in each group per 100 000 people. Furthermore, the predicted average daily incidence rates in 40 days for the 4 age groups were 34.25, 95.68, 76.43, and 210.80 per 100 000 people, and the daily fatality rates were 8.38, 4.18, 3.40, 22.53 per 100 000 people according to the established LSTM model. The findings demonstrated the daily incidence and fatality rates of 417.16 and 38.49 per 100 000 people for all age groups over the next 40 days. Conclusions: The results highlighted the proper performance of the LSTM model for predicting the daily incidence and fatality rates. It can clarify the path of spread or decline of the COVID-19 outbreak and the priority of vaccination in age groups.

Effects of rainfall patterns on runoff and soil erosion in field plots

Soil erosion processes during a storm are strongly affected by intra-storm variations in rainfall *** storm patterns,each with a different rainfall intensity variation were *** storm patterns were:(1)increasing rainfall intensity(2)increasing then decreasing intensity(3)decreasing intensity(4)decreasing then increasing *** each erosive rainfall(12 events),Runoff and suspended sediment samples were collected in each plot's tank which is located on hillslopes of the basin of *** storm characteristics and soil losses were plotted and equation of the line of best fit were *** of variance(ANOVA)was used to determine response of runoff and soil erosion to storm *** showed that in lower rainfall intensities a linear function fits the relationship between soil loss and rainfall intensity whereas this function tends to be non-linear at higher *** a strong non-linear relationship was found between different quartiles of storm and soil *** analysis revealed significant differences in total runoff,soil loss and sediment concentration across four storm patterns(P<0.001)but no differences in the runoff *** particular,storms with increasing rainfall intensity yielded highest quantities of eroded sediments,total runoff and highest sediment concentrations followed by increasing then decreasing,decreasing then increasing and decreasing intensity,respectively.
