This review addresses ongoing discussions involving nanolaser experiments,particularly those related to thresholdless lasing or few-emitter devices.A quantum-optical(quantum-mechanical active medium and radiation field)theory is used to examine the emission properties of nanolasers under different experimental *** active medium is treated as inhomogeneously broadened semiconductor quantum dots embedded in a quantum well,where carriers are introduced via current *** are made between a conventional laser and a nanolaser with a spontaneous emission factor of unity,as well as a laser with only a few quantum dots providing the *** is found that the combined exploration of intensity,coherence time,photon autocorrelation function and carrier spectral hole burning can provide a unique and consistent picture of nanolasers in the new regimes of laser operation during the transition from thermal to coherent ***,by reducing the number of quantum dots in the optical cavity,a clear indication of non-classical photon statistics is observed before the single-quantum-dot limit is reached.

A large amount of mobile data from growing high-speed train(HST)users makes intelligent HST communications enter the era of big *** corresponding artificial intelligence(AI)based HST channel modeling becomes a *** paper provides AI based channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification model for millimeter wave(mmWave)HST ***,the ray tracing method verified by measurement data is applied to reconstruct four representative HST *** setting the positions of transmitter(Tx),receiver(Rx),and other parameters,the multi-scenarios wireless channel big data is ***,based on the obtained channel database,radial basis function neural network(RBF-NN)and back propagation neural network(BP-NN)are trained for channel characteristic prediction and scenario ***,the channel characteristic prediction and scenario classification capabilities of the network are evaluated by calculating the root mean square error(RMSE).The results show that RBF-NN can generally achieve better performance than BP-NN,and is more applicable to prediction of HST scenarios.

We consider state and parameter estimation for compartmental models having both timevarying and time-invariant *** this manuscript,we first detail a general Bayesian computational framework as a continuation of our previous ***,this framework is specifically tailored to the susceptible-infectious-removed(SIR)model which describes a basic mechanism for the spread of infectious diseases through a system of coupled nonlinear differential *** SIR model consists of three states,namely,the susceptible,infectious,and removed *** coupling among these states is controlled by two parameters,the infection rate and the recovery *** simplicity of the SIR model and similar compartmental models make them applicable to many classes of infectious ***,the combined assumption of a deterministic model and time-invariance among the model parameters are two significant impediments which critically limit their use for long-term *** tendency of certain model parameters to vary in time due to seasonal trends,non-pharmaceutical interventions,and other random effects necessitates a model that structurally permits the incorporation of such time-varying *** to this,is the need for a robust mechanism for the estimation of the parameters of the resulting model from *** this end,we consider an augmented state vector,which appends the time-varying parameters to the original system states whereby the time evolution of the time-varying parameters are driven by an artificial noise process in a standard *** between time-varying and time-invariant parameters in this fashion limits the introduction of artificial dynamics into the system,and provides a robust,fully Bayesian approach for estimating the timeinvariant system parameters as well as the elements of the process noise covariance *** computational framework is implemented by leveraging the robustness of the Markov chain Mont

Federated learning(FL) is a promising distributed learning approach due to its privacy-enhancing characteristic [1–3].To enhance communication efficiency of FL, over-the-air computation(AirComp) has emerged as a key technique by exploiting the waveform superposition property of multiple access channels [4, 5]. Although AirComp-enabled FL(AirFL) offers significant performance gains, it does not address the data heterogeneity in most real-life FL scenarios with non-independent and identically distributed local datasets.

This article proposes and demonstrates a retrodirective array(RDA)for two-way wireless communication with automatic beam *** proposed RDA is enabled by specifically designed chips made using a domestic complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)*** highly integrated CMOS chip includes a receiving(Rx)chain,a transmitting(Tx)chain,and a unique tracking phaselocked loop(PLL)for the crucial conjugated phase recovery in the *** article also proposes a method to reduce the beam pointing error(BPE)in a conventional *** validate the above ideas simply yet without loss of generality,a 2.4 GHz RDA is demonstrated through two-way communication links between the Rx and Tx chains,and an on-chip quadrature coupler is designed to achieve a nonretrodirective signal suppression of 23 *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed RDA,which incorporates domestically manufactured low-cost 0.18 lm CMOS chips,is capable of automatically tracking beams covering±40with a reduced *** CMOS chip in the RDA has a compact size of 4.62 mm^(2) and a low power consumption of 0.15 *** the best of the authors’knowledge,this is the first research to demonstrate an RDA with a fully customized CMOS chip for wireless communication with automatic beam tracking。

We analyze the well-posedness of an anisotropic,nonlocal diffusion *** an equivalence between weighted and unweighted anisotropic nonlocal diffusion operators in the vein of unified nonlocal vector calculus,we apply our analysis to a class of fractional-order operators and present rigorous estimates for the solution of the corresponding anisotropic anomalous diffusion ***,we extend our analysis to the anisotropic diffusion-advection equation and prove well-posedness for fractional orders s∈[0.5,1).We also present an application of the advection-diffusion equation to anomalous transport of solutes.

Physical-layer secret key generation(PSKG)provides a lightweight way for group key(GK)sharing between wireless users in large-scale wireless ***,most of the existing works in this field consider only group *** a commonly dual-task scenario,where both GK and pairwise key(PK)are required,traditional methods are less suitable for direct *** the first time,we discover a security issue with traditional methods in dual-task scenarios,which has not previously been *** propose an innovative segment-based key generation method to solve this security *** do not directly use PK exclusively to negotiate the GK as traditional ***,we generate GK and PK separately through segmentation which is the first solution to meet *** also perform security and rate *** is demonstrated that our method is effective in solving this security issue from an information-theoretic *** rate results of simulation are also consistent with the our rate derivation.
