Building imaginary-time thermal field theory with artificial neural networks

In this paper,we introduce a novel approach in quantum field theories to estimate actions using artificial neural networks(ANNs).The actions are estimated by learning system configurations governed by the Boltzmann factor,e^(-s),at different temperatures within the imaginary time formalism of thermal field ***,we focus on the 0+1 dimensional quantum field with kink/anti-kink configurations to demonstrate the feasibility of the ***-mixture autoregressive networks(CANs)enable the construction of accurate effective actions with tractable probability density *** numerical results demonstrate that this methodology not only facilitates the construction of effective actions at specified temperatures but also adeptly estimates the action at intermediate temperatures using data from both lower and higher temperature *** capability is especially valuable for detailed exploration of phase diagrams.

A recent study published in Molecular Psychiatry proposes a cellular mechanism that may contribute to decreased insulin production in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).1 Using a combination of cell culture experiments,animal models and studies in T2DM patients,the authors show that an up-regulation of tau inβ-islet cells can inhibit pancreatic insulin secretion through changes in microtubule assembly.

The value-chain approach(VCA)was used for exploring how a niche crop,namely large cardamom(Amomum subulatum Roxb.),can be developed sustainably to increase incomes and enhance rural livelihoods in the *** cardamom is a high-value,agro-climatically suitable,and non-perishable spice crop grown in the Himalayan *** in Sikkim,the crop is important to the local economy and is sold in both domestic and international markets;however,its production in India has been declining significantly in recent *** VCA and participatory methods of data collection the study helped elicit value chain actors’perspectives on various reasons for the decline as well as potential strategies to improve the cardamom value *** results present the multiple environmental and climatic(*** stress),social(*** participation)and institutional(*** of trust between actors)challenges and corresponding upgrading *** participatory multi-criteria analysis(MCA),the strategies were prioritized based on the overall preferences of multiple *** analysis considered eight criteria and 25 options,or strategies,and found that that marketability and profitability were the most important criteria,and increasing cardamom production,the most important *** discussions along with sensitivity analysis also showed how these options could be implemented and revealed how criteria preferences can change with expert *** combination of VCA and MCA,because it supports participatory decision-making and balances multiple dimensions of sustainable development,can be effectively deployed in planning for agricultural development in the mountains.

Multiple objectives to be optimized simultaneously are prevalent in real-life problems. This paper develops a new Pareto Method for bi-objective optimization which yields analytical solutions. The Pareto optimal front is obtained in closed-form, enabling the derivation of various solutions in a convenient and efficient way. The advantage of analytical solution is the possibility of deriving accurate, exact and well-understood solutions, which is especially useful for policy analysis. An extension of the method to include multiple objectives is provided with the objectives being classified into two types. Such an extension expands the applicability of the developed techniques.

This paper extends Slutsky’s classic work on consumer theory to a random horizon stochastic dynamic framework in which the consumer has an inter-temporal planning horizon with uncertainties in future incomes and life span. Utility maximization leading to a set of ordinary wealth-dependent demand functions is performed. A dual problem is set up to derive the wealth compensated demand functions. This represents the first time that wealth-dependent ordinary demand functions and wealth compensated demand functions are obtained under these uncertainties. The corresponding Roy’s identity relationships and a set of random horizon stochastic dynamic Slutsky equations are then derived. The extension incorporates realistic characteristics in consumer theory and advances the conventional microeconomic study on consumption to a more realistic optimal control framework.

Positive MR and Large Temperature—Field Sensitivity in Manganite Based Heterostructures

studies on the ZnO/La0.5Pr0.2Sr0.3Mn03 （LPSMO）/SrNb0.002Ti0.99803 （SNTO） heterostructure having varying thickness of p-type LPSMO （100 nm - LP1） and （200 nm - LP2） manganite are carried out. ZnO/LPSMO （n-p） and LPSMO/SNTO （p-n） junctions of both the heterostructures exhibit good rectifying behavior in a wide range of temperature and applied field. Forward and reverse bias characteristics of both the junctions of heterostructures show opposite behavior. The observation of negative magnetoresistance （MR） at 5 K and positive MR at 300 K, in both the heterostructures, has been explained in the context of interface region effects and filling of energy bands of LPSMO manganite. Further, at high temperature, the heterostructures exhibit large temperature （46%K-1） and field （40%T-1） sensitivities. Dependence of transport, magnetotransport, I-V and sensing properties of the heterostructures, on the temperature, field and film thicknesses have been discussed in this communication.

This paper investigates a double auction-based peer-to-peer(P2P)energy trading market for a community of renewable prosumers with private information on reservation price and quantity of energy to be traded.A novel competition padding auction(CPA)mechanism for P2P energy trading is proposed to address the budget deficit problem while holding the advantages of the widely-used Vickrey-Clarke-Groves *** illustrate the theoretical properties of the CPA mechanism,the sufficient conditions are identified for a truth-telling equilibrium with a budget surplus to exist,while further proving its asymptotical economic *** addition,the CPA mechanism is implemented through consortium blockchain smart contracts to create safer,faster,and larger P2P energy trading *** proposed mechanism is embedded into blockchain consensus protocols for high consensus efficiency,and the budget surplus of the CPA mechanism motivates the prosumers to manage the *** studies are carried out to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Stimulated Raman scattering （srs） effect is considered to be one of the main obstacles for power scaling in general-type fber lasers. Different from previous techniques that aim at suppressing srs, nonlinear fiber amplifier （NFA）, which manipulates and employs the srs for power scaling in rare-earth-doped fiber, is under intensive research in recent years. In this paper, the authors will present an all-round study on this new kind of high-power fiber amplifier. A theoretical model is proposed based on the rate equation and amplified spontaneous emission （ASE）, with random noise taken into account. By numerical solving of the theoretical model, the power scaling potential, heat analysis and advantages in suppressing the undesired backscattering light are quantificationally analyzed for the first time. Then two different types of high-power NFAs are demonstrated individually. Firstly, a laser diode pumped NFA has reached kilowatt output power, and the results agree well with theoretical predictions. Secondly, a tandem-pumped NFA is proposed for the first time and validated experimentally, in which 1.5 kW output power has been achieved. The authors also briefly discuss several new issues relating to the complex nonlinear dynamics that occur in high-power NFAs, which might be interesting topics for future endeavors.
