Effect of regional ecological carrying capacity on economic transformation

Combined with the actual situation of the western region city of Zunyi, the three subsystems including social, economic and natural environment evaluation index systems of ECC have been built based on the theory of ecological carrying capacity(ECC). In addition, the factor analysis method has been used and the influence factors on the ECC in the economic transition have been gained. The results show that factors of ECC in the three subsystems have different influence: 1) the natural subsystem, which contains factors on the ECC, has obvious limitation, and it has the greatest influence on industrial waste discharge per capita; 2) the social subsystem has a restriction on the ECC, which affects the traffic environment mostly; 3) the economic subsystem has a certain restriction on ECC, which has a large effect on the consumption level per capita.

Increasing attention has been focused on the extent to which corporate political connections influence the growing pollution due to the rapid growth in the popularity of firm pollution in developing *** adopt a static threshold regression model to investigate the effects of heterogeneous environmental regulation on political connections and firm pollution based on the panel data from China’s A-share listed companies from 2012 to *** empirical results show a non-linear relationship between the degree of political connection of listed company executives and the level of firm *** the relationship between the two roughly presents a U-shaped relationship under the action of the marketincentive environmental regulation ***,it roughly presents an inverted N-shaped relationship under the action of the command-control environmental regulation ***,the group test results show that the existence of regional and ownership heterogeneity causes certain differences in the environmental behaviour of politically connected *** findings indicate that diverse environmental regulations are needed to promote sustainable green development and to further expand the theoretical and practical exploration of political connections on firm pollution.

The systems sciences and cybernetics emerged in the years after World War II. These fields created many new approaches to engineering and management and contributed new ideas to existing academic fields. The new fields also identified similar concepts across a range of fields and began to create a general theory of systems. In addition the systems sciences created a variety of methods for managing complex systems, for example logistics, operations research and computer simulations. In the 1970s there was concern about population and environment balance. Currently there is increasing concern with governance, since the rate of presentation of problems seems to be greater than the ability of our institutions to manage them. This paper will discuss the history of systems science and cybernetics, the questions formulated and the solutions proposed, the difficulties encountered in Finding a home within contemporary universities and some exciting lines of research now underway.

In this paper, the relationship between external current stimulus and chaotic behaviors of a Hindmarsh–Rose(HR)neuron is considered. In order to find out the range of external current stimulus which will produce chaotic behaviors of an HR neuron, the Shil’nikov technique is employed. The Cardano formula is taken to obtain the threshold of the chaotic motion, and series solution to a differential equation is utilized to obtain the homoclinic orbit of HR neurons. This analysis establishes mathematically the value of external current input in generating chaotic motion of HR neurons by the Shil’nikov method. The numerical simulations are performed to support the theoretical results.

An emerging business model increasingly used by companies in the online software market is to provide both a free basic version and a paid premium version for a service or a product to customers. Such a setting is often called freemium model. The existence of the free version can reduce the customer uncertainty regarding the evaluation of the commercial software and make use of network effect to improve the firm＇s profit. However, the freemium model may also have the cannibalization effect which can hurt the profit. Hence, the from needs to determine the optimal content for the free version and the optimal price for the premium version to maximize its profit. In this paper, thst, we obtain the optimal decisions of the freemium model and their properties. Second, we compare the freemium model with the traditional charge-for-everything model that all content of the product need to be charged in terms of the profit, customer welfare, and social welfare. The results show that when customer underestimates the value of the software significantly and the true value of the software is high enough, the freemium model can generate higher profit, higher customer welfare, and higher social welfare. Otherwise, the freemium model may not deliver the desired results.

Facing the threat of market follower encroachment,this paper constructs game theoretical models based on different channel structures and market structures,investigates following manufacturer's encroachment strategy and technology strategies,and discusses the impact of following manufacturer's strategy on quality *** results show that encroachment always improves consumer surplus by slashing prices when leading manufacturer adopts in-house R&D(IRD);otherwise,it results in lower consumer surplus with mild competition if leading manufacturer is at a technological ***,the technology strategies of following manufacturer are related to their R&D *** superior one is outsourcing R&D(ORD)for the manufacturers when their R&D capability is weak,otherwise,IRD is *** a word,the leading manufacturer always prefers IRD under certain conditions,while the following manufacturer always prefers *** addition,encroachment restrains quality innovative motivation under fixed or quality-sensitive R&D costs,but can improve quality level when consumers have a higher reference dependency for quality;meanwhile,the following manufacturer adopting ORD is always beneficial to quality improvement.

A novel single-phase Sm^3+activated Ca5(PO4)2SiO4 phosphor was successfully fabricated via a conventional solid-state method,which can be e fficie ntly excited by near ultraviolet(n-UV)light-emitting *** crystal structure and luminescence properties were characterized and analyzed systematically by using relevant *** Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:Sm^3+phosphor shows an orange-red emission peaking at600 nm under the excitation of 403 nm and the optimal doping concentration of Sm^3+is determined to be 0.08,The critical distance of Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm^3+is calculated to be 1.849 nm and concentration quenching mechanism of the Sm^3+in Ca5(PO4)2SiO4 host is ascribed to energy transfer between nearestneighbor *** decay time of Ca5(PO4)2 SiO4:0,08 Sm^3+is determined to be 1.1957 *** addition,the effect of temperature on the emission intensity was also studied,72.4%of the initial intensity is still preserved at 250℃,better thermal stability compared to commercial phosphor YAG:Ce^3+indicates that Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm^3+has excellent thermal stability and active energy is deduced to be 0.130 *** the results demonstrate that orange-red emitting Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm3+phosphor exhibits good luminescent *** to the excellent thermal quenching luminescence property,Ca5(PO4)2SiO4:0.08 Sm^3+phosphor can be applied in n-UV white light emitting diodes and serve as the warm part of white light.

CEO compensation stickiness represents an important indicator to measure the effectiveness of compensation *** study uses CEO career experience data and compensation stickiness data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2015 to 2020 to investigate the compensation contracts’effectiveness of CEOs with diverse career *** findings are as follows:1)Compensation stickiness is more pronounced for CEOs with diverse career *** to the mechanism test,these CEOs with diverse career experiences can obtain compensation incentives by reducing corporate uncertainty perception and improving total factor *** approach leads to increased compensation stickiness and the effectiveness of compensation *** with diverse career experiences may receive excess compensation by raising agency costs,which intensifies compensation stickiness and weakens the effectiveness of compensation contracts.2)Compensation stickiness of CEOs with diverse career experiences is more significant in companies with lower investor protection,which brings about less effective compensation *** contrast,in companies with higher diversification,the compensation stickiness of CEOs with diverse career experiences is more significant,which delivers more effective compensation *** conclusions deepen the research of CEO compensation contracts and provide a helpful reference for CEO compensation management practices.

In order to facilitate crowdsourcing-based task solving,complex tasks are decomposed into interdependent subtasks that can be executed cooperatively by individual *** to maximize the quality of the final solution subject to the self-interested worker’s utility maximization,a key challenge is to allocate the limited budget among the subtasks as the rewards for workers having various levels of *** study is the first attempt to show the value of Markov decision processes(MDPs)for the problem of optimizing the quality of the final solution by dynamically determining the budget allocation on sequentially dependent subtasks under the budget constraints and the uncertainty of the workers’ *** simulation-based approach verifies that compared to some offline methods where workers’ abilities are fully known,our proposed MDP-based payment planning is more efficient at optimizing the final quality under the same limited budget.
