This study proposes a solution for optimizing the distance between a solar module and reflector for an indoor energy harvesting *** is a process in which energy(ambient light)is captured and converted directly into *** a building,this energy could be used to supply power to wide range of portable equipment or offset other electrical energy usage and associated *** proposed reflector element was designed and tested in a real indoor environment to confirm its effectiveness.A distance⁃optimization method for the placement of a polycrystalline photovoltaic(PV)module and a mirror was described,and the performance characteristics of the system were investigated qualitatively through visual observation and quantitatively through measuring voltage and ampere *** solar PV system with a reflector element displayed a 10%increase in voltage when compared with that *** the distance between PV module and the reflector increased,the voltage and ampere reading decreased,thus the distance was optimized to gain maximum *** studies employing reflectors have also showed increases in voltage readings with different designs,suggesting that reflectors are economically viable optical elements that can boost the voltage output of a PV *** practice,the distance⁃optimized PV module can be placed in buildings with extended indoor lighting duration away from disrupting building activity.

Variability of power generation due to the prevalence of cloud cover over solar photovoltaics(PV)power plants is a challenge faced by grid operators and independent system operators(ISOs)in the integration of solar energy into the *** forecasts generated through ground⁃based sky imaging systems are useful for short⁃term cloud motion ***,the cost of sky imaging systems currently available in industries is relatively ***,a ground⁃based camera system utilizing a simple webcam is proposed in this *** proposed method can produce predictions with high levels of *** were generated through video analysis using MATLAB for the computation of cloud motion *** image processing involved in the implementation of the proposed system is based on the detection of cloud regions in the form of a cluster of white pixels within individual frames and tracking their motion through comparison of subsequent *** study describes the techniques and processes used in the development of the proposed method,along with the evaluation of performance through analysis of the *** predictions were carried out over multiple time *** time horizons selected include 5,10,15,20,25,and 30 *** overall results computed showed promising accuracy levels above 94.60%,which makes it adequate for generating reliable forecasts.

Impact of Oil Price Fluctuations on Returns of Different Sectors of Malaysian Stock Market

Oil price fluctuations affect equity values in North American, European, and Gulf Cooperation Council （GCC） stock markets, as evidenced by prior studies. However, they only focus on market-wide level analysis. This study, through both market level and sector level analyses, examines the sensitivity of Malaysian stock returns to oil price fluctuations over the period from January 2000 to March 2014. A multifactor market model has been employed to capture this sensitivity. The regression results show a positive impact of oil price changes on the Financial Times Stock Exchange Kuala Lumpur Composite Index （FTSE KLCI） market return. Consumer staples and energy sector index returns were also positively affected by oil price changes. On the other hand, utilities and telecom services were negatively affected over the study period. Moreover, Granger causality analysis was performed to see if oil price fluctuations Granger cause the stock indices to change. With one month lag period, oil price fluctuations Granger cause consumer staple, energy, industrials, and telecommunication services return. Relevant policymakers and market caretakers （Ministry of Finance, Central Bank, and Security Commission） may use the fmdings of this study to develop and incorporate a preventive mechanism to minimize the unfavorable impacts of oil price fluctuations on different sectors of stock market, and Malaysian economy in general.

The performance of photovoltaic(PV)modules is affected by environmental factors such as irradiance and temperature,which can lead to a decrease in output performance or even *** study proposes an improved formula for calculating the real maximum power of PV modules by analysing the influence of irradiance and temperature.A simulation model is developed using PLECS software to simulate the global maximum power of PV modules under different environmental conditions and the results are compared with the calculated real maximum power.A power optimization scheme for PV modules is then proposed based on current equalization and constant voltage *** scheme employs a single-switch multi-winding forward-flyback converter to equalize the mismatched currents between cell strings,thereby enhancing the output *** proportional-integral controllers are utilized to achieve constant voltage control and obtain the real maximum power of PV *** models are built in the PLECS simulation platform to evaluate the performance of a global maximum power point tracking scheme based on the traditional perturb-and-observe(TPO)algorithm with current equalization,a segment perturb-and-observe algorithm without current equalization,and the proposed power optimization *** simulation results demonstrate that the proposed constant voltage control has greater efficiency than the TPO *** proposed scheme achieves a significant improvement in efficiency,with a 27.87%increase compared with the segment perturb-and-observe algorithm without current equalization.

The progression through which a person acquires ,;kills, understanding, and opinions regarding a particular organization or company is called organizational learning （OL）. In this study, the connection between organizational innovation （OI） and OL within the inf3rmation and communication technology （ICT） industry in Malaysia is surveyed. These relationships are examined, because various previous inquiries have shown that an imperative precursor to firm performance is OL. Two hundred and seventy-eight surveys were completed by small and medium organizations across Malaysia. The connections existing between the causes of OL and the causes of OI were ascertained by using structural equation modeling （SEM）. Amongst the Malaysian small- and medium-sized enterprises （SMEs） that participated in fire study, OI and OL are considerably linked.

In recent years,intensive studies have been carried out to find an alternative for Tin(Sn)⁃Lead(Pb)solder alloys with increasing demand over lower temperature solder alloys in current electronic packaging *** temperature operational solder alloys seem to produce drawback to other components on the printed circuit board(PCB).Low melting temperature Sn58Bi substrate as a potential replacement was investigated in this paper based on the melting properties,wettability,and shear *** Sn58Bi was soldered at a temperature below 200℃on the Cu substrate,and the shear strength and contact angle were calculated.A peak temperature(melting temperature,T_(M))of 144.83℃was *** lap joint method was performed at a strain rate of 0.1 mm/min and an average shear strength of 23.4 MPa was found from three *** contact angle(wettability)was calculated to study the solder joint behaviour at reflow temperature of 170℃.The contact angle of the Sn58Bi was found to be 32.4°and considered to be desired value since the angle is less than 50°.The low temperature soldering provides a preliminary result to allow further application on the real PCB.

This research discusses the role of information security development （ISD） using organizational factors such as information security plans, information security awareness, perceived quality training programs, information security policies and procedures, and organizational culture in effective information security management （ISM） implementation in the banks （a Nigerian case）. This paper explores the existing literature and a proposed framework that consists of ISD such as information security plans, information security awareness, perceived quality training programs, information security policies and procedures, and organizational culture in ISM implementation. ISD factors are found to be statistically significant, because it motivates an organization to implement effective ISM in the banks. Hence, it could be said that the role of ISD practices in an effective implementation of ISM among banks in Nigeria will be of great value.
