Many e.pe.ime.tal cance. vaccine. are.e.ploring toll-like.re.e.tor agonists （TLRas） such as CpG, a DNA motif that agonize. toll-like.re.e.tor 9 （TLR9）, to trigge. immune.re.ponse. that are.pote.t and mole.ularly-spe.ific. The.ability to tune.the.immune.re.ponse.is e.pe.ially important in the.immunosuppre.sive.microe.vironme.ts of tumors. Be.ause.TLR9 is locate. intrace.lularly, CpG must be.inte.nalize. by immune.ce.ls for functionality.
