Objectives: To assess the nurses’ experiences in service provision a COVID-19 dedicated tertiary public hospital. Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in one tertiary level public hospital namely Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), Dhaka, Bangladesh from January to December 2021. Data were collected through face-to-face interview using a structured questionnaire containing demographic details and experiences faced by the nurses in service provision during COVID-19. Data was analysed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) software version 23. Results: The findings revealed that the mean age of the respondents was 32.35 ± 7.248 years, the minimum age was 23 years and maximum age was 58 years. About half of the respondents 52.1% were in 21 - 30 years. The majorities 89% were female. More than half of the respondents 72.6% were Muslim and 63.83% of respondents have completed Diploma in nursing. About 32.2% respondents were living with senior citizen, 33% respondents were infected by COVID-19, 24.23% respondent mentioned nurse-Patient ratio in general ward was 1:7 and 71.08% mentioned nurse-patient ratio in I.C.U/C.C.U. was 1:3 (December 2021). PPE were available among 88.0% respondents and N95 mask were available among 84.0% respondent. About 34.8% respondents got COVID-19 guideline training and 32.4% got donning and doffing training. More than half of the respondents 76% stated that equipment is adequate, 56.38% respondents mention that insufficient of nurses and 53.7% were mentioned insufficient of subordinate staff. About 22.6% respondents faced social stigma and majorities 96.5% respondents mentioned they got proper family support. The significance of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care is emphasized in aging Finland. According to studies, rehabilitation-promoting nursing care enhances the functional capacity of the elderly. The Elderly Services Act obliges municipalities to create a plan to support the elderly population, emphasizing home care and rehabilitation measures. A large portion of graduated practical nurses will be working with the elderly, so the education of practical nurses must meet the needs of the workforce. The study aimed to produce new information on the implementation of rehabilitation- promoting nursing care in the elderly service system and on the education of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care for the elderly in vocational institutions. The research data was collected in the autumn of 2020 through individual thematic interviews with practical nurse students (n = 8). The data was analyzed using inductive content analysis. Practical nurse students’ experiences of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care for the elderly were related to nurses’ time management, organizational practices, nursing competence, nurses’ attitudes, nurses’ practices, organizational development, implementation and development of practical education, factors affecting the use of aids, and technological aspects of aids in the future. In conclusion, it can be stated that the content of education and practical work life do not align. It is essential to increase competence in rehabilitation-promoting nursing care and to develop organizational practices.

目的基于能力、机会、动机和行为(capability,opportunity,motivation,and behavior,COM-B)理论,调查我国护十抗菌药物管理(antmicroD1al stewardship,AMS)参与水平及其影响因素,为制订有效策略提高AMS护理质量提供参考依据。方法采用横断面调查法。于2021年11月至2022年1月,选取湖南省的17所三级医院的4 514名护士进行调查。在COM-B理论指导下,自行编制护士参与抗菌药物管理问卷(the nurse AMS Engagement Questionnaire,NAEQ)。该问卷包括能力(14个条目)、机会(7个条目)、动机(6个条目)和行为(12个条目)4个维度,共39个条目。结果护十NAEQ总分为(155.08±27.12)分,得分率为79.5%,表明护士参与AMS处于中等水平。其中,能力维度得分为(52.33±13.48)分,机会维度得分为(28.64±5.76)分,动机维度得分为(24.57±4.57)分,行为维度得分为(49.53±8.83)分。不同职称、是否兼职感染控制护士、是否知晓AMS团队、是否知晓抗菌药物限定口剂量、科室类型、科室是否配备临床药师、参与抗菌药物培训和医师-护士联合查房的频率等特征不同的护士NAEQ得分比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。其中初级职称护士的NAEQ得分高于中级职称护士(P<0.05);担任兼职感染控制护士、知晓AMS团队、知晓抗菌药物限定日剂量的护士NAEQ得分高于其他护上(P<0.01);重症监护室和传染病科护士NAEQ得分低于五官科等其他科室的护士(P<0.01);科室配备临床药师的护士NAEQ得分高于未配备或不清楚是否配备临床药师的护士(P<0.01);参与抗菌药物培训和医师-护十联合查房次数较多的护士NAEQ得分高于其他护十(P<0.01)。结论加强教育和培训及改善多学科沟通与协作等多种策略有望提高护士参与AMS的水平。此外,应更多关注中级职称、感染控制经验较少以及特定科室工作的护士。

Confinement was a helpful measure to avoid virus propagation, but social isolation and the massive closure of face-to face activities in educational institutions, impacted negatively in mental health of students, it increased stress and anxiety in adolescents, affecting their communication skills in this significant step of interpersonal relationships, and the search for their identity. The lockdown in addition to stress and anxiety triggered fear emotions, frustration, worrying and anger, as well as changes in driving energy, diminishing interest and desires. This work aimed to analyze the impact on mental health in first year secondary school adolescents after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Method: Qualitative and phenomenological research, 25 students of first year from a public secondary school of Mexico’s metropolitan area participated in the study;they were girls and boys 12 - 13 years old. Data collection was through a semi-structured interview, testimonials and anecdotes, in two hour sessions, along a week;research team recorded the interviews, testimonials and anecdotes. A signed informed consent was obtained from school authorities, parents and the assent of students. Obtained qualitative data were analyzed according to De Souza Minayo. Results: Four categories emerged with sub-categories. Category 1: Anxiety crisis, sub-categories 1.1. In overcrowded places, 1.2. To speak in public, 1.3. Facing interpersonal relationships with peers. Category 2: Impaired self-concept, sub-categories 2.1. Deficient self-perception, 2.2 Continuous disqualification and 2.3. Deficient personal objectivity. Category 3: Emotions handling, and sub-categories 3.1 Deficient identification of emotions, 3.2 Deficient handling of emotions, 3.3 Maximized emotions. In this experiment,the Dcxtran-T40(Dex-T40) served as intermidiate carrier,conjugated SM6 monoclonal antiidiotypic antibody(anti-Id-McAb) against B lymphocytic leukemia cells and chemotherapeutical drug daunorubicin(DNR) to form SM6:Dex: DNR *** activity of anti-Id-McAb and DNR of the immunoconjugate and their extent of the substitution were measured,and the autitumor activity of SM6:hex:DNR was assayed in *** results demonstrateil that using Dex-T40 to prepare immunoconjugate could get a higher extent of substitution of McAb and DNR and maintain the activity of McAb and drug *** results of cytotoxic assay in vitro suggested that the immunoconjugate SM6:Dex:DNR possess a specific cytotoxic effett to target tumor cells.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Lower-Level Health Care Facilities of Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania: Status towards Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Way Forward

Background: Improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in health care settings is a critical prerequisite for achieving national health goals and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The World Health Organization (WHO) has set a target for each United Nations member state to reach by 2030. Each member state is required to reach by 2022, 2025 and 2030 at least 60%, 80% and 100%, respectively of basic level of service of the five elements which are water, sanitation, hygiene, waste management and environmental cleaning. Methods: This study aimed to evaluate and document the current state of basic water, sanitation, and hygiene services in all lower-level health care facilities in the Dar es Salaam region of Tanzania as of July 2022. A cross-sectional study was conducted in 99 public dispensaries in the Dar es Salaam region’s five councils: Ubungo, Kigamboni, Kinondoni and Temeke Municipalities, and Ilala City. The interviewee form and observational checklists were both digitalized using the Kobo tool software. The respondents were health care facility in-charges or nurse in-charges. Data were downloaded, validated, and imported to Stata version 15 for analysis. Results: The basic WASH level per JMP is far below the target in 2022. Each member state by 2022 is required to reach at least 60% of the basic level of service of each element. We found a low coverage of basic WASH in the 99 dispensaries included in this study. The basic WASH coverage was met in only 10 (10.1%) of the dispensaries, while the remaining 89 (89.9%) dispensaries fall on limited WASH services. Conclusion: This study revealed lower coverage of basic WASH services in dispensaries. An urgent need is required to improve the status of WASH in all the dispensaries and facilitate the provision of quality health care services, patient safety and reduce health care associated infections.
