This research was aimed at the defects in traditional artificial spraying control method and the problems such as the difficulty in pesticides applying,labor shortage and low operating efficiency in the middle and late stage of sugarcane high stalk *** aerial pesticide application technology for sugarcane main diseases and pests was systematically developed and demonstrated from the aspects of aircraft type choice,selection of special pesticides and auxiliaries,integration of pesticides and equipment,field operation,technical specifications,and large-scale application organization *** UAV model and flight technical parameters suitable for the sugarcane planting area in low-latitude plateau were analyzed,and the optimal agent formulation combination and application technology of the UAV flight control were screened out,and the UAV flight control was applied to the major sugarcane pests and diseases control in the low-latitude plateau in large scale(UAV flight control was popularized and applied to 15 527 hm 2 in 2018).The research results provided mature whole-process technical support for the normalization of the application of the UVA flight control of major sugarcane pests and *** UAV control technology for major sugarcane pests and diseases had the advantages of ultra-low pesticides applying dosage and high operating efficiency,and could effectively solve the problems such as the difficulty in pesticides applying,labor shortage and low operating efficiency in the middle late growth stage of high stalk *** technology successfully opened up a simple,efficient and new way for the effective control of major sugarcane pests and diseases,and practically accelerated the process of integrated control and prevention of sugarcane pests and *** addition,this technology had an extremely significant effect on reducing the loss of sugarcane farmers and enterprises caused by the epidemic and outbreak of sugarcane pests and diseases,increasing

Neural recording electrodes enable the acquisition and collection of electrical signals from neurons, and these recorded neural electrical signals are an important means of understanding neuronal activity. As a major component of the brain-machine interface, neural recording electrodes serve as a bridge between the nervous system and external devices. The extracted information can be used to understand the state of the brain and acts as a feedback signal to regulate external devices, thus providing important information for the clinical treatment of neurological diseases. Moreover, the electrodes can be used as a vehicle for drug injection to directly treat diseases. Since the time that Strumwasser used microwires to achieve long-term recordings of neural activity in hibernating squirrels, implantable electrode technology has gradually improved over three generations of development, and progress has been made in improving the biocompatibility, mechanical performance(size, shape, density, etc.), and signal-to-noise *** neural recording electrodes can acquire signals from cortical and deep neural clusters, with the advantages of high signal-to-noise ratio, information content, and spatial/temporal resolution. However, there is still a need to improve the structure and performance of these electrodes; for example, their high invasiveness and lack of biocompatibility pose technical difficulties in the process of translation to the clinic. This paper reviews the basic requirements for electrodes, main recording methods and signal types, common types of implantable neural recording electrodes, and their challenges and future development directions. With the continuous development of electrode materials, equipment, systems,and neurotechnology, it should be possible to apply neural recording electrodes in clinical practice, to promote safe and efficient treatment of human diseases.

The paper illustrates some marine survey AUVs plus their features and typical configurations, and analyzes their key technologies through classification and analysis, which are currently existed or under development. Their composition can be divided into basic modules and functional modules. Basic modules include central processing system, propeller system, power supply system and navigation system etc. Meanwhile, functional modules refer to auxiliary sensor and survey equipment. As for AUV applied in marine survey, designer should pay more consideration to the running state in high velocity flow and strengthen the control of side thrust. The configurations of marine survey AUVs from companies like Kongsberg in Norway, Hydroid in U.S., Bluefin Robotics in U.S. and Hafmynd in Iceland are analyzed and classified. The research and development process of domestic AUV are also be reviewed. As AUV can collect data with highly efficiency and better quality, it will replace traditional means of surface vessels with towed systems for its portability. Easy use of AUV can significantly reduce fuel consumption of ships, which will be widely used in marine survey in the future as a cost-effective method.

Role of Metacognition in Mathematical Problem Solving process of Permutations and Combinations--Basic Study for CAI Software development

When solving a mathematical problem, we sometimes encounter a situation where we can not reach a correct answer in spite of acquiring knowledge and formula necessary for the solution. The reason can be attributed to the lack in metacognitive abilities. Metacognitive abilities consist of comparing the difficulty of problem with own ability, proper plan of solution process, and conscious monitoring and control of solution process. The role and importance of metacognitive ability in mathematical problem solving of permutations and combinations was explored. Participants were required to solve five practical problems related to permutations and combinations. For each problem, the solution process was divided into: (1) understanding (recognition) of mathematical problem; (2) plan of solution; (3) execution of solution. Participants were also required to rate the anticipation whether they could solve it or not, and to rate the confidence of their own answer. According to the total score of five problems, the participants were categorized into the group of the high test score and the group of the low test score. As a result, at the plan and the execution processes, statistically significant differences were detected between the high and the low score groups. As for the rating on the anticipation of result and the confidence of own answer, no significant differences were found between both groups. Moreover, the relationship between the score of plan process and the score of execution process was statistically correlated. In other words, the more proper the plan process was conducted, the more proper solution the participants reached. In such a way, the importance of metacognitive ability in the solving process, especially the plan ability, was suggested.

Nonlinear holography has recently emerged as a novel tool to reconstruct the encoded information at a new wavelength,which has important applications in optical display and optical ***,this scheme still struggles with low conversion efficiency and ineffective *** this work,we demonstrate a quasi-phasematching(QPM)-division multiplexing holography in a three-dimensional(3D)nonlinear photonic crystal(NPC).3D NPC works as a nonlinear hologram,in which multiple images are distributed into different Ewald spheres in reciprocal *** reciprocal vectors locating in a given Ewald sphere are capable of fulfilling the complete QPM conditions for the high-efficiency reconstruction of the target image at the second-harmonic(SH)*** can easily switch the reconstructed SH images by changing the QPM *** multiplexing capacity is scalable with the period number of 3D *** work provides a promising strategy to achieve highly efficient nonlinear multiplexing holography for high-security and high-density storage of optical information.

Reverse osmosis is anew field of applied chemistry and chemical engineering which proven and potential applications are of enormous practical interest for the industrial progress of all nations, and for the health and welfare of all humanity. The object of this series of lectures is present in sufficient detail fundamental approach to research and development on reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration and synthetic membranes in all its aspects in Sourirajan’s laboratary. It includes the physicochemical nature of RO, basic transport equations and determination of solute transport parameters for predicting membrane performence in RO systems involving aqueous solutions and preferential sorption of water at membranesolution interfaces, applications of basic transport equations and solute transport parameters for systems involving mixed-solutes, the engineering science of RO and process design, surface force-pore flow model and their applications, materials science of RO/UF membranes. While there is still a long way to go towards the full development of the science of RO in all its aspects, considerable progress has already been made. This lecture series illustrates this progress and points to directions for new developments.

Histone methylation plays crucial roles in epigenetic *** SET domain proteins generally having methyhransferase activity targeted to specific lysine residues of histones. The enzymes and their specific histone lysine methylation have enormous impacts on the regulation of chromatin structure and ***,we characterized a ubiquitin-associated tomato SET domian protein SUVH3(SlSUVH3) that was implicated as the substrate of the Cul4-DDB1 E3 *** S1SUVH3 protein was shown to have H3 methyhransferase activity and to interact with both DDB1 and Cul4 in plant cell,and these three components appear to form a *** histone methyltransferase SlSUVH3 could be ubiquitinated and its stability was profundly affected by *** of SlSUVH3 in transgenic plants showed abnormal phenotypes,inculding decreased growth and shrinking *** results suggest that the SlSUVH3 might be involved in cell division process via its H3 methyhransferase activity and subjected to ubiquitin-mediated degredation.

Active Field Canceling System in Next Generation Nano-Fab

ELF (extremely low frequency) magnetic fields from power-line current influence the yield of CMOS foundry. The poor yield happens because of ELF magnetic fields inducing directly the measurement or process equipment for cutting-edge chips below 28 nm process. The equipments of electron microscopes, including SEM (scanning electron microscope), TEM (transmission electron microscopy), STEM (scanning transmission electron microscopy) and EBLS (electron beam lithography system) are very susceptible to ELF magnetic fields emanating from various electrical power sources outside of the building and within next generation CMOS foundry recommends a maximum of 0.3 mG. The active canceling method uses active coils with current sensing field via sensor and inducing man-made electromagnetic field to reduce the stray magnetic field. Unfortunately, the conventional system takes more time to products field because of parasitical capacitance and resistance in long coil. The longer canceling coil the system construct, the more time it takes. Besides, canceling system should spend more time on calibrating non-linear current amplifier through software design. This research designs simpler anti-electro-magnetic system instead of typical frame and develops one turn canceling coil structure to reduce delaying time. Several parallel cells generate field up to 23.81 mG controlled by MPU (micro processor unit). This system decreases the power-line inducing filed below 0.3 mG.
