摘      要:Histone methylation plays crucial roles in epigenetic *** SET domain proteins generally having methyhransferase activity targeted to specific lysine residues of histones. The enzymes and their specific histone lysine methylation have enormous impacts on the regulation of chromatin structure and ***,we characterized a ubiquitin-associated tomato SET domian protein SUVH3(SlSUVH3) that was implicated as the substrate of the Cul4-DDB1 E3 *** S1SUVH3 protein was shown to have H3 methyhransferase activity and to interact with both DDB1 and Cul4 in plant cell,and these three components appear to form a *** histone methyltransferase SlSUVH3 could be ubiquitinated and its stability was profundly affected by *** of SlSUVH3 in transgenic plants showed abnormal phenotypes,inculding decreased growth and shrinking *** results suggest that the SlSUVH3 might be involved in cell division process via its H3 methyhransferase activity and subjected to ubiquitin-mediated degredation.
