Vertical displacement event（VDE） is a big challenge to the existing tokamak equipment and that being designed. As a Chinese next-step tokamak, the Chinese fusion Engineering Test Reactor（CFETR） has to pay attention to the VDE study with full-fledged numerical codes during its conceptual design. The tokamak simulation code（TSC） is a free boundary time-dependent axisymmetric tokamak simulation code developed in PPPL, which advances the MHD equations describing the evolution of the plasma in a rectangular domain. The electromagnetic interactions between the surrounding conductor circuits and the plasma are solved self-consistently. The TokSys code is a generic modeling and simulation environment developed in GA. Its RZIP model treats the plasma as a fixed spatial distribution of currents which couple with the surrounding conductors through circuit equations. Both codes have been individually used for the VDE study on many tokamak devices, such as JT-60U, EAST, NSTX, DIII-D, and ITER. Considering the model differences, benchmark work is needed to answer whether they reproduce each other＇s results correctly. In this paper, the TSC and TokSys codes are used for analyzing the CFETR vertical instability passive and active controls design simultaneously. It is shown that with the same inputs, the results from these two codes conform with each other.

Evolution of a non-neutral cold electron-positron plasma slab is investigated. Initially the slab consists of a quasineutral plasma core bounded on both sides by layers containing only positrons （or electrons）. Results from a nonperturbative, or mathematically exact, analysis of the governing fluid conservation equations and the Poisson equation show that despite their equal mass and charge magnitude, the electron and positron fronts can expand separately as well as a single fluid, and that nonlinear surface oscillations can be excited on the expansion fronts.

Passive neutron multiplicity counting is widely used as a nondestructive assay technique to quantify mass of plutonium material. One goal of this technique is to achieve good precision in a short measurement time. In this paper, we describe a procedure to derive mass assay variance for multiplicity counting based on the threeparameter model, and analytical equations are established using the measured neutron multiplicity *** Carlo simulations are performed to evaluate precision versus plutonium mass under a fixed measurement time with the equations. Experimental data of seven weapons-grade plutonium samples are presented to test the expected performance. This variance analysis has been used for the counter design and optimal gate-width setting at Institute of nuclear physics and Chemistry.

The threshold energies of radial flow in reactions of ^40 Ca-^40Ca and ^48Ca＋ ^48Ca in central collisions are investigated within an isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model by using three different forms of symmetry energy. It is found that the neutron-rich system has smaller threshold energy of radial flow and this quantity depends on the form of symmetry potential. It is indicated that the threshold energy of radial flow can provide a new method to determine the symmetry energy of asymmetric nuclear matter.

Here,we review recent computational findings focused on the behavior of transmutation elements (TEs) in Tungsten (W).W is chosen as one of the most promising materials for the divertor armor and plasma facing components in future fusion ***,W in exposure of fusion neutrons can cause the transmutation reaction and produce TEs,such as rhenium and *** presence of TEs can change chemical component of materials,and therefore inevitably influence the microstructure and properties of W *** simulation methods have been employed to investigate the dissolution,diffusion and radiation induced precipitation of TEs,as well as their effects on the behaviors of hydrogen isotopes in *** systematic review can provide an insightful understanding to estimate the influence of TEs on the properties and performance of Wbased materials.

The study of the reliability of operator’s diagnosis and decision-making during abnormal events with HCR model has been introduced. A new approach has been proposed by the authors to deal with the classification of HIs. The modification of T0.5 by PSFs coefficients has been discussed. In addition, it is emphasized that T0. 5 and SD(σ) of response times can be used as a scale to predict and evaluate the reliability of crew/operator behavior. These processings provide improvement and refinement to HCR model and its practical application. The experiment for operator response time of Chinese NPP using a lull-scale simulator has proved the above-mentioned processings and presented the quantitative results of operator reliability in Chinese NPP.

Based on the first ionization chamber （IC） prototype, the structure, working gas component and electrode material of the IC are improved. The test of the improved IC shows that the plateau length is about 2000 V, the plateau slope is less than 0.2%/100 V, the sensitivity is 19.6 pA/rad·h 1, the up-limitation of the linearity can be up to 3.6×105 rad/h, and the applied voltage can be operated to 3500 V. The test results show that the performance of the improved IC meets the requirements of the beam loss monitor.

This paper presents a scheme for faithfully distributing a pure entanglement between two parties over an arbitrary collective-noise channel with linear optics. The transmission is assisted by an additional qubit against collective noise. The receiver can take advantage of the time discrimination and the measurement results of the assistant qubit to reconstruct a pure entanglement with the sender. Although the scheme succeeds probabilistically, the resource used to get a pure entanglement state is finite, and so is easier to establish entanglement in practice than quantum entanglement purification.
