In this work, different sizes of gold nanoparticles were synthesized at room temperature by using trisodium citrate as a surfactant stabilizing agent and sodium borohydride as a reducing agent. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) confirmed that the samples were synthesized in spherical shapes with three different particle sizes: 4 nm, 7 nm and 11 nm. Ultraviolet-visible spectra measurements were used to analyze the way that surface plasmon bands were affected by the different particles sizes. The effect of sphere size on photocatalytic reduction of 4-Nitrophenol was then studied and the rate constant of the reduction was calculated to be 0.014 s-1, 0.0091 s-1 and 0.003 s-1 for particles sizes of 4 nm, 7 nm and 11 nm, respectively. The results obtained indicated that small particles were more active in catalytic reduction due to their high surface energy.

An environmental and economic assessment of the development of a plasma-chemical reactor equipped with plasma torches for the environmentally friendly treatment of waste streams by plasma is outlined with a view to the chemical and energetic valorization of the sustainability in the kingdom of saudi arabia（KSA）. This is especially applicable in the pilgrimage season in the city of Makkah, which is a major challenge since the amount of waste was estimated at about 750 thousand tons through Arabic Year 1435 H（2015）, and is growing at a rate of 3%–5% annually. According to statistics, the value of waste in saudi arabia ranges between 8 and 9 billion EUR. The Plasma-Treatment Project（PTP） encompasses the direct plasma treatment of all types of waste（from source and landfill）, as well as an environmental vision and economic evaluation of the use of the gas produced for fuel and electricity production in KSA, especially in the pilgrimage season in the holy city Makkah. The electrical power required for the plasmatreatment process is estimated at 5000 kW（2000 kW used for the operation of the system and 3000 kW sold）, taking into account the fact that：（1） the processing capacity of solid waste is 100 tons per day（2） and the sale of electricity amounts to 23.8 MW at 0.18 EUR per kWh.（3） The profit from the sale of electricity per year is estimated at 3.27 million EUR and the estimated profit of solid-waste treatment amounts to 6 million EUR per year and（4） the gross profit per ton of solid waste totals 8 million EUR per year. The present article introduces the first stage of the PTP, in Makkah in the pilgrimage season, which consists of five stages：（1） study and treatment of waste streams,（2） slaughterhouse waste treatment,（3） treatment of refuse-derived fuel,（4）treatment of car tires and（5） treatment of slag（the fifth stage associated with each stage from the four previous stages）.

The present study examines the various techniques being used to maintain the integrity of the medical devices,and develops a quantitative framework to list these in the sequence of *** achieve the intended objective,the study employs the combined procedure of Fuzzy Analytic Network Process(ANP)and Fuzzy Technical for Order Preference by Similarities to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS).We selected fuzzy based decision making techniques for assessing the integrity of medical *** suggested methodology was then used for classifying the suitable techniques used to evaluate the integrity of medical *** techniques or the procedures of integrity assessment were ranked according to their satisfaction *** rating of the options determined the order of priority for the *** per the findings of the study,among all the options,A1 was assessed to be the most likely *** means that the integrity of medical devices of A2 is the highest amongst all the chosen *** analysis will be a corroborative guideline for manufacturers and developers to quantitatively test the integrity of medical devices in order to engineer efficacious *** evaluations undertaken with the assistance of the planned procedure are accurate and *** instead of conducting a manual valuation,this experimental study is a better and reliable option for assessing the integrity of the medical devices.

The lethality of inorganic arsenic(As)and the threat it poses have made the development of efficient As detection systems a vital *** research work demonstrates a sensing layer made of hydrous ferric oxide(Fe_(2)H_(2)O_(4))to detect As(Ⅲ)and As(Ⅴ)ions in a surface plasmon resonance *** sensor conceptualizes on the strength of Fe_(2)H_(2)O_(4) to absorb As ions and the interaction of plasmon resonance towards the changes occurring on the sensing *** sensitivity values for As(Ⅲ)and As(Ⅴ)were 1.083°·ppb^(–1) and 0.922°·ppb^(-1),respectively,while the limit of detection for both ions was 0.6 *** findings support the feasibility and potential of the sensor configuration towards paving future advancement in As detection systems.

This article aims to provide an analysis for a time series data of gross domestic product (GDP) of the Sudan. An econometric time series model with macroeconomic variables is conducted. Since a non-stationary time series must be made stationary, some statistical tests are followed so that the time series become stationary series. After applying these tests, the time series became stationary and integrated of order I. Box-Jenkins procedure is used to determine ARMA. OLS is used to estimate the models parameters. Performances chosen ARIMA model are verified on the basis of classical statistical tests and forecasting. The model features are interpreted on the basis of standard measures of forecasting performance.

This study presents a new method for designing algorithm for a triplet lens with one or two elements that are made of a gradient index medium (GRIN). This method is based upon considering a well-known designed triplet lens (Cooke triplet lens) as a target lens for designing of the Hybrid Triplet Lens (HTL). Our design was based upon keeping the total optical path length for the axial ray fixed for each case of design. The results showed that several designs for the HTL have the same total powers of the target lens. These designs depend on the variation of the GRIN element parameter values and the order of the GRIN element position in the system. These HTL designs have been evaluated by considering several optical merit functions, i.e., the root mean square (RMS) spot radius, wave front error and the spherical aberration. To achieve the optimal design, these functions are compared for the target lens and the HTL designs through a wide range of field angles.

MIXED Oxide Nuclear fuel (MOX) contains both uranium and plutonium in oxidized form. It is important to calculate the nuclear decay heat due to the single thermal fission (fission due to 0.0235 eV neutron) for all fissile nuclei in the MOX fuels (U235, Pu239, and Pu241). These fissile nuclei are the main source of the decay heat in MOX fuel. Decay heat calculation of the weighted fissile material content in MOX fuel is also important. A numerical method was used in this work to calculate the concentrations of all fission products due to the individual thermal fission of the three fissile materials as a function of time N(t). The decay heat calculations for the three fissile materials are directly calculated using the summation method by knowing the different concentrations of fission products over time. The average decay heat of the MOX fuel in induced thermal fission is also concluded. The most influential nuclei in the decay heat were also identified. The method used has been validated by several comparisons before, but the new in this work is using the most recent Evaluated Nuclear Data Library ENDF/B-VIII.0. Calculations of decay heat show very common trends for a period of 107 sec after the fission burst of thermal fissions of individual fissile nuclei. Moreover, the code showed high capability in calculating the fission fragments inventories and decay heats due to the decay of fission fragments of 31 fissionable nuclei.
