Tropical calcific pancreatitis(TCP)is a form of chronic non-alcoholic pancreatitis initially reported in the developing parts of the tropical *** clinical phenotype of TCP has undergone marked changes since its first description in *** disease is now seen in relatively older people with less severe *** addition,there are varying reports on the proportion of cases presenting with imaging abnormalities like calcification,ductal dilation,and glandular *** progress has also been made in understanding the etiopathology of *** role of malnutrition and cassava toxicity in its pathogenesis is disproven and few studies have focused on the role of micronutrient deficiency and oxidative stress in the etiopathogenesis of *** evidence support an important role for genetic risk factors in *** studies have shown that,rather than mutations in trypsinogens,variants in serine protease inhibitor kazal type 1,cathepsin B,chymotrypsin C,cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator,and carboxypeptidase A1,predict risk of *** studies also provided evidence of mutational heterogeneity between TCP and chronic pancreatitis in Western *** current review summarizes recent advances that have implications in the understanding of the pathophysiology and thus,heterogeneity in genotype-phenotype correlations in TCP.

It is essential to predict the scour depth around bridge piers for hydraulic engineers involved in the economical design of bridge pier foundation. Conventional investigations have long been of the opinion that empirical scour prediction equations based on laboratory data over predict scour depths. In this article, the Back-Propagation Neural Network （BPN） was applied to predict the scour depth in order to overcome the problem of exclusive and the nonlinear relationships. The observations obtained from thirteen states in USA was verified by the present model. From the comparison with conventional experimental methods, it can be found that the scour depth around bridge piers can be efficiently predicted using the BPN.

佛性或如来藏(梵文tathagatagarbha)是佛教哲学体系和教义里一个具争议的核心内容。自古以来,"谁或什么具有佛性"、"佛性是怎样显现的",以及"佛性在佛教解脱论里起到怎样的作用"等问题在佛教实践中及佛学研讨里是一系列持续的论题。本文作者基于自己对佛教文献的解读希望表达三个有关佛性的论点。首先,佛性与其所谓的反面"众生"(sentience)是不分离的。第二,佛性不是一样具型的东西,或是某个过去的或隐藏的精神状态,而是一个当下的、持续的生命神识状态。第三,佛性在经文里是一类使用隐喻和譬喻的启发式(heuristic)辩术方式,其目的是激起佛教徒或任何对佛家哲学思想有兴致的人对自身的生命状态进行内在视觉上的观想作用。

Orally absorbable gold nanoparticles(AuNP)having cancer ablation therapy is strongly demanded to treat glioblastoma multiforme(GBM)for patients with its highest incidence ***,we develop a milk protein lactoferrin-conjugated AuNP for its oral absorption and targeting to the GBM through the interaction between lactoferrin(Lf)and lactoferrin receptor(LfR)that is highly expressed in the intestine,blood-brain barrier and *** stability and long circulation of AuNP,glutathione and polyethylene glycol(PEG)is introduced,which is called to *** Lf-PEG-AuNP are orally administered to orthotopic GBM-bearing mice,11-fold and 8-fold higher concentrations of AuNP are measured in bloodstreams and GBM in the brain,respectively,compared with ***,orally administered Lf-PEG-AuNP exhibit an outstanding temperature rise in GBM by irradiating laser and significantly reduce tumor ***,we suggest that the Lf-PEG-AuNP can fundamentally target GBM in the brain through oral absorption,and that its efficient photothermal therapy is possible.

An engineering application tool for prediction of the static equilibrium bay （ Beach Mod） is established to describe two bay shape formulas by use of the programming software ＂MATLAB＂ with a graphic user interface （ GUI）. The tool is user-friendly for engineering students for the design of beach shapes. This tool was tested through application on three types of beaches in Taiwan and Australia. By implementing the concept of Headland Control, the Beach Mod program allows users to draw a structure and create an ＇artificial headland. The results indicate that Beach Mod can efficiently forecast beach changes as well as MEPBAY, a competing software package, while boasting a better user interface.

Obesity triggers inflammatory responses in the microenvironment of white adipose tissue, resulting in chronic systemic inflammation and the subsequent development of non-communicable diseases, including type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, and breast cancer. Current therapy approaches for obesity-induced non-communicable diseases persist in prioritizing symptom remission while frequently overlooking the criticality of targeting and alleviating inflammation at its source. Accordingly, this review highlights the importance of the microenvironment of obese white adipose tissue and the promising potential of employing immunotherapy to target it as an effective therapeutic approach for non-communicable diseases induced by obesity. Additionally, this review discusses the challenges and offers perspective about the immunotherapy targeting the microenvironment of obese white adipose tissue.

is well known that a lot of studies have been conducted on the modernization of industrial and supply ***,scholars have not reached a consensus on the definition and dynamic mechanism of the improvement of the modernization level of industrial and supply chains *** paper clarifies the constituent factors of industrial and supply chains and defines the connotation of improvement of the modernization level of industrial and supply chains from the perspective of constituent subjects and structure according to the characteristics and requirements of the new ***,the paper proposes improving the modernization level of industrial and supply chains aiming to make it more adaptable to the requirements of Chinese development in a new stage,the increasing instability and uncertainty in the international environment,and a new round of technological *** this end,the improvement of the modernization level of industrial and supply chains should embrace the further enhancement of the following dimensions:innovation capability,added value,sustainability,digitalization,safety and reliability,fairness,and smooth *** on the analysis of the upgrade types of the existing industrial and supply chains,this paper distinguishes the factors driving the improvement of the modernization level of industrial and supply chains from a basic *** proposes four basic dynamic mechanisms,namely,final demand,factor supply,regional industrial cluster,and integration into the global industrial division ***,the paper analyzes the working way of the four dynamic mechanisms and the main constraints they face,and based on this,put forward a path to break through the constraints.

Global change research in Russia＇s protected areas Mountains and highlands occupy more than 50 % of the territory of the Russian Federation. In 2005, Russia had 36 Biosphere Reserves （BRs）, of which 15 are Mountain Biosphere Reserves （MBRs）. The MBRs represent different environmental and economic zones of Northern Eurasia; they lie far apart from one another （Figure 1）. Laplandskiy MBR on the Kola Peninsula （No 1） is an example of a reserve located in the arctic belt and affected by the mining industry, while Kavkazskiy MBR （No 2）, 25oo km further south and located on the border with Georgia, represents eastern Mediterranean ecoregional features.

AIM:To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of cinnamon extract and elucidate its mechanisms for targeting the function of antigen presenting ***:Cinnamon extract was used to treat murine macrophage cell line(Raw 264.7),mouse primary antigen-presenting cells(APCs,MHCII+) and Cd11c+dendritic cells to analyze the effects of cinnamon extract on APC *** mechanisms of action of cinnamon extract on APCs were investigated by analyzing cytokine production,and expression of MHC antigens and co-stimulatory molecules by quantitative real-time PCR and flow *** addition,the effect of cinnamon extract on antigen presentation capacity and APC-dependent T-cell differentiation were analyzed by [H3]-thymidine incorporation and cytokine analysis,*** confirm the anti-inflammatory effects of cinnamon extract in vivo,cinnamon or PBS was orally administered to mice for 20 d followed by induction of experimental colitis with 2,4,6 trinitrobenzenesulfonic *** protective effects of cinnamon extract against experimental colitis were measured by checking clinical symptoms,histological analysis and cytokine expression prof iles in inflamed ***:Treatment with cinnamon extract inhibited maturation of MHCII+ APCs or Cd11c+ dendritic cells(dCs) by suppressing expression of co-stimulatory molecules(B7.1,B7.2,ICOS-L),MHCII and cyclooxygenase(COX)-*** extract induced regulatory dCs(rdCs) that produce low levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines [interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,IL-12,interferon(IFN)-γ and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α] while expressing high levels of immunoregulatory cytokines(IL-10 and transforming growth factor-β).In addition,rdCs generated by cinnamon extract inhibited APC-dependent T-cell proliferation,and converted Cd4+ T cells into IL-10high Cd4+ T ***,oral administration of cinnamon extract inhibited development and progression of intestinal colitis by inhibiting expression of COX-2 and pro-inflammatory cytokin
