We have rep.rted the characteristics o. a Z-scan fo. the p.ly(azaneylylidene-acylene)(DAZA) p.lymer, as no.linear medium with a large no.linear p.ase shift using co.tinuo.s-wave(CW) laser beam. It has been verified that the Fresnel diffractio. mo.el is ap.licable fo. analyses o. Z-scan measurements with DAZA p.lymer at high laser p.wer. It was fo.nd that Z-scan curves with p.ak-to.valley features ap.ear as the ap.lied light intensity increases in the case o. a large no.linear p.ase shift. The Z-scan exp.riments were carried o.t using a CW laser to.verify the theo.etical calculatio.s in the case o. a large no.linear p.ase shift mo.el. o.r results sho. go.d agreements between the exp.rimental data and the p.o.0}sed theo.etical mo.els.
