Lightweight and polarized self-attention mechanism for abnormal morphology classification algorithm during traditional chinese medicine inspection

Objective To propose a Light-Atten-Pose-based algorithm for classifying abnormal morphol-ogy in traditional chinese medicine(TCM)inspection to solve the problem of relying on manual labor or expensive equipment with personal subjectivity or high *** First,this paper establishes a dataset of abnormal morphology for chinese medi-cine diagnosis,with images from public resources and labeled with category labels by several chinese medicine experts,including three categories:normal,shoulder abnormality,and leg ***,the key points of human body are extracted by Light-Atten-Pose ***-Atten-Pose algorithm uses lightweight EfficientNet network and polarized self-attention(PSA)mechanism on the basis of AlphaPose,which reduces the computation amount by using EfficientNet network,and the data is finely processed by using PSA mecha-nism in spatial and channel ***,according to the theory of TCM inspection,the abnormal morphology standard based on the joint angle difference is defined,and the classification of abnormal morphology of chinese medical diagnosis is realized by calculat-ing the angle between key ***,frames per second(FPS),model size,parameter set(Params),and giga floating-point operations per second(GFLOPs)are chosen as the eval-uation indexes for *** Validation of the Light-Atten-Pose algorithm on the dataset showed a classification accuracy of 96.23%,which is close to the original AlphaPose ***,the FPS of the improved model reaches 41.6 fps from 16.5 fps,the model size is reduced from 155.11 MB to 33.67 MB,the Params decreases from 40.5 M to 8.6 M,and the GFLOPs reduces from 11.93 to *** The Light-Atten-Pose algorithm achieves lightweight while maintaining high ro-bustness,resulting in lower complexity and resource consumption and higher classification accuracy,and the experiments prove that the Light-Atten-Pose algorithm has a better overall performance and has prac

OBJECTIVE: To present and analyze treatmentsand clinical outcomes of chinese patients with influenza-like ***: We conducted a multi-site observational study from December 2009 to April 2010. Patients with influenza-like illness from 45 hospitals were enrolled. Patients received chinese herbal medicine(CHM), conventional treatments, or CHM plus conventional treatments(combination treatment) according to the guidelines for influenza A/H1 N1 2009 in China. The primary outcomes were the time to alleviation of symptoms and the incidence of complications. The secondary outcomes were the time until becoming afebrile, incidence of severe illness, testing negative on an influenza A viral test, and total medical ***: In total, 5967 patients were enrolled. The percentages of patients prescribed CHM alone, conventional treatment, and combination treatment were 27.8%, 5.1%, and 67.7%, respectively. There were no significant differences in the time to alleviation of symptoms, incidence of complications,time to becoming afebrile, or rate of severe illness among the CHM, conventional, and combination treatment groups. The rates of testing negative on the influenza virus A rapid test and H1 N1 virus test were 90.3% and 76.3%, respectively. However,significant differences were found in the total medical fees among the three groups: CHM treatments were more economical than the other two ***: The efficacy of CHM for influenza-like illness was not different from that of conventional treatments, but it was more economical.

Inhibition of TNF-alpha secretion from peripheral bloodmonocular cells by triptolid is associated with TNF-alpha-308gene polymorphisms in rheumatoid arthritis patients

This study examined the inhibitory effect of triptolid(TP)on tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)secreted from peripheral blood monocular cells(PBMCs)and the association of the inhibitory effect with TNF-α-308 gene polymorphisms in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)*** polymorphism at A-G site 308 in the promoter region of TNF-αgene was detected in 42 RA patients by using allele speciﬁc polymerase chain reaction(AS-PCR)*** were harvested from these patients and treatedﬁrst with lipopolysaccharides(LPS)and then with different doses of TP(1,5.4 and 15 ng/mL).The TNF-αlevel in the supernatants was measured by enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay(ELISA).The results showed that TNF-αlevel in the supernatants of TP(1 ng/mL)-treated PBMCs was decreased by 3.80%and 4.91%,respectively,in the patients with AA and AG genotypes,when compared with those treated with LPS alone(P>0.05).Moreover,the TNF-αlevel in the patients with GG genotype was reduced by 20.74%(P0.05).It was concluded that gene polymorphism at TNF-α-308 sites may relate to the secretion of TNF-αin RA *** has different inhibitory effects on the secretion of TNF-αin the patients harboring different genotypes,which may be one of the reasons for individual variation in response to TP.

Metabolic syndrome(Met S)has been a growing public health concern worldwide without specific *** summarizing the chemical structure type and effect mechanisms of natural products targeted on farnesoid X receptor(FXR),to provide the research basis for exploring the treatment of Met *** following databases were searched for natural products which targeting FXR:Pub Med,Embase,the Cochrane Library,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database,and chinese Biomedical Literature *** 120 natural products were summarized,including terpenoids(51 compounds),steroidal saponins(27 compounds),phenylpropanolds(19 compounds),flavonoids(13 compounds),alkaloids(3 compounds)and others(7 compounds),most researches focus on terpenoids and part of synthetic FXR regulators were based on the structure of *** regulators could improve cholestasis and liver injury,hyperlipidemia,diabetes and *** is a potential target of treating Met *** products are characteristics with unique novel structures and special biological activity,and they are important sources of bioactive precursor compounds and drug *** the effects and mechanism of natural products and its derivative on Met S by targeting FXR may be a new way to develop the new drugs of treating Met S.

Progress of research on massage therapy for sub-health conditions

Sub-health state is a kind of low-quality state between health and disease, and will lead to disease if not intervened in time. As one of the external treatment options in traditional chinese medicine (TCM), massage therapy has achieved an ideal curative effect in the treatment of the sub-health state. This paper summarizes the articles on massage treatment for the treatment of patients in the sub-health state from the past decade. It mainly includes the current understanding of sub-health, treatment ideas and specific methods, as well as clinical classification of treatment modalities. From the perspective of treatment ideas and specific methods, most massage therapies are performed under the guidance of the holistic concept of TCM, and the concept of treatment based on syndrome differentiation (four diagnostic methods of TCM: inspection, auscultation, inquiry, and palpation). In this treatment, not only are the therapeutic functions of meridians and acupoints emphasized, but the selection of the therapeutic time is also performed according to the "Ziwuliuzhu" and the "Lingguibafa"(the acupuncture method based on time in ancient China). According to the different clinical symptoms of sub-health, it can be divided into three types: physical sub-health, psychological sub-health, and social adaptive sub-health. Massage therapy eliminates pain, relieves physical fatigue, and has a good therapeutic effect on physical sub-health. It can alleviate anxiety and depression, promote psychosomatic pleasure of patients, and has a satisfactory regulatory effect on the psychological sub-health symptoms. However, basic research on using modern medical theories and the means to explain its mechanism of action is relatively weak. Therefore, only constantly improving the quality of clinical observation and strengthening basic research can provide more and better evidence for the clinical application of massage therapy in treating the symptoms of the sub-health status.

Panax Notoginseng Saponins Inhibits Atherosclerotic Plaque Angiogenesis by Down-Regulating Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate Oxidase Subunit 4 Expression

Objective： To investigate the mechanism of Panax notoginseng saponins （PNS）, an effective component extracted from Panax notoginseng, on atherosclerotic plaque angiogenesis in atherosclerosis-prone apolipoprotein E-knockout （ApoE-KO） mice fed with high-fat, high-cholesterol diet. Methods： Twenty ApoE-KO mice were divided into two groups, the model group and the PNS group. Ten normal C57BL/6J mice were used as a control group. PNS （60 mg/kg） was orally administered daily for 12 weeks in the PNS group, The ratio of plaque area to vessel area was examined by histological staining. The tissue sample of aortic root was used to detect the CD34 and vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） expression areas by immunohistochemistry. The expression of VEGF and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase subunit 4 （NOX4） were measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Westem blotting respectively. Results： After treatment with PNS, the plaque areas were decreased （P〈0.05）. CD34 expressing areas and VEGF expression areas in plaques were significantly decreased （P〈0.05）. Meanwhile, VEGF and NOX4 mRNA expression were decreased after treatment with PNS, VEGF and NOX4 protein expression were also decreased by about 72% and 63%, respectively （P〈0.01）. Conclusion： PNS, which decreases VEGF and NOX4 expression, could alleviate plaque angiogenesis and attenuate atherosclerosis.

Identification and differentiation of major components in three different “Sheng-ma” crude drug species by UPLC/Q-TOF-MS

Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Sheng ma) is a Ranunculaceae herb belonging to a composite family and well known in China. has been widely used in traditional chinese medicine. The Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China contains three varieties (Cimicifuga dahurica (Turcz.), Cimicifuga foetida L. and Cimicifuga heracleifolia Kom.) which have been used clinically as 'Sheng-ma'. However, the chemical constituents of three components of 'Sheng-ma' have never been documented. hi this study, a rapid method for the analysis of the main components of 'Sheng-ma' was developed using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC/Q-TOF-MS). The present study reveals the major common and distinct chemical constituents of C. dahurica, C. foetida and C. heracleifolia and also reports principal component and statistical analyses of these results. The components were identified by comparing the retention time, accurate mass, mass spectrometric fragmentation characteristic ions and matching empirical molecular formula with that of the published compounds. A total of 32 common components and 8 markers for different 'Sheng-ma' components were identified. These findings provide an important basis for the further study and clinical utilities of the three 'Sheng-ma' varieties.
