Appropriate use of antibiotics remains critical for success in achieving MDG4. The aim of this study was to investigate antibiotics prescribing practices to febrile under-five children outpatients in urban public health services in a low income country. Methods: From March to April 2013, a cross-sectional epidemiological study of care facilities visit by under-five age, for febrile illness, was carried out in urban health services in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Patient demographics, diagnoses and medications were recorded. We calculated for each diagnoses several indicators for antibiotics use. Results: Our study showed an over-prescription of antibiotics at the university teaching hospital (78.08%) and at the first level facilities (57.71%) for under-five outpatients for febrile illness. There was evidence of high antibiotic prescription in children with diarrhea (more than 9 on 10 at university teaching hospital of diarrhea cases and 60% at the first level facilities), in children with Upper respiratory tract infections (respectively 60% and 85.2% of cases at university teaching hospital and at the first level facilities) and in children with malaria (respectively 47.5% and 17.6% of cases at university teaching hospital and at the first level facilities). Overuse, misuse and inappropriately prescribed antibiotic coexisted in our results: at university teaching hospital 90.9% of diarrhea cases, 60% of URTI cases,?47.5% of malaria cases received antibiotic prescription;at first level heath care facilities 85.2% of URTI, 17.6% of malaria cases received an prescribed antibiotic and 11.8% of LRTI did not received a prescribed antibiotic. Developing countries have poor access to newer antibiotics and irrational antibiotics use remains a global problem. Objective:Liver cirrhosis is a disease that seriously damages human *** Chinese Medicine(TCM)formulae have a good therapeutic effect on cirrhosis,and the herb pair is the smallest unit in formula compatibility,which is important for improving the therapeutic ***,identifying core herb pairs among TCM formulae is ***:We mined the data of TCM formulae for the treatment of cirrhosis in the China National Intellectual Property Administration for the first time and analyzed their herb characteristics and association *** screened 405 patented TCM formulae,including 953 *** on frequency statistics and association rules,we determined“Astragali Radix-Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma”as the core herb ***:Six active compounds,Isorhamnetin,Formononetin,Calycosin,Cryptotanshinone,Dihydrotanshinone I,and Tanshinone II A,were screened out based on previous studies and network *** found that SRC,TP53,HSP90AA1,MAPK3,MAPK1,and STAT3 played pivotal roles in treating ***,molecular docking indicated that MAPK3 might be a potential pharmacological target for ***:We preliminarily predicted and verified the pharmacological and molecular mechanism of“Astragali Radix-Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma”in treating *** can expand the scope of TCM in the treatment of cirrhosis,guide people to use clinical formulae,and provide valuable insights for further drug discovery studies.

Background Remdesivir is being studied and used to treat coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).This study aimed to systematically identify,critically evaluate,and summarize the findings of the studies on the cost-effectiveness of remdesivir in the treatment of hospitalized patients with *** In this systematic review,PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,SCOPUS,and the Cochrane Library were searched for studies published between 2019 and *** included all full economic evaluations of remdesivir for the treatment of hospitalized patients with *** were summarized in a structured and narrative *** Out of 616 articles obtained in this literature search,12 studies were included in the final *** mean score of the Quality of Health Economic Studies(QHES)for the studies was 87.66(high quality).All studies were conducted in high-income countries(eight studies in the USA and one study in England),except for three studies from middle-to-high-income countries(China,South Africa,and Turkey).Six studies conducted their economic analysis in terms of a health system perspective;five studies conducted their economic analysis from a payer perspective;three studies from the perspective of a health care *** results of five studies showed that remdesivir was cost-effective compared to standard ***,the therapeutic strategy of combining remdesivir with baricitinib was cost-effective compared to remdesivir *** Based on the results of the present study,remdesivir appears to be cost-effective in comparison with the standard of care in China,Turkey,and South *** conducted in the united States show conflicting results,and combining remdesivir with baricitinib is cost-effective compared with remdesivir ***,the cost-effectiveness of remdesivir in low-income countries remains ***,more studies in different countries are required to determine the cost-effectiveness of this drug.

Objective:Moxibustion has been widely used in the prevention and treatment of ***,there is no systematic review of current topics and clinical findings on moxibustion for *** conducted this scoping review to systematically summarize and analyze the themes and findings of published articles,and to provide an overview of current knowledge and practice of moxibustion for ***:PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,SinoMed,Wan Fang Data,and VIP databases were searched from inception until April *** relevant data were presented through bar graphs,structured tables,and figures along with descriptive statistics and *** scoping review was conducted based on the PRISMA-ScR ***:A total of 76 articles were reviewed:47 reviews,19 clinical research studies,seven systematic reviews(all were protocols),and three *** the studies were conducted by Chinese researchers and published from January 1,2020 to March 14,*** feasibility of moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of mild or moderate COVID-19 is based on the consensus of therapeutic mechanisms and *** most adopted approach was the suspended and gentle moxibustion,and the most frequently applied or recommended acupoints were found to be ST36,CV8,CV6,CV4,CV12,GV14,BL13,LI4,ST25,and ***:As a convenient and safe traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)therapy with its specific feature,moxibustion has been significantly effective at ameliorating mild or moderate symptoms among COVID-19 *** large-scale,welldesigned research and international cooperation are still warranted in clinical evaluations of moxibustion.

A Broad Spectrum Identification Approach for Two Generations of epsps GM Soybeans

In order to accurately identify the first and second generations of epsps genetically modified(GM) soybeans and related products,a broad spectrum identification approach was established using the real time Polymerase Chain Reaction(PCR) principle according to the homology of epsps genes of the first and second generations of GM soybeans.A pair of primer and probe was designed to simultaneously identify exogenous gene epsps of two generations of GM ***,evaluation was carried out on this approach from the accuracy,specificity,sensitivity and *** experimental results indicated that(ⅰ) although there is certain difference in epsps gene sequence between the first and second generations of epsps genetically modified(GM) soybeans,the established approach can simultaneously detect the epsps genes of the bean curd using two generations of soybean as raw materials;(ⅱ) in the accuracy and specificity experiment,only cp4-epsps genes of two generations of GM soybeans were detected,so this approach has high specificity and accuracy;(ⅲ) in the experiment of 5 copies of epsps genes of 40 repeated identification reaction systems,5 copies of epsps genes can be detected each time,therefore at 100% confidence level,this approach can identify 5 copies of epsps genes,showing that this approach has high sensitivity and reproducibility.

系统性红斑狼疮(systemic lupus erythematosus,SLE)是一种发病机制不明、临床表型异质性大的自身免疫性疾病。目前已有的SLE血清生物标志物灵敏度或特异性有限,使得SLE的早期精准诊断存在困难。在本研究中,通过对389例SLE患者及304例健康对照者进行深入的糖组学分析,鉴定出血清免疫球蛋白G(IgG)上的两种N-糖链能够作为SLE的诊断生物标志物。在其他易与SLE混淆的系统性自身免疫性疾病(如类风湿性关节炎、原发性干燥综合征或系统性硬化症)中,这两种生物标志物没有出现显著变化,提示这两种N-糖链生物标志物对诊断SLE具有特异性。值得注意的是,这两种N-糖链生物标志物被证明是自身抗体非依赖性的,并且适用于所有阶段的SLE患者。基于片段特异性糖链分析和糖肽分析,发现这两种N-糖链生物标志物位于IgG上的Fc区域,并与疾病活动性密切相关。而酶学分析结果则提示,SLE患者体内一系列糖转移酶的失调可能是观察到的糖链产生变化的原因。研究结果为基于血清IgG糖基化的高效人群筛查和SLE潜在的新致病因素提供了新的思路。
