If a person comes into contact with pathogens on public facilities,there is a threat of contact(skin/wound)*** urgently,there are also reports about COVID-19 coronavirus contact infection,which once again reminds that contact infection is a very easily overlooked disease exposure ***,we propose an innovative implantation strategy to fabricate a multi-walled carbon nanotube/polyvinyl alcohol(MWCNT/PVA,MCP)interpenetrating interface to achieve flexibility,anti-damage,and non-contact sensing electronic skin(E-skin).Interestingly,the MCP E-skin had a fascinating non-contact sensing function,which can respond to the finger approaching 0−20 mm through the spatial weak *** non-contact sensing can be applied urgently to human–machine interactions in public facilities to block *** scratches of the fruit knife did not damage the MCP E-skin,and can resist chemical corrosion after hydrophobic *** addition,the MCP E-skin was developed to real-time monitor the respiratory and cough for exercise detection and disease ***,the MCP E-skin has great potential for emergency applications in times of infectious disease pandemics.

RNA interference （RNAi） of vital insect genes is a potential tool for targeted pest control. However, selection of the right target genes is a challenge because the RNAi efficacy is known to vary among insect species. Cotton mealybug, Phenacoccus solenopsis, is a phloem-feeding economically important crop pest. We evaluated the RNAi of 2 vital genes, Bursicon （PsBur） and V-ATPase （Ps V-ATPase） as potential targets in P. solenopsis for its control. PCR fragments of PsBur and PsV-ATPase were amplified using cDNA synthesized from the total RNA. The PCR amplicons were cloned into Potato virus X （PVX） to develop recombinant PVX for the inoculation ofNicotiana tabacum plants for bioassays with healthy P. solenopsis. Reverse-transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT- PCR） was used to validate the expression oftransgenes in the recombinant-PVX-inoculated plants （treated）, and suppression of the target genes in the mealybugs exposed to them. The RT-PCR confirmed the expression of transgenes in the treated plants. Mealybug individuals on treated plants either died or showed physical deformities. Further, the population of mealybug was significantly reduced by feeding on N. tabacum expressing RNAi triggers against PsBur and Ps V-A TPase. The results conclude that RNAi is activated in P. solenopsis by feeding on N. tabacum expressing RNAi triggering elements of PsBur and Ps V-ATPase genes through recombinant PVX vector. Further, V-ATPase and Bursicon genes are potential targets for RNAi-mediated control ofP. solenopsis.

Evaluation of blocky or layered rock slopes against toppling failures has remained of great concern for engineers in various rock mechanics *** step-by-step analytical solutions have been developed for analyzing these types of slope ***,manual application of these analytical solutions for real case studies can be time-consuming,complicated,and in certain cases even *** study will first examine existing methods for toppling failure analyses that are reviewed,modified and generalized to consider the effects of a wide range of external and dead loads on slope ***,based on the generalized presented formulae,a Windows form computer code is programmed using Visual C#for analysis of common types of toppling *** parameters,including slope geometry,joint sets parameters,rock and soil properties,ground water level,dynamic loads,support anchor loads as well as magnitudes and forms of external forces,are first loaded into the *** input data are then saved and used to graphically draw the slope *** is followed by automatic identification of the toppling failure mode and a deterministic analysis of the slope stability against this failure *** results are presented using a graphical *** developed code allows probabilistic introduction of the input parameters via probability distribution functions(PDFs)and thus a probabilistic analysis of the toppling failure modes using Monte-Carlo simulation *** allows calculation of the probability of slope ***,several published case studies and typical examples are analyzed with the developed *** outcomes are compared with those of the main references to assess the performance and robustness of the developed computer *** comparisons demonstrate good agreement between the results.

To the Editor:Colorectal cancer(CRC)remains a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide.[1]In addition to the classical adenoma-to-carcinoma model of colorectal carcinogenesis,the serrated neoplastic pathway accounts for 20%–30%of *** serrated lesions(SSLs),the most common premalignant serrated polyp subtype,share many of the genomic characteristics of post-colonoscopy CRCs and are thus recognized as their precursor ***,SSLs can be easily missed due to their flat shape and subtle endoscopic *** they can also be difficult to distinguish from other types of polyps,especially hyperplastic polyps(HPs),which are believed to have no malignant potential.[2]Approximately 10%of polyps initially diagnosed as HPs endoscopically are reclassified as SSLs after histopathological examination,reflecting diagnostic difficulties in colonoscopy.[3,4]Current guidelines recommend“diagnose-and-leave”and“resect-and-discard”strategies for diminutive polyps,which might lead to SSLs being left in situ or diagnoses being missed,[5]raising the risk of recurrence and post-colonoscopy ***,it remains debatable in the gastrointestinal community whether the risks of resecting SSLs outweigh the reduction in cancer *** strategy that improves the diagnostic accuracy of SSLs could have a meaningful clinical impact.

A systematic fuzzy approach is developed to model fuzziness and uncertainties in the preferences of decision makers involved in a conflict. This unique fuzzy preference formulation is used within the paradigm of the Graph Model for Conflict Resolution in which a given dispute is modeled in terms of decision makers, each decision maker＇s courses of actions or options, and each decision maker＇s preferences concerning the states or outcomes which could take place. In order to be able to determine the stability of each state for each decision maker and the possible equilibria or resolutions, a range of solution concepts describing potential human behavior under conflict are defined for use with fuzzy preferences. More specifically, strong and weak definitions of stability are provided for the solution concepts called Nash, general metarational, symmetric metarational, and sequential stability. To illustrate how these solution concepts can be conveniently used in practice, they are applied to a dispute over the contamination of an aquifer by a chemical company located in Elmira, ontario, Canada.

Kinematics and Dynamics of Deployable Structures with Scissor-Like-Elements Based on Screw Theory

Because the deployable structures are complex multi-loop structures and methods of derivation which lead to simpler kinematic and dynamic equations of motion are the subject of research effort, the kinematics and dynamics of deployable structures with scissor-like-elements are presented based on screw theory and the principle of virtual work respectively. According to the geometric characteristic of the deployable structure examined, the basic structural unit is the common scissor-like-element（SLE）. First, a spatial deployable structure, comprised of three SLEs, is defined, and the constraint topology graph is obtained. The equations of motion are then derived based on screw theory and the geometric nature of scissor elements. Second, to develop the dynamics of the whole deployable structure, the local coordinates of the SLEs and the Jacobian matrices of the center of mass of the deployable structure are derived. Then, the equivalent forces are assembled and added in the equations of motion based on the principle of virtual work. Finally, dynamic behavior and unfolded process of the deployable structure are simulated. Its figures of velocity, acceleration and input torque are obtained based on the simulate results. Screw theory not only provides an efficient solution formulation and theory guidance for complex multi-closed loop deployable structures, but also extends the method to solve dynamics of deployable structures. As an efficient mathematical tool, the simper equations of motion are derived based on screw theory.

Chaotic Behavior of a Brownian Particle in a Periodic Potential

The classical deterministic dynamics of a Brownian particle with a time-dependent periodic perturbation in a spatially periodic potential is investigated. We have constructed a perturbed chaotic solution near the heteroclinic orbit of the nonlinear dynamics system by using the Constant-Variation method. Theoretical analysis and numerical result show that the motion of the Brownian particle is a kind of chaotic motion. The corresponding chaotic region in parameter space is obtained analytically and numerically.

To elucidate the differential gene expression patterns in soybeans during infection by Phytophthora sojae,a cDNA library for suppression subtractive hybridization （SSH） was constructed with cDNAs from soybean cultivar Suinong 10 treated with sterile distilled water as the driver and cDNAs from Suinong 10 inoculated with *** as the tester.A total of 2 067 recombinant colonies from the SSH library were randomly picked,amplified,and *** discarding 312 poor quality expressed sequence tags （EST）,1 755 high quality ESTs were assembled and edited to 1 384 tentatively unique genes （TUG）,in which,586 showed significant homology to known sequences,and 798 had low homology or no match with the known sequences.A cDNA microarray containing 307 singletons from the 586 TUGs and 222 singletons from the 798 TUGs was developed to characterize differentially expressed cDNAs in the SSH library,and eight cDNAs were identified to be up-regulated after microarray analysis and then confirmed by real-time *** were homologous to the protein 10,and were also related to some proteins in disease resistance response,such as pathogen-related protein,phenylalanine ammonia-lyase,isoflavone reductase,WRKY transcription factor 31,major allergen Pru ar 1,and pleiotropic drug resistance protein *** of the up-regulated cDNAs encode enzymes of phytoalexin biosynthesis and pathogenesis-related proteins involved in plant disease ***,we fist reported the Pru ar 1 in *** findings of this research have contributed to better understanding of soybean resistance to *** at the molecular level.
