The Influence of Opportunism on the Cooperation Modes of Carbon Emission Reduction

Investment and technology cooperation has become prevalent among manufacturers for reducing carbon ***,the success and sustainability of such cooperation can be restrained by firm *** study investigates the impact of three different cooperation modes(CER investment cooperation,information sharing cooperation,and comprehensive cooperation)on manufacturers’efforts for carbon emission reduction(CER).We also analyze how opportunism in key resources input affects the CER cooperation,and explore the influence of carbon tax and consumer environmental awareness(CEA)on opportunistic *** results show that 1)Manufacturers engaged in cooperation will increase their profits,but may not necessarily lessen carbon emission,which is related to the intensity of market competition.2)The optimal mode for manufacturers is comprehensive cooperation,followed by information sharing cooperation,and then is CER investment cooperation.3)Opportunism is not necessarily detrimental to CER.4)In the comprehensive cooperation mode,the impact of opportunism to the co-operative manufacturer is hierarchical,and whether the cooperation continues depends on the intensity of market competition.5)CEA will encourage the opportunism,while the effect of carbon tax on opportunistic motivation is related to the market size.

Myanmar is located in Southeast Asia within the Mekong River Basin. The estimated annual surface and groundwater potentials are 1 081 km^3 and 494 km^3, respectively. Based on geological conditions, 11 different types of aquifers have been classified in Myanmar. The recent alluvial formation, Irrawaddy formation, Upper Pegu Group and Plateau limestone formation are the major water-bearing geologic formations of the country. In Myanmar, 89% of the groundwater is used for agriculture, approximately 8% is used for domestic consumption, and 3% is used for industrial purposes. Climate change projections for Myanmar from 2001 to 2100 predict general increases in temperature, clear-sky days, rainfall variability and flooding risks and a greater occurrence and intensity of extreme weather events across the country. Additional technology and investments are required to achieve groundwater resource security in response to climate changes. In addition, methods of ensuring the sustainability of groundwater resources must be implemented via collaborations with other countries and international sources.

Financial regulation and supervision is an important subject in finance research. After the U. S. subprime mortgage crisis,the weakness in this field becomes the research focus. Every country attaches importance to strengthen the financial supervision and management. But the financial regulatory system is a large system,and the process of model building and index selection is very complicated. A model for China's financial regulation and supervision system was proposed and a system evaluation method was improved. A more exact result was drawn by choosing 2003- 2009 index data.

In this editorial we comment on the article by Cahn-Hidalgo D published in a recent issue of the World Journal of Psychiatry 2020;10(1);*** focus on the importance of utilizing psychometrically valid cognitive screening tools when assessing for cognitive decline in older adults in a psychiatric outpatient *** compared the use of Cognivue®to use of the montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)as a cognitive screening tool.A total of 58 patients aged 55 and over participated in this comparison *** completed cognitive screening on Cognivue®,a new Food and Drug Administration-cleared computer screening device,and the *** results of patient performance using these two instruments were ***(28%)patients screened negative for cognitive impairment on both ***-two(72%)patients screened positive on one or both of the *** was 43%agreement between Cognivue®and the MoCA in identifying patients with cognitive impairment,and individual subtests were weakly *** MoCA was determined to be the preferred instrument due to its high sensitivity and specificity(100%and 87%,respectively)when screening for cognitive *** propose that the use of Cognivue®cognitive screening tool be closely reviewed until more research proves that the test meets the standards for reliability and *** is important for clinicians to remember that screeners should not be used to diagnosis patients with neurocognitive disorders;instead,they should be used to determine whether further evaluation is ***,misdiagnosing of neurocognitive disorders can pose unnecessary psychological and emotional harm to patients and their families and also lead to incorrect treatment and undue healthcare costs.

Use of Human Excreta as Manure in Rural China

Software defect prediction could improve the reliability of software and reduce development costs. Traditional prediction models usually have a lower prediction accuracy. In order to solve this problem, a new model for software defect prediction using Particle Swarm Optimization（PSO） and Support Vector Machine（SVM） named P-SVM model is proposed in this paper, which takes advantage of non-linear computing capability of SVM and parameters optimization capability of PSO. Firstly, P-SVM model uses PSO algorithm to calculate the best parameters of SVM, and then it adoptes the optimized SVM model to predict software defect. P-SVM model and other three different prediction models are used to predict the software defects in JM1 data set as an experiment, the results show that P-SVM model has a higher prediction accuracy than BP Neural Network model, SVM model, GA-SVM model.

Empirical research has shown that the use of manure significantly improves crop yield, soil fertility and water and moisture conservation. Despite these documented benefits, however, there is a concern on the downward trend of manure use in agriculture in China. This paper examines factors contributing to this downward trend, with a particular focus on human excreta used in agriculture. Empirical analysis based on data from stratified random sampling of rural households in five provinces of China shows that about 85% of human excreta was still used as manure in agriculture in 2007 which was less than a decade ago when nearly all human excreta was used as manure. Econometric results suggest that income growth, rising population density and improvement in rural transportation significantly contribute to declining use of human excreta as manure in agriculture. These results imply that the current downward trend will continue given China＇s rising economic growth, urbanization and rural infrastructural improvement.
