The Effectiveness of Treatment Training for Children with Acute Respiratory Tract Infection to Mothers of Toddlers in Bandung Indonesian

Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARTI) remains a health problem for toddlers in Indonesia and the leading cause of death for toddlers. In addition to causing health problems, ARTI can also cause death. Indonesia, as one of the countries signing of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), is required to be able to reduce toddler mortality rate. The research intends to find the effectiveness of treatment training for children with ARTI in increasing the knowledge, attitude, and skill of mothers of toddlers in the working area of Community health Centre Sukajadi, Bandung. It employed a quasiexperimental method with the pre-posttest two group designs. The sample, taken with the random sampling technique, consisted of 26 mothers of toddlers for the control and intervention groups, respectively. For the intervention group, the treatment training for children with ARTI was given for 4 - 5 hours in one day, and the control group was only given a conventional extension program for 15 minutes. The knowledge, attitudes, and skills before and after intervention were measured three days after the training using the same instrument used during the pretest. The results of this research show that in terms of the effectiveness of the training using modules, there were differences in the average scores for knowledge with p value (0.030 ≤ α (0.05), for the aspect of attitudes with p value (0.046) ≤ α (0.05), and for the sub-variable of skills as proven by the p value of (0.046) ≤ α (0.05). Based on these results, the intervention of ARTI treatment training at home had significant effect on the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of the toddlers’ mothers. With this inference, it is recommended that the research results can be made a topic of study for the development of a training model or standardized training guidelines that will be used by health officers at Community health Centre Sukajadi, Bandung City Indonesian.

Active Learning Improves nursing Student Clinical Performance in an Academic Institution in Macao

Objective： To assess the outcome of the application of active learning during practicum among nursing students using clinical assessment and evaluation scores as a measurement. Methods： nursing students were instructed on the basics of active learning prior to the initiation of their clinical experience. The participants were divided into 5groups of nursing students （ n = 56） across three levels （years 2-4） in a public academic institute of a bachelor degree program in Macao. Final clinical evaluation was averaged and compared between groups with and without intervention. Results： These nursing students were given higher appraisals in verbal and written comments than previous students without interventian. The groups with the invention achieved higher clinical assessment and evaluation scores on average than comparable groups without the active learning intervention. One group of sophomore nursing students （year 2） did not receive as high of evaluations as the other groups, receiving an average score of above 80. Conclusions＂ nursing students must engage in active learning to demonstrate that they are willing to gain knowledge of theory, nursing skills and communication skills during the clinical practicum.

Background and aims:Associate degree nursing students as future nurses must have the competency to perform IMCI(Integrated Management of Childhood Illness)which can be achieved by incorporating IMCI learning during the college *** the IMCI learning for associate degree in nursing program in aceh is still conducted conventionally which takes two meetings of a hundred minutes with IMCI chart as the only taught *** of the students obtain IMCI practical study experience at public health centers while others do not have any ***,there needs to be a model of IMCI learning integration into a course,and that is pediatrics nursing ***,the aimed this study was to identify the model of IMCI learning integration into the pediatrics nursing ***:The design of the research is the randomized pretest-posttest control group *** the quantitative study was 74 people(37 in the control group and 74 in the intervention group).The intervention in this study is learn of IMCI with study guided method used ***:The IMCI knowledge,procedural knowledge,attitude and practice scores were higher after IMCI learning by study guide method compared to IMCI learning by conventional method using IMCI *** higher the IMCI knowledge score,the higher the IMCI practice ***:IMCI learning by the method of study guide using module has significant influence towards the increase of IMCI knowledge,procedural knowledge,attitude,and practice *** learning program needs to be designed for students to assist their studying and achieve the learning objectives independently.

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Stress Urinary Incontinence Among Perimenopausal Women and Its Influence on Daily Life in Women with Sexual Desire Problem

The prevalence of,and related factors to,stress urinary incontinence (SUI) among perimenopausal Chinese women and its impact on daily life among those women with sexual desire problem in Hubei province were *** this study,1519 perimenopausal women aged 40 to 65 years were selected from three urban communities in the Wuhan area,and two impoverished,mountainous communities in Hubei province,and followed from April to October *** information about demographic characteristics,menstruation,pregnancy,sexual life and chronic diseases was collected.A cross-sectional survey was carried out following information collection by Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression *** and multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that the potential factors associated with developing SUI were old age (OR=3.4,95% CI:1.92-6.04),vaginal delivery (OR=0.623,95% CI:0.45-0.87),low income (OR=0.063,95% CI:0.40-0.92),atrophic vaginitis (OR=1.4,95% CI:1.03-1.80),pelvic organ prolapse (OR=2.81,95% CI:1.36-5.80),chronic pelvic pain (OR=2.17,95% CI:1.90-4.03),constipation (OR=1.44,95% CI:1.07-1.93) and incontinence of feces (OR=3.32,95% CI:2.03-5.43).Moreover,the ratio of SUI (33.2%) was higher than the ratio of urgency urinary incontinence (24.1 %) or the ratio of mixed urinary incontinence (17.4%),and SUI had a greater impact on daily life among women with decreased sexual *** conclusion,SUI is a common disorder affecting over one third of the women surveyed,and has a severe impact on the daily life of perimenopausal women with declined sexual ***,mode of delivery,and monthly income are major risk factors involved in the development of SUI.

Decision-making competency, self-determination, and health lifestyle in nursing students

Introduction: This study identifies and analyzes the levels of relations between decision-making competency, self-determination, and health lifestyle in nursing students. Methods: This study was designed as a descriptive research to identify the relations of nursing students’ decision-making competency, self-determination, and health lifestyle. The subjects were 187 nursing students. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and were analyzed by the IBM SPSS Statistics 19 program. Results: Decision-making competency of nursing students was 3.38 ± 0.41 points, and self-determination was 3.07 ± 0.38 points. Stress and physical exercise were the general and health-related lifestyle factors that contributed to the differences in decision-making competency. There were no differences in self-determination according to these factors. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the levels of decision-making competency and self-determination in nursing students were moderate. Further studies are recommended for the development of these core abilities in nursing students.

Purpose:As to January 11,2021,coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has caused more than 2 million deaths *** diagnostic methods of COVID-19 are:(i)nucleic acid *** method requires high requirements on the sample testing *** collecting samples,staff are in a susceptible environment,which increases the risk of infection.(ii)chest computed *** cost of it is high and some radiation in the scan process.(iii)chest X-ray *** has the advantages of fast imaging,higher spatial recognition than chest computed ***,our team chose the chest X-ray images as the experimental dataset in this ***:We proposed a novel framework—BEVGG and three methods(BEVGGC-I,BEVGGC-II,and BEVGGC-III)to diagnose COVID-19 via chest X-ray ***,we used biogeography-based optimization to optimize the values of hyperparameters of the convolutional neural ***:The experimental results show that the OA of our proposed three methods are 97.65%±0.65%,94.49%±0.22%and 94.81%±0.52%.BEVGGC-I has the best performance of all ***:The OA of BEVGGC-I is 9.59%±1.04%higher than that of state-of-the-art methods.

nursing undergraduates’experiences of a simulation-centred educational program in hospice care in Macao:A qualitative research

Knowledge, attitude and practice regarding nursing interruptions among Chinese nurses: A nationwide cross-sectional survey

Objectives:To explore the knowledge,attitude and practice of Chinese nurses regarding nursing interruptions and related ***:A total of 6,400 nurses from 31 hospitals in China were investigated by using the Knowledge,Attitude and Practice(KAP)Questionnaire of nursing *** questionnaire consists of three dimensions,knowledge,attitude and practice,containing 10,9 and 7 items,with full score of 50,45 and 28,***:The mean overall KAP score regarding nursing interruptions of Chinese nurses was 74.05±16.65(range:26-123),with scores for the knowledge,attitude,and practice component being 21.74±9.80,34.83±6.98,and 17.49±4.97,*** the nurses,70.8%of them experienced an average level of KAP toward nursing interruptions while 15.5%were at a poor *** knowledge,attitude,and practice of nursing interruptions were better in chief nurses,managers,nurses with a master degree or above,nurses ever received training,and nurses with a strong agreement to leadership compared to nurses in other groups(Pnursing ***'attention,standardized training,position,professional title and employment type could predict nurses'KAP state of nursing ***,a targeted training program should be implemented for clinical nurses by nursing leaders,with a particular focus on feasibility and professionalism.
