Background Yersinia enterocolitica has been sporadically recovered from animals,foods,and human clinical samples in various regions of ningxia,***,the ecological and molecular characteristics of ***,as well as public health concerns about infection in the ningxia hui autonomous region,remain *** study aims to analyze the ecological and molecular epidemiological characteristics of *** in order to inform the public health intervention strategies for the contains of related *** A total of 270 samples were collected for isolation[animals(n=208),food(n=49),and patients(n=13)],then suspect colonies were isolated and identified by the API20E biochemical identification system,serological tests,biotyping tests,and 16S ***,we used an ecological epidemiological approach combined with machine learning algorithms(general linear model,random forest model,and eXtreme Gradient Boosting)to explore the associations between ecological factors and the pathogenicity of ***,average nucleotide identity(ANI)estimation,single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP),and core gene multilocus sequence typing(cgMLST)were applied to characterize the molecular profile of isolates based on whole genome *** statistical test used single-factor analysis,Chi-square tests,t-tests/ANOVA-tests,Wilcoxon rank-sum tests,and Kruskal–Wallis *** A total of 270 isolates of Yersinia were identified from poultry and livestock(n=191),food(n=49),diarrhoea patients(n=13),rats(n=15),and hamsters(n=2).The detection rates of samples from different hosts were statistically different(χ^(2)=22.636,P<0.001).According to the relatedness clustering results,270 isolates were divided into 12 species,and ***(n=187)is a predominated *** isolates made up 52.4%(98/187),while non-pathogenic isolates made up 47.6%(89/187).Temperature and precipitation were strongly associated with the pathogenicity of the

Spatial analysis of intra-site use at a Late Paleolithic site at Shuidonggou, Northwest China

Intra-site spatial analysis provides an alternative perspective for understanding the functions of a site, and the occupational organization of early human living and activities associated with it. We examined features and cultural remains recovered from Locality 2 at Shuidonggou, a Late Paleolithic site, focusing on early occupants' survival behaviors and settlement patterns, as indicated by evidence regarding the functional organization of the site. Three-dimensional data from unearthed remains (including lithic assemblages, faunal remains, ornaments, etc) were used to reconstruct intra-site use patterns of Cultural Layer 2, which yielded seven earth-pit hearths and tens of thousands of artifacts and bones. We discuss the population size and group composition, as well as the functions of the living spaces, based on the analysis of the hearth patterns and the ostrich eggshell ornaments surround the hearths. In conclusion, Cultural Layer 2 of SDG Locality 2 appears to have functioned as a base camp for ancient foragers, where occupants produced tools, as well as preparing and consuming food.

Echinococcoses are parasitic diseases of major public health importance *** infection results in chronic disease with poor prognosis and serious medical,social and economic consequences for vulnerable *** to recent estimates,the geographical distribution of Echinococcus *** is expanding and becoming an emerging and re-emerging problem in several regions of the *** endemicity is geographically heterogeneous and over time it may be affected by global environmental ***,landscape epidemiology offers a unique opportunity to quantify and predict the ecological risk of infection at multiple spatial and temporal ***,we review the most relevant environmental sources of spatial variation in human echinococcosis risk,and describe the potential applications of landscape epidemiological studies to characterise the current patterns of parasite transmission across natural and human-altered *** advocate future work promoting the use of this approach as a support tool for decision-making that facilitates the design,implementation and monitoring of spatially targeted interventions to reduce the burden of human echinococcoses in disease-endemic areas.

Microbial community structure analyses and cultivable denitrifier isolation of Myriophyllum aquaticum constructed wetland under low C/N ratio

With the rapid expansion of livestock production,the amount of livestock wastewater accumulated *** of biodegradable organic matter makes denitrification of livestock wastewater after anaerobic digestion more *** this study,Myriophyllum aquaticum constructed wetlands(CWs)with efficient nitrogen removal performance were established under different carbon/nitrogen(C/N)*** of community composition reveals the change of *** CWs in microbial community structure with C/N *** proportion of Proteobacteria which is one of the dominant phyla among denitrifier communities increased significantly under low C/N ratio ***,to obtain cultivable denitrifier that could be added into CWs in situ,33 strains belonging to phylum Proteobacteria were isolated from efficient *** CWs,while the best-performing denitrification strain M3-1 was identified as Bacillus velezensis JT3-1(GenBank ***032506.1).Redundancy analysis and quadratic models showed that C/N ratio had significant effects on disposal of nitrate(NO_(3)^(−)-N)and the strains isolated could perform well in denitrification when C/N ratio is relatively *** addition,they have relatively wide ranges of carbon sources,temperature and a high NO_(3)^(−)removal rate of 9.12 mg/(L·hr)at elevated concentrations of 800 mg/L ***,strains isolated from *** CWs with low C/N ratio have a practical application value in the treatment of nitrate-containing *** denitrifying bacteria could be added to CWs to enhance nitrogen removal efficiency of CWs for livestock wastewater with low C/N ratio in the future.

Evaluation of the chemical profile from four germplasms sources of Pruni Semen using UHPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap-MS and multivariate analyses

Pruni Semen,the seed of several unique Prunus plants,is a traditional purgative herbal *** determine the authentic sources of Pruni Semen,46 samples from four species were collected and *** compounds including multiflorin A(Mul A),a notable purative compound,were isolated and identified by chemical separation and nuclear magnetic resonance ***-six communal components were identified by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with linear ion trap-quadrupole Orbitrap mass spectrometry,and acetyl flavonoid glycosides were recognized as characteristic *** flavonoids were distributed in the seed coat and cyanogenic glycosides in the *** on this,methods for identifying Pruni Semen from different sources were established using chemical fingerprinting,quantitative analysis of the eight principal compounds,hierarchical cluster analysis,principal component analysis,and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant *** results showed that the samples were divided into two categories:one is the small seeds from Prunus humilis(Ph)and Prunus japonica(Pj),and the other is the big seeds from Prunus pedunculata(Pp)and Prunus triloba(Pt).The average content of Mul A was 3.02,6.93,0.40,and 0.29 mg/g,while the average content of amygdalin was 18.5,17.7,31.5,and 30.9 mg/g in Ph,Pj,Pp,and Pt,*** the above information suggests that small seeds might be superior sources of Pruni *** is the first comprehensive report on the identification of chemical components in Pruni Semen from different species.

Development and application of KASP marker for high throughput detection of the seedless trait in grapevine

Molecular marker-assisted selection(MAS) can significantly accelerate and improve the efficiency of the breeding process in seedless grape cultivars. In this study, we developed the KASP_VviAGL11 and VviAGL11_410 markers based on a single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) site(Chr18: 26889437(A/C)) of the VviAGL11 gene, and compared them with previously reported SSR markers p3_VvAGL11 and 5U_VviAGL11 by testing 101 cultivars and 81 F1 hybrid progenies. The results showed that both of the proposed markers obtained 100% accuracy rates in detecting allele A, which was closely associated with the seedless trait in grapes, while p3_VvAGL11 and 5U_VviAGL11 had lower accuracy rates due to their tendency to produce false positives. After careful evaluation of the technical advantages and disadvantages associated with these markers, we concluded that KASP_VviAGL11 was superior in terms of simplicity,cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy. Thus, we optimized the process of molecular MAS for seedless grapes,focusing on the KASP_VviAGL11 marker as a central component, to provide key technical support for the development of new seedless grape cultivars.

Prediction and fusion algorithm for meat moisture content measurement based on loss-on-drying method

The loss-on-drying method has been widely used as a standard approach for measuring the moisture content of high-moisture materials such as solid and semi-solid ***-on-drying method provides reliable results,whilst usually labor-intensive and *** paper presents a novel algorithm for predicting the moisture content of meats based on the loss-on drying *** proposed approach developed a drying kinetics model of meats based on Fick’s Second Law and designed a prediction algorithm for meat moisture content using the least-squares *** predicted results were compared with the official method recommended by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists(AOAC).When the moisture content of meat samples(beef and pork)was varied from 69.46%to 74.21%,the relative error of the meat moisture content(MMC)calculated by the proposed algorithm was 0.0017-0.0117,the absolute errors were less than 1%.The testing time was about 40.18%-56.87%less than the standard detection procedure.
