It is well known that transit through the epididymis involves an increase in the compaction of sperm chromatin, which acquires fully condensed status at the caput epididymidis. The purpose of this study was to compare the terminal deoxyribonucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end-labelling （TUNEL） assay, the comet assay, the sperm chromatin structure assay （SCSA） and the sperm chromatin dispersion （SCD） test by analysing spermatozoa from the caput and cauda epididymidis in order to demonstrate the ability of each technique to discriminate between different degrees of sperm maturity related to chromatin compaction and DNA fragmentation. Our results suggest that some populations of DNA-fragmented spermatozoa associated with immature sperm can only be identified using the comet assay and the SCSA but not with the SCD test or the TUNEL assay.

Li-Fraumeni syndrome(LFS),a rare autosomal-dominant inheritance condition,is associated with a family cancer history as well as pathogenic/likely-pathogenic TP53 germline variants(P/LP TP53 GV).The current clinical methods for detecting LFS are ***,we retrospectively investigate P/LP TP53 GV among Chinese cancer patients by next-generation sequencing and evaluate its relationship with a family cancer history.A total of 270 out of 19,226 cancer patients have TP53 GV,including 53 patients with P/LP TP53 *** with P/LP TP53 GV are mainly found in male with glioma,lung cancer or *** median age of diagnosis for P/LP TP53 GV patients is significantly lower than that of non-P/LP TP53 GV patients(31-years vs.53-years;Pcancer *** findings suggest analyzing the P/LP TP53 GV in cancer patients is an effective strategy for identifying cancer predisposition syndrome.

Cytokine release syndrome(CRS)is a major obstacle to the widespread clinical application of chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T cell *** can also be induced by infections(such as SARS-CoV-2),drugs(such as therapeutic antibodies),and some autoimmune ***-derived macrophages play key roles in the pathogenesis of CRS,and participate in the production and release of the core CRS cytokines,including interleukin(IL)-1,IL-6,and interferon-γ.In this review,we summarize the roles of macrophages in CRS and discuss new developments in macrophage activation and the related mechanisms of cytokine regulation in CRS.

Synergistic extraction of cerium（IV） from sulfuric acid medium using mixture of 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono 2-ethylhexyl ester（HEH/EHP, HL） and Di-（2-ethyl hexyl） phosphoric acid（HDEHP, HA） as extractant was *** results indicated that the maximum synergistic enhancement coefficients were obtained at the mole fraction of HEH/EHP=0.6, and cerium（IV） was extracted into organic phase in the form of Ce（SO4）0.5HL2A2.A cation exchange mechanism was proposed for the synergistic extraction of Ce（IV）.The equilibrium constants and thermodynamic functions such as △G, △H, and △S were determined in the extraction of Ce（IV） from sulfuric medium using mixture of HEH/EHP and HDEHP.

In order to obtain near-infrared phosphor pumped by blue chip with high luminous efficiency, a novel near-infrared phosphor Ce^(3+)/Er^(3+) doped La_3Si_6N_(11) was designed and firstly prepared via conventional solid-state reactions. The structure and morphology of Ce^(3+)/Er^(3+) doped La_3Si_6N_(11) were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Compared with Er^(3+) doped La_3Si_6N_(11),the emission intensity of the Ce^(3+), Er^(3+) co-doped phosphor can be increased more than 5 ***, the mechanism of energy transfer from Ce^(3+) to Er^(3+) is confirmed according to the excitation,emission spectra and decay lifetimes curve. Above results suggest that La_3 Si_6 N_(11):Ce^(3+),Er^(3+) is a promising near-infrared phosphor for blue pumped LEDs(light-emitting diodes).

AIM:To investigate the therapeutic effect of radical treatment and palliative treatment in stage Ⅳ pancreatic cancer ***:81 patients were enrolled in the *** treatment was performed on 51 patients,while 30 patients were put under palliative *** procedural safety and interval survival for stage Ⅳ pancreatic cancer(IS-Ⅳ) was assessed by almost 2.5 years of *** IS-Ⅳ of patients under the two kinds of treatment,and the effects of treatment timing and frequency on IS-Ⅳ,were ***:The IS-Ⅳ of patients who received radical treatment was significantly longer than those who received palliative treatment(P < 0.001).The IS-Ⅳ of patients who received delayed radical or palliative treatment was longer than those who received accordingly timely treatment(P = 0.0034 and 0.0415,respectively).Multiple treatments can play an important role in improving the IS-Ⅳ of patients who received radical treatment(P = 0.0389),but not for those who received palliative treatment(P = 0.99).CONCLUSION:The effect of radical treatment was significantly more obvious than that of palliative treatment,and multiple radical treatments may contribute more to patients than a single radical treatment.
