Experimental Research of External Desulfurization in situ Mechanical stirring

This paper presents a new idea about desulfurization with in-situ mechanical stirring method on the basis of desulfurization by single blow grain magnesium and KR method, that is, the inner gases carry the magnesium vapor formed in-site in molten iron by magnesium-based desulfurization, and bubble dispersed and disintegrated under the condition of mechanical stirring, thence to improve the efficiency of desulfurization by single blow grain magnesium .It has been proved by research of cold water model experiment that the bubble dispersion and disintegration can not only improve the desulphurization efficiency but also increase the utilization rate of magnesium. Obviously, the bubble dispersion and disintegration of magnesium vapor is the key problem in improving the desulphurization efficiency and increasing the utilization rate of magnesium. Thus the research focus on exploring the performance of bubble dispersion and disintegration on the base of refining process and gas-liquid mass transfer. According to the literature and cold water model experimental result basing on principle of similitude, the influencing factors and interaction of bubble dispersion and disintegration have been studied from the perspectives of physical and numerical simulation. The study would provide the theoretical and experimental data for the new method of desulfurization with in-situ mechanical stirring.

This paper describes the use of particle tracking velocimetry to analyze the Lagrangian acceleration of small particles in superfluid helium with varying time increments, . The probability density of acceleration exhibits Gaussian properties for sub>sub>sub>sub>, but displays a lognormal distribution for , where sub>sub>sub>sub> is the migration time characterizing the particle motion. The particle trajectories are well characterized by the Hurst exponent H. For smaller time scales than sub>sub>sub>sub>, the trajectories exhibit linear motion (), but have certain fractal properties with for time scales larger than sub>sub>.

A three-dimensional fixed offshore platform in deep water modeled by the finite element method is studied in this paper. Analysis of the dynamic response of the MDOF structure is realized taking the non-linearity of the wave drag force and the wave-structure interaction into account. The structural response statistics, which have Gaussian distributions, are used to evaluate the vibration effect of the structure without TMD and with TMD. And an optimal method to design TMD controlling the first mode of the multi-mode structure is proposed. Moreover, the probabilities of occurrence of sea states at the platform site are considered for prediction of the long-term effect of a TMD. simulation results demonstrate that the long-term effect of a well-designed TMD is good and the practical use is possible due to the good stability of its optimal parameters under different sea states.

study on Absorption Rate by Eccentric Mechanical stirring in Gas Injection Refining for Iron and steel Making

In gas injection refining processes, a great amount of gas is injected into molten metal in short time, so that very large bubbles are inevitably formed. Wide dispersion of small bubbles in the bath is indispensable for high refining efficiency. Eccentric mechanical stirring with unidirectional impeller rotation was tested using a water model for pursuing better bubble disintegration and dispersion. Absorption rate are used to research on the influence law of the bubble dispersion and disintegration and gas-liquid absorption by the influence of, rotation mode, rotation speed and gas flow rate. Compared to the experimental results of absorption rate under eccentric stirring and centric stirring ,provide the scientific experimental and theoretical guidance for high-temperature experiment of hot metal desulfurization .According to experimental and theoretical analysis, this paper has studied various factors effecting on gas absorption process and volumetric mass transfer coefficient using the system of *** results show that:the volumetric mass transfer coefficient and absorption efficiency of CO2 can be increased under eccentric stirring mode, Because bubble disperse quickly with eccentric mechanical stirring, which results in promoting complete reaction between CO2 and NaOH, and improving the mass transfer coefficient and absorption. Volumetric mass transfer coefficient and efficiency of CO2 increase with the increasing rotation speed under the condition of eccentric stirring .But volumetric mass transfer coefficient and efficiency of CO2 decrease with the increasing rotation speed under the condition of centric stirring.

Nano-pore carbon aerogels were prepared by the sol-gel polymerization of resorcinol (1,3-dihydroxybenzene)(C6H4(OH)2) with formaldehyde (HCHO) in a slightly basic aqueous solution, followed by super-critical drying under liquid carbon dioxide as super-critical media and carbonization at 700 ℃ under N2 gas atmosphere. The key of the work is to fabricate carbon aerogels with controllable nano-pore structure, which means extremely high surface area and sharp pore size distribution. Aiming to investigate the effects of preparation conditions on the gelation process, the bulk density, and the physical and chemical structure of the resultant carbon aerogels, the molar ratio of R/C (resorcinol to catalyst) and the amount of distilled water were varied, consequently two different sets of samples, with series of R/C ratio and RF/W (Resorcinol-Formaldehyde to water, or the content of reactant) ratio, were prepared. The result of N2 adsorption/desorption experiment at 77 K shows that the pore sizes decreasing from 11.4 down to 2.2 nm with the increasing of the molar ratio of R/C from 100 to 400, and/or, the pore sizes decreasing from 3.8 down to 1.6 nm with the increasing of reactant content from 0.4 to 0.6.

BACKGROUND Cold polypectomy(CP)is a simple and safe procedure for polyps less than 10 mm in size;however,there is concern about local recurrence following CP because of unidentified margins of excised specimens and the lack of tumor suppression effect by *** clinical trials have evaluated local persistent recurrence;their results suggest that a higher rate of local recurrence has not been documented so *** were few reports that observed the course over long periods of time after CP in clinical *** To evaluate the presence of local recurrence following CP and hot polypectomy(HP)using propensity score *** We analyzed 275 patients who underwent polypectomy for non-pedunculated colorectal polyps less than 10 mm(959 Lesions)between October 2016 and 2017 and underwent follow-up endoscopy *** divided them into the CP group(706 Lesions),wherein CP was performed,and the HP group(253 Lesions),wherein HP was *** propensity score matching,we extracted 215 Lesions in each group and evaluated the local recurrence and content of CP in the real clinic and adverse events using medical *** After propensity score matching,there were no significant differences in the patients’and their endoscopic background(age,use of antithrombotics,indications,size,morphology,location of polyps,and polypectomy device)between the *** mean duration between colorectal polypectomy and the next follow-up colonoscopy was 17.5±7.1(range,6-39)mo in the CP group and 15.7±6.0(range,6-35)mo in the HP group,which was significantly longer in the CP group(P=0.005).The local recurrence rate was 0.93%in the CP group and 0.93%in the HP group,without a significant difference(P=0.688).Additionally,no differences were observed in the macroscopic en bloc resection rate,histopathological complete resection rate,and pathological results between the *** events did not occur in either *** Local recurrence after CP was

Background:Graft inflow modulation(GIM)during adult-to-adult living donor liver transplantation(LDLT)is a common strategy to avoid small-for-size syndrome,and some transplant surgeons attempt small size graft strategy with frequent GIM procedures,which are mostly performed by splenectomy,in ***,splenectomy can cause serious complications such as portal vein thrombosis and overwhelming postsplenectomy ***:Forty-eight adult-to-adult LDLT recipients were enrolled in this study and retrospectively *** applied the graft selection criteria,which routinely fulfill graft-to-recipient weight ratio≥0.8%,and consider GIM as a backup strategy for high portal venous pressure(PVP).Results:In our current strategy of LDLT,splenectomy was performed mostly due to hepatitis C and splenic arterial aneurysms,but splenectomy for GIM was intended to only one patient(2.1%).The final PVP values≤20 mmHg were achieved in all recipients,and no significant difference was observed in patient survival or postoperative clinical course based on whether splenectomy was performed or ***,6 of 18 patients with splenectomy(33.3%)developed postsplenectomy portal vein thrombosis(PVT),while none of the 30 patients without splenectomy developed PVT after *** was identified as a risk factor of PVT in this study(Pstudy revealed that a lower final PVP could be risk factor of postsplenectomy ***:Using sufficient size grafts was one of the direct solutions to control PVP,and allowed GIM to be reserved as a backup *** should be avoided as much as possible during LDLT because splenectomy was found to be a definite risk factor of *** splenectomy cases with a lower final PVP,a close follow-up is required for early detection and treatment of PVT.
