An analysis on older driver＇s driving behavior by GPs tracking data： Road selection, left/right turn, and driving speed

With the high older-related accident ratio and increasing population aging problem, understanding older drivers＇ driving behaviors has become more and more important for building and improving transportation system. This paper examines older driver＇s driving behavior which includes road selection, left/right turn and driving speed. A two-month experiment of 108 participants was carried out in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. since apparently contradictory statements were often drawn in survey-based or simulators-based studies, this study collected not only drivers＇ basic information but also GPs data. Analysis of road selection demonstrates that older drivers are reluctant to drive on expressway not only in short trips but also in long trips. The present study did not find significant difference be- tween older drivers and others while turning at the intersections. To investigate the impact factors on driving speed, a random-effects regression model is constructed with explan- atory variables including age, gender, road types and the interaction terms between age and road types. Compared with other variables, it fails to find that age （60 years old or over） has significant impact on driving speed. Moreover, the results reflect that older drivers drive even faster than others at particular road types： national road and ordinary municipal road. The results in this study are expected to help improve transportation planning and develop driving assistance systems for older drivers.

This paper presents an improvement of A-sATCHMORE (sATCHMORE withAvailability) . A-sATCHMORE incorporates relevancy testing and availability checking into sATCHMOto prune away irrelevant forward chaining. However, considering every consequent atom of thosenon-Horn clauses being derivable, A-sATCHMORE may suffer from a potential explosion of thesearch space when some of such consequent atoms are actually underivable. This paper introducesa solution for this problem and shows its correctness.

We propose a novel on-chip 3D cell rotation method based on a vibration-induced *** circular vibration is applied to a microchip with micropillar patterns,a highly localized whirling flow is induced around the *** direction and velocity of this flow can be controlled by changing the direction and amplitude of the applied ***,this flow can be induced on an open chip *** this study,we adopted a microchip with three micropillars arranged in a triangular configuration and an xyz piezoelectric actuator to apply the circular *** the centre of the micropillars,the interference of the vibration-induced flows originating from the individual micropillars induces rotational ***,a biological cell placed at this centre rotates under the influence of the *** three-plane circular vibrations in the xy,xz or yz plane,the cell can rotate in both the focal and vertical planes of the *** this 3D cell rotation method,we measured the rotational speeds of mouse oocytes in the focal and vertical planes as 63.7±4.0°s^(−1) and 3.5±2.1°s^(−1),***,we demonstrated the transportation and rotation of the mouse oocytes and re-positioned their nuclei into a position observable by microscope.

In the large helical device （LHD） having three dimensional configuration, Alfven eigenmodes （AEs） destabilized by energetic ions are widely investigated using neutral beam heated plasmas with monotonic and non-monotonic rotational transform （l/2π） profiles. In a plasma with monotonic l/2π-profile, core-localized toroidicity-induced Alfven eigenmode （TAE） as well as global one are often observed. With the increase in the averaged toroidal beta value, defined as the ratio of total plasma pressure to toroidal magnetic pressure, core-localized TAE with low toroidal mode number becomes global. In a relatively high beta plasma with monotonic l/2π-profile, two TAEs with different toroidal mode number often interact nonlinearly and generate another modes through three wave coupling. In a plasma with non-monotonic l/2π-profile generated by intense counter neutral beam current drive, reversed shear Alfven eigenmode （RsAE） and geodesic acoustic mode （CAM） excited by energetic ions were observed for the first time in a helical plasma. Nonlinear coupling was also observed between RsAE and GAM.

The identification of activity locations in con- tinuous GPs trajectories is an essential preliminary step in obtaining person trip data and for activity-based trans- portation demand forecasting. In this research, a two-step methodology for identifying activity stop locations is pro- posed. In the first step, an improved density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise （DBsCAN） algorithm identifies stop points and moving points; then in the second step, the support vector machines （sVMs） method distin- guishes activity stops from non-activity stops among the identified stop points. A time sequence constraint and a direction change constraint are applied as improvements to DBsCAN （yielding an improved algorithm known as C-DBsCAN）. Then three major features are extracted for use in the sVMs method： stop duration, mean distance to the centroid of a cluster of points at a stop location, and the shorter of distances from current location to home and to the workplace. The proposed methodology was tested using GPs data collected from mobile phones in the nagoya area of Japan. The C-DBsCAN algorithm achieves an accuracy of 90 % in identifying stop points in the first step, while the sVMs method is 96 % accurate in distin- guishing the locations of activity stops from non-activity stops in the second step. Compared to other variants of DBsCAN used to identify activity locations from GPs trajectories, this two-step method is generally superior.

The corrosion protection property and morphology of colloidal silica conversion films as an alternative to chemical conversion coating(CCC) films were examined. The corrosion behavior was investigated in 3% NaCl solution using electrochemical techniques. Corrosion was implied by the appearance of red rust on the specimen surface. The results show that in 3% NaCl solution, red rust appears at 15-20, 55-70, and 75-85 d on Zn-electroplated steel, colloidal silica conversion-coated specimens, and chemical conversion-coated, specimens, respectively. In the salt spray test, the colloidal silica film provides better corrosion protection than CCC film, i.e., red rust appears at 96 h on the Zn-electroplated steel sheet, at 432 h on the CCC films, and at 888 h on silica conversion coating.

Gastric cancer(GC) is one of the most frequentlydiagnosed cancers in the world. Most GC patients are diagnosed when the cancer is in an advanced stage, and consequently, some develop metastatic lesions that generally cause cancer-related death. Metastasis establishment is affected by various conditions, such as tumor location, hemodynamics and organotropism. While digestive cancers may share a primary site, certain cases develop hematogenous metastasis with the absence of peritoneal metastasis, and vice versa. Numerous studies have revealed the clinicopathological risk factors for hematogenous metastasis from GC, such as vascular invasion, advanced age, differentiation, Borrmann type 1 or 2 and expansive growth. Recently, molecular mechanisms that contribute to metastatic site determination have been elucidated by advanced molecular biological techniques. Investigating the molecules that specifically participate in metastasis establishment in distinct secondary organs will lead to the development of novel biomarkers for patient stratification according to their metastatic risk and strategies for preventing and treating distinct metastases. We reviewed articles related to the molecular landscape of hematogenous metastasis from GC.
