As an important facilitator in e-government and society in general,Open SDI merits an assessment of its characteristics and the monitoring of its development.The aim of the study was the proposal of the SDI openness assessment approach based on existing openness assessment frameworks,as well as the presentation of the Polish Spatial Data Infrastructure(PSDI)development towards openness.The results indicated that ten geodetic and cartographic databases fulfilled ten out of eleven criteria of data openness,according to the methodological assumptions,and reached a 3-star level of openness.The need for further development of the infrastructure towards sharing public administration data is recognized,as well as non-governmental data that meet the open data criteria,thus contributing to the openness of the SDI.The proposed assessment method,referenced to a five-level data openness system and providing clear scoring benchmarking for assessing SDI openness,may be used for comparative analysis of SDI openness in different countries,including EU Member States that draw on the experience of the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive.

Decoupled Two-Phase Framework for Class-Incremental Few-Shot Named Entity Recognition

Class-Incremental Few-Shot Named Entity Recognition(CIFNER)aims to identify entity categories that have appeared with only a few newly added(novel)class examples.However,existing class-incremental methods typically introduce new parameters to adapt to new classes and treat all information equally,resulting in poor generalization.Meanwhile,few-shot methods necessitate samples for all observed classes,making them difficult to transfer into a class-incremental setting.Thus,a decoupled two-phase framework method for the CIFNER task is proposed to address the above issues.The whole task is converted to two separate tasks named Entity Span Detection(ESD)and Entity Class Discrimination(ECD)that leverage parameter-cloning and label-fusion to learn different levels of knowledge separately,such as class-generic knowledge and class-specific knowledge.Moreover,different variants,such as the Conditional Random Field-based(CRF-based),word-pair-based methods in ESD module,and add-based,Natural Language Inference-based(NLI-based)and prompt-based methods in ECD module,are investigated to demonstrate the generalizability of the decoupled framework.Extensive experiments on the three Named Entity Recognition(NER)datasets reveal that our method achieves the state-of-the-art performance in the CIFNER setting.

Network protocol software is usually characterized by complicated functions and a vast state space.In this type of program,a massive number of stateful variables that are used to represent the evolution of the states and store some information about the sessions are prone to potentialﬂaws caused by violations of protocol specification requirements and program logic.Discovering such variables is significant in discovering and exploiting vulnerabilities in protocol software,and still needs massive manual verifications.In this paper,we propose a novel method that could automatically discover the use of stateful variables in network protocol software.The core idea is that a stateful variable features information of the communication entities and the software states,so it will exist in the form of a global or static variable during program execution.Based on recording and replaying a protocol program’s execution,varieties of variables in the life cycle can be tracked with the technique of dynamic instrument.We draw up some rules from multiple dimensions by taking full advantage of the existing vulnerability knowledge to determine whether the data stored in critical memory areas have stateful characteristics.We also implement a prototype system that can discover stateful variables automatically and then perform it on nine programs in Pro FuzzBench and two complex real-world software programs.With the help of available open-source code,the evaluation results show that the average true positive rate(TPR)can reach 82%and the average precision can be approximately up to 96%.

The article presents a methodology to determine access routes to places with difficult access,situated outside the regular transport network.To determine the optimum route,the existing road network was used,along with terrain passability maps,as well as high-resolution digital terrain models together with the traction parameters of the vehicle to enable conducting a detailed analysis of micro-relief and excluding inaccessible areas.The research was extended to include a comprehensive analysis of terrain accessibility for areas located in the vicinity of the capital cities of three European countries on various levels of economic development:Germany,Poland,and Ukraine.The degree of development of the analysed area was determined with the use of the gross domestic product(GDP),human development index(HDI),and the road quality coefficient.The case study presented in the paper illustrates the practical application of the developed methodology that was implemented to a real crisis situation.Access routes were determined for a MAN TGM 15.290 vehicle that went to take part in emergency action in buildings situated approximately 500 m away from paved roads.The developed methodology may be widely used in crisis management,where the emergency actions often require rescue units to access remote places.

Hepatic myelopathy is a complication seen in patients with chronic liver failure with physiologic or iatrogenic portosystemic shunting. The main symptom is progressive lower limb dyskinesia. The role of the brain motor control center in hepatic myelopathy is unknown. This study aimed to investigate the gray matter changes in patients with hepatic myelopathy secondary to transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt and to examine their clinical relevance. This was a cross-sectional study. Twenty-three liver failure patients with hepatic myelopathy(hepatic myelopathy group), 23 liver failure patients without hepatic myelopathy(non-hepatic myelopathy group) after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, and 23 demographically matched healthy volunteers were enrolled from March 2014 to November 2016 at Xijing Hospital, Air Force military Medical university(Fourth military Medical university), China. High-resolution magnetization-prepared rapid gradient-echo brain imaging was acquired. Group differences in regional gray matter were assessed using voxel-based morphometry analysis. The relationship between aberrant gray matter and motor characteristics was investigated. Results demonstrated that compared with the non-hepatic myelopathy group, gray matter volume abnormalities were asymmetric, with decreased volume in the left insula(P = 0.003), left thalamus(P = 0.029), left superior frontal gyrus(P = 0.006), and right middle cingulate cortex(P = 0.021), and increased volume in the right caudate nucleus(P = 0.017), corrected with open-source software. The volume of the right caudate nucleus in the hepatic myelopathy group negatively correlated with the lower limb clinical rating of the Fugl-Meyer Assessment(r = –0.53, P = 0.01). Compared with healthy controls, patients with and without hepatic myelopathy exhibited overall increased gray matter volume in both thalami, and decreased gray matter volume in both putamen, as well as in the globus pallidus, cerebellum, and vermis. To improve the accuracy of the nonlinear distortion correction for the radio frequency(RF)power amplifier(PA), it is necessary to precisely obtain the reverse function of the PA nonlinear model.However, the direct inversion of the PA nonlinear model involves solving a high-order univariate polynomial,which is difficult to apply in engineering. In this study, based on the envelope memory polynomial(EMP)model, the high-order terms of the nonlinear model are approximated by their previously calculated values through iterations and considered as known constants in the polynomial solution finding process, thereby resulting in a significant reduction in computational complexity. Compared with the direct inversion method,model of a 9 th-order nonlinear, the proposed method reduces the calculation time in the coordinated rotation digital computer(CORDIC) algorithm by at least 80%. The simulation results show that for a long-term evolution(LTE) downlink signal, the results obtained by the proposed simplified method agree well with those obtained by direct inversion method.

The vaccine-induced innate immune response is essential for the generation of an antibody response.To date,how Ad5-vectored vaccines are influenced by preexisting anti-Ad5 antibodies during activation of the early immune response remains unclear.Here,we investigated the specific alterations in GP1,2-specific IgG-related elements of the early immune response at the genetic,molecular,and cellular levels on days 0,1,3,and 7 after Ad5-EBOV vaccination.In a causal multiomics analysis,distinct early immune responses associated with GP1,2-specific IgG were observed in Ad5-EBOV recipients with a low level of preexisting anti-Ad5 antibodies.This study revealed the correlates of the Ad5-EBOV-induced IgG response and provided mechanistic evidence for overcoming preexisting Ad5 immunity during the administration of Ad5-vectored vaccines.

High-Order Characteristic Modes Suppression for Cross-Band Decoupling in Shared-Aperture Antenna Array

In dual-band shared-aperture base station antennas, the secondary radiation(SR) field caused by cross-band couplings always leads to radiation pattern distortion. In this work, the SR field caused by the coupling is attributed to the excitation of the target highorder modes from the perspective of the characteristic mode. To effectively suppress the target modes, L-shaped slots are proposed to load the arms of the radiator and altering the current paths. As compared with conventional dipoles without L-shaped slots, the proposed antenna generates less SR field. Therefore, the radiation pattern of the high-band antennas keeps stable in a dual-band shared-aperture antenna array environment. Prototype of a dual-band antenna array consisting of the proposed lowband(LB) antenna and a 4 × 4 high-band(HB) antenna array is fabricated. Simulated and measured results show that the designed dual-band array operates at both 0.74–0.82 GHz and 3.30–3.80 GHz. The experimental results verify that the cross-band decoupling has been achieved with the high-order mode suppression.
