This review highlights the importance of recovering valuable metals from spent Li-ion battery(LIB)cathodes through the resynthesis of cathode active materials(CAMs).The resynthesis process of CAMs,a promising recycling method that directly produces CAM precursors from LIB leachate,is *** process encompasses six key steps,including pretreatment,leaching,purification,adjustment of metal concentrations,precursor synthesis,and *** review also investigates the potential introduction of impurity elements during CAM resynthesis and provides tolerance levels for these impurities based on thorough reference ***,it addresses challenges related to the commercialization of the resynthesis ***,this review represents the first comprehensive assessment of CAM resynthesis,including the systematic evaluation of 12 impurity elements(Fe,Li,Al,Cu,C,P,F,Na,Cl,S,Mg,and Zn).Overall,this comprehensive review is poised to support the commercial development of resynthesized CAMs by offering valuable guidelines for managing impurities and streamlining the purification process.

With the increasing emphasis on energy conservation,emission reduction and environmental protection,the application prospect of SiC power devices is becoming more and more *** the high frequency application of SiC MOSFET,the change rate of voltage and current in the turn-on and turn-off process increases with the increase of switching ***,the current and voltage spike oscillation phenomenon is gradually intensified due to the influence of circuit stray *** on the analysis of SiC MOSFET characteristics,the paper discusses the design requirements and design principles of SiC MOSFET drive ***,taking the SiC module C2M0080120D of Cree Company as an example,a driver circuit design is realized through the ACPL-355JC optocoupler driver module of Broadcom *** circuit not only has the characteristics of fast transmission delay and excellent performance,but also has the functions of overload and short circuit *** driving circuit is verified by LTspice simulation software,and the switching characteristics of SiC MOSFET under different working conditions are studied in *** experimental results show that the driving circuit can improve the switching time of SiC MOSFET and effectively solve the problem of current and voltage spike oscillation,which lays a foundation for the practical application of SiC MOSFET in the future.

A method to exchange digital CAD model construction history data using ISO10303 is presented. The primary intention of this research is to demonstrate the utility of ISO10303-108 in achieving parametric CAD model exchange between commercial CAD systems. ISO10303-108,still under development,has been used to represent geometric and dimensional constraints on the sketch profile. Schemas from Parts 42,50 of ISO 10303 are also used. ISO10303-42 is adopted to represent geometric and topological information and ISO10303-50 is used to represent the mathematical expression.

This paper examines the effect of the microstructure and electrical conductivity(EC)on the swelling ratio and pressure in red-bed mudstone sampled from arid areas in the Xining region in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.A series of laboratory tests,including swelling experiments,X-ray diffraction(XRD),and scanning electron microscope(SEM),was carried out for mechanical and microstructural *** coupled influence of the EC and microstructural parameters on the expansion ratio and pressure was investigated,and the weight coefficients were discussed by the entropy weight *** results revealed an increasing exponential trend in EC,and the maximum swelling speed occurred at an EC of approximately 10 μS/*** addition,a method for predicting the expansion potential is proposed based on the microstructure,and its reliability is verified by comparing with swelling experimental *** addition,according to the image analysis results,the ranges of the change in the clay minerals content(CMC),the fractal dimension(FD),the average diameter(AD)of pores,and the plane porosity(PP)are 23.75%-53%,1.08-1.17,7.53-22.45 mm,and 0.62%-1.25%,***,mudstone swelling is negatively correlated with the plane porosity,fractal dimension and average diameter and is linearly correlated with the clay mineral ***,the weight values prove that the microstructural characteristics,including FD,AD,and PP,are the main factors influencing the expansion properties of red-bed mudstones in the Xining *** on the combination of macro and micro-analyses,a quantitative analysis of the swelling process of mudstones can provide a better reference for understanding the mechanism of expansion behavior.

In the context of global efforts to reduce carbon (C) emissions, several studies have examined the effects of agricultural practices such as straw returning and fertilization on C sequestration by microorganisms. However, our understanding of the specific microbial groups and their roles in long-term C increase remains limited. In this study, a 36-year (1984–2020) farmland experiment was conducted to investigate the impact of bacterial C metabolism on the augmentation of organic C in a Typic Hapludoll (Mollisol) in the black soil region of Jilin Province, Northeast China. Our results demonstrated a noteworthy increase in the diversity of microorganisms in the farmland as a result of long-term straw returning and application of mixed chemical fertilizers. However,by examining the functions of microorganisms involved in C metabolism, it was observed that the effects of fertilization on C metabolism were relatively consistent. This consistency was attributed to a deterministic competitive exclusion process, which minimized the differences between treatment groups. On the other hand, the influence of straw addition on C metabolism appeared to follow a more random pattern. These changes in microbial activity were closely linked to the downregulation of core metabolic pathways related to C metabolism. Notably, long-term fertilization had a negative impact on soil organic C levels, while long-term straw returning plus fertilization resulted in a positive increase in soil organic C. These findings have important implications for enhancing soil organic C and grain yield in the regions with typical black soil.

The efficient energy conversion of fuel cells is greatly constrained by the slow oxygen reduction reac tion(ORR)kinetics,which necessitates the use of highly active metal catalysts such as platinum(Pt).The critical challenge limiting large-scale usage of Pt is the capital cost that can be addressed through a pro totypical approach by embedding metal nanoparticles(NPs),e.g.,Pt NPs,in the conductive framework However,previously reported embedding approaches are sophisticated and suffer from limited yields leading to higher chemical process costs and remaining distant from commercial ***,we re port a facile,cost-effective and time-efficient structural tuning approach to synthesizing ultrafine Pt NP impregnated within a conductive and highly porous carbon framework via a microwave-assisted polyo reduction *** NPs with a uniform size of~2.27 nm can be successfully integrated within the pore of the carbon framework,enabling homogeneous *** from these highly dispersed and ultrafine Pt NPs,the electrochemical surface area(ECSA)is improved to 142.98 m^(2)/gPt,2.25 times highe than that of the commercial counterpart(63.52 m^(2)/gPt).Furthermore,our structurally optimized catalys composite features a remarkably catalytic activity with a high half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.895 V and an improved mass activity(MA)of 0.2289 A/mgPt,2.39-fold improvement compared to the commercia *** addition,orthogonal experiments were designed to identify the key process parameter for fabricating Pt/C catalysts,offering insights for scaled-up and industrial production.

Density change is ubiquitous in phase transformation, and it can induce melt convection which strongly influences the crystal growth. Here, an anisotropic lattice Boltzmann-phase-field method was extended to predict the dendritic growth under the shrinkage or expansion melt convection by density change induced. A novel LB equation with an anisotropic coefficient was constructed to model the advancement of ordering parameter, coupling with the passive scalar LB equation for convective and diffusive heat transfer during phase transition. We studied dendritic growth and shape selection with melt convection induced by density change in crystal growth. Results show that the melt convection induced by density change affects strongly the dendritic growth. The shrinkage flow results in a higher tip velocity while the expansion flow leads to a slower one. Predicted Péclet number with respect to the relative density change was compared with an analytical solution. Moreover, the modified selection parameter has been verified by numerical simulations.

The addition of Ni element into steel to prolong the service life of coated steel was investigated in marine atmospheric environment by laboratory simulated accelerated *** scanning electron microscope and electron probe microanalysis combined with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used to characterize coated steel properties and examined the anti-corrosion *** results showed that 3 wt.%Ni-advanced steel(3Ni steel)substrate obviously delayed the failure time of coating compared to carbon steel,therefore prolonging the service life of coating on the steel.X-ray diffraction patterns for the corrosion products under the scratched coating on 3Ni steel exhibited that FeNi_(2)O_(4) and Fe_(2)O_(3) occurred in the corrosion product of 3Ni *** was also found that Ni element enriched in the product layer through analyzing the appearance and composition of corrosion products by electron probe *** ions were blocked out of product by the enrichment of Ni element in rust layer.

microbial electrosynthesis(MES)is a promising carbon utilization technology,but the low-value products(i.e.,acetate or methane)and the high electric power demand hinder its industrial *** this study,electrically efficient MES cells with a low ohmic resistance of 15.7 mU m^(2)were operated galvanostatically in fed-batch mode,alternating periods of high CO_(2)and H2 *** promoted acetic acid and ethanol production,ultimately triggering selective(78%on a carbon basis)butyric acid production via chain *** average production rate of 14.5 g m^(-2)d^(-1)was obtained at an applied current of 1.0 or 1.5 mA cm^(-2),being Megasphaera *** key chain elongating *** a second cell with the catholyte containing the enriched community resulted in butyric acid production at the same rate as the previous cell,but the lag phase was reduced by 82%.Furthermore,interrupting the CO_(2)feeding and setting a constant pH2 of 1.7e1.8 atm in the cathode compartment triggered solventogenic butanol production at a pH below *** efficient cell design resulted in average cell voltages of 2.6e2.8 V and a remarkably low electric energy requirement of 34.6 kWhel kg1 of butyric acid produced,despite coulombic efficiencies being restricted to 45%due to the cross-over of O_(2)and H2 through the *** conclusion,this study revealed the optimal operating conditions to achieve energy-efficient butyric acid production from CO_(2)and suggested a strategy to further upgrade it to valuable butanol.
