Software Defined Traffic Engineering for Improving Quality of Service

The Software Defined Networking(SDN) paradigm separates the control plane from the packet forwarding plane, and provides applications with a centralized view of the distributed network state. Thanks to the flexibility and efficiency of the traffic flow management, SDN based traffic engineering increases network utilization and improves Quality of Service(QoS). In this paper, an SDN based traffic scheduling algorithm called CATS is proposed to detect and control congestions in real time. In particular, a new concept of aggregated elephant flow is presented. And then a traffic scheduling optimization model is formulated with the goal of minimizing the variance of link utilization and improving QoS. We develop a chaos genetic algorithm to solve this NP-hard problem. At the end of this paper, we use Mininet, Floodlight and video traces to simulate the SDN enabled video networking. We simulate both the case of live video streaming in the wide area backbone network and the case of video file transferring among data centers. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm CATS effectively eliminates network congestions in subsecond. In consequence, CATS improves the QoS with lower packet loss rate and balanced link utilization.

A Highly Isolated Co-Polarized Co-Located Electric and Magnetic Dipoles and Its MIMO Performance

In this paper, a co-polarized, co-located electric and magnetic dipoles(CCEMD) with high isolation is presented. The antenna consists of a loop based on segmented line and two independent feeding ports. Two modes of the antenna are exited separately, the first one has a radiation pattern equivalent to an electric dipole by exciting anti-phase current with symmetric distribution, and the second one is like a magnetic dipole by exciting uniform and in-phase currents along the loop. The antenna is fabricated and tested. Its measured common-10 d B impedance bandwidth at two ports is 280 MHz(2.32-2.6 GHz) with isolation better than 41 d B. Its MIMO performance in terms of capacity gain(CG) over the SISO system is investigated in a multipath rich environment containing two parallel PEC planes by both measurements and image theory based simulations. Results show that, in free space, the CG results are just slightly larger than 1, however, in the multipath rich channel, the CG values are very close to 2, which indicates that two separate subchannels can be achieved by the proposed CCEMD. The measured results of CG agree well with that obtained by simulation.

Modelling and Simulation of Misconduct Information Diffusion in Web Forum

Using the method of analogy, this paper built the social information field, information field force model and the information diffusion dynamics model to study the dynamic mechanism and the law of the movement regarding how misconduct information moves among nodes in the web forum. It also constructed the web forum misconduct information diffusion complex network simulation model to study the diffusion intensity of misconduct information and its influencing factors. The conclusion is that, under the force of the field, the information flows from the high potential node to the low potential node, during which resistance is generated inside and outside the diffusion channel. In the complex network of the web forum, the diffusion intensity of misconduct information displays an increasing trend as the possibility of reconnection among broken nodes becomes higher. The main factor that determines the diffusion intensity of the misconduct information is the average shortest path. It also increases when the interaction frequency turns higher.

The title complex l-[Cult4（Hvap）z（vap）2（MeOH）2]（Cl04）2 1 has been synthesized and characterized by EA, IR, TGA, solid-state CD spectra and X-ray single-crystal analyses （I-H2vap： a Schiff base ligand derived from the condensation of o-vanillin and l-2-amino-3-phenyl-l-propanol）. Complex I crystallizes in monoclinic system, chiral space group P21 with a=10.4257（18）, b=21.695（4）, c=15.721（3）,A β = 94.443（3）°, V= 3545.1（11） A3, Z = 2, Cu4C7oH78N4022CI2, Mr = 1652.42, Dc = 1.548 g/cm3, F（0 0 0） = 1704 and μ（MoKα） = 1.338 mm-1. The final R = 0.0682 and wR = 0.1420 for 6170 observed reflections with I 〉 2if（l） and R = 0.1775 and wR = 0.1830 for all data. The structure of complex I contains a boat-shaped {Cu404} motif. The solid-state CD spectra confirm the chiral nature of complex 1.

A Framework for Personalized Adaptive User Interest Prediction Based on Topic Model and Forgetting Mechanism

User interest is not static and changes dynamically. In the scenario of a search engine, this paper presents a personalized adaptive user interest prediction framework. It represents user interest as a topic distribution, captures every change of user interest in the history, and uses the changes to predict future individual user interest dynamically. More specifically, it first uses a personalized user interest representation model to infer user interest from queries in the user＇s history data using a topic model; then it presents a personalized user interest prediction model to capture the dynamic changes of user interest and to predict future user interest by leveraging the query submission time in the history data. Compared with the Interest Degree Multi-Stage Quantization Model, experiment results on an AOL Search Query Log query log show that our framework is more stable and effective in user interest prediction.

Performance Validation and Analysis for Multi-Method Fusion Based Image Quality Metrics in A New Image Database

Considering that there is no single full reference image quality assessment method that could give the best performance in all situations, some multi-method fusion metrics were proposed. Machine learning techniques are often involved in such multi-method fusion metrics so that its output would be more consistent with human visual perceptions. On the other hand, the robustness and generalization ability of these multi-method fusion metrics are questioned because of the scarce of images with mean opinion scores. In order to comprehensively validate whether or not the generalization ability of such multi-method fusion IQA metrics are satisfying, we construct a new image database which contains up to 60 reference images. The newly built image database is then used to test the generalization ability of different multi-method fusion IQA metrics. Cross database validation experiment indicates that in our new image database, the performances of all the multi-method fusion IQA metrics have no statistical significant different with some single-method IQA metrics such as FSIM and MAD. In the end, a thorough analysis is given to explain why the performance of multi-method fusion IQA framework drop significantly in cross database validation.

In industrial control systems,the utilization of deep learning based methods achieves improvements for anomaly ***,most current methods ignore the association of inner components in industrial control *** industrial control systems,an anomaly component may affect the neighboring components;therefore,the connective relationship can help us to detect anomalies *** this paper,we propose a centrality-aware graph convolution network(CAGCN)for anomaly detection in industrial control *** the traditional graph convolution network(GCN)model,we utilize the concept of centrality to enhance the ability of graph convolution networks to deal with the inner relationship in industrial control *** experiments show that compared with GCN,our CAGCN has a better ability to utilize this relationship between components in industrial control *** performances of the model are evaluated on the Secure Water Treatment(SWaT)dataset and the Water Distribution(WADI)dataset,the two most common industrial control systems datasets in the field of industrial anomaly *** experimental results show that our CAGCN achieves better results on precision,recall,and F1 score than the state-of-the-art methods.
