Background The aim of this study was to review current delivery room(DR)resuscitation intensity in Chinese tertiary neonatal intensive care units and to investigate the association between DR resuscitation intensity and short-term outcomes in preterm infants born at 24+0_31+6 weeks gestation age(GA).Methods This was a retrospective cross-sectional *** source population was infants born at 24+0_31+6 weeks'GA who were enrolled in the Chinese Neonatal Network 2019 *** infants were categorized into five groups:(1)regular care;(2)oxygen supplementation and/or continuous positive airway pressure(O2/CPAP);(3)mask ventilation;(4)endotracheal intubation;and(5)cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).The association between DR resuscitation and shortterm outcomes was evaluated by inverse propensity score-weighted logistic *** Of 7939 infants included in this cohort,2419(30.5%)received regular care,1994(25.1%)received O,/CPAP,1436(18.1%)received mask ventilation,1769(22.3%)received endotracheal intubation,and 321(4.0%)received CPR in the *** maternal age and maternal hypertension correlated with a higher need for resuscitation,and antenatal steroid use tended to be associated with a lower need for resuscitation(Pcenters,with over 50%of preterm infants in eight centers requiring higher intensity *** Increased intensity of DR interventions was associated with increased mortality and morbidities in very preterm infants in *** is wide variation in resuscitative approaches across delivery centers,and ongoing quality improvement to standardize resuscitation practices is needed.

Colorectal cancer is a term used to describe colon and rectal cancer,which is the third most common type of cancer.A MEDLINE and PubMed search resulted in the inclusion of manuscripts written in the last 10 years,using keywords relevant to the topic of the *** analyzing the aim of the searched studies and manuscripts,adequate articles were included that described the stated *** frequency of colorectal cancer varies with climate,nutrition,and many other factors,primarily endogenous,hereditary,intestinal microbiome,as well as external factors,such as exposure of the individual to stress,and bad eating *** cancer and rectal cancer or colorectal cancer in general in the early stages of the disease,may not show symptoms or are barely *** cancer symptoms will most often not develop until the disease has progressed to stage 2 or *** screening tests for colon or rectal cancer,especially colonoscopy,are recommended as part of a regular checkup for people aged 50 years or younger who are at high risk due to a family history of the disease or other *** and colonoscopy as an early screening method play an important role in the prevention of colorectal cancer.

The current coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)remains a threat to pregnant ***,the impact of early pregnancy SARS-CoV-2 infection on the maternal-fetal interface remains poorly ***,we present a comprehensive analysis of single-cell transcriptomics and metabolomics in placental samples infected with SARS-CoV-2 during early *** to control placentas,SARS-CoV-2 infection elicited immune responses at the maternal-fetal interface and induced metabolic alterations in amino acid and phospholipid profiles during the initial weeks ***,subsequent immune cell activation and heightened immune tolerance in trophoblast cells established a novel dynamic equilibrium that mitigated the impact on the maternal-fetal ***,the immune response and metabolic alterations at the maternal-fetal interface exhibited a gradual decline during the second *** study underscores the adaptive immune tolerance mechanisms and establishment of immunological balance during the first two trimesters following maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The protective effect of Limosilactobacillus reuteri against gestational diabetes mellitus through restoring intestinal microbiota homeostasis and attenuating inflammation in mice

Limosilactobacillus reuteri QS01 is potential probiotic isolated from the intestinal microbiota of healthy women in early pregnancy. In the current study， we examined whether QS01 can prevent gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in an enhanced mouse model of the condition. Female C57BL/6J mouse offspring (F1 generation) born to dams fed a control (CON) or low-protein diet (GDM group) during gestation and lactation were used. Pregnant F1 mice fed a standard diet were randomly assigned to 5 groups: CON， GDM， and GDM mice treated with metformin， QS01 or Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus HN001. An oral glucose tolerance test was performed before sacrifice at gestational day 17. Glucose tolerance was significantly ameliorated by all three treatments. QS01 supplementation fortified the intestinal mucosal barrier and inhibited the escalation of plasma inflammatory cytokines. QS01 treatment altered the cecal microbiota composition and function. Plasma and cecal metabolite profiles were modulated by QS01， prominently demonstrating significant upregulation of indole lactate and L-tryptophan in plasma and 5-hydroxy-tryptophan in the cecum， positively correlated with gut Lactobacillus abundance. In summary， QS01 plays a role in preventing GDM by remodeling the intestinal microbiota， reinforcing the intestinal mucosal barrier and alleviating chronic inflammation.

Effect of male HBV infection on the outcomes of IVF/ICSI cycles:a retrospective cohort study based on propensity score matching

This study aimed to investigate the effects of male hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection on male fertility,embryonic development,and in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI)*** performed a retrospective cohort study that included 3965 infertile couples who received fresh embryo transfer cycles for the first time at the Fujian maternity and Child Health Hospital(Fuzhou,China)from January 2018 to January *** couples were categorized based on their HBV infection status into the HBV group(HBV-positive men and HBV-negative women)and the control group(HBV-negative couples).A 1:1 propensity score matching was performed with relatively balanced *** characteristics,semen parameters,laboratory outcomes,clinical outcomes,and obstetric and neonatal outcomes were compared between *** propensity score matching,821 couples were included in each *** groups had similar semen parameters and obstetric and neonatal *** HBV group showed a significantly lower live birth rate than the control group(P<0.05).The HBV group had a significantly higher abortion rate than the control group(P<0.05).The rates of high-quality embryos and blastocyst formation were significantly lower in the HBV group than those in the control group(both P<0.05).In conclusion,in couples who undergo IVF/ICSI,male HBV infection reduces the live birth rate and increases the risk of ***,the incidence of low birth weight in women with IVF/ICSI does not increase with male HBV infection.
