Diagnostic value of whole-body mrI with diffusion-weighted sequence for detection of peritoneal metastases in colorectal malignancy

Objective：To assess the diagnostic accuracy of whole-body mrI using diffusion-weighted sequence（WB-DWI）to determine the peritoneal cancer index（PCI）in correlation with surgical and histopathological ***：Twenty-seven patients underwent preoperative WB-mrI,followed by cytoreductive surgery for primary tumors of the appendix（n=15）,colorectum（n=12）,and associated peritoneal disease.A total of 351 regions were retrospectively *** sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy were calculated at 13 anatomical *** WB-DWI PCI and PCI type were compared with surgical and histopathological ***：No statistical difference was found between the WB-DWI PCI and surgical PCI（P=0.574）.WB-DWI correctly predicted the PCI type in 24 of 27 patients with high accuracy（88.9%）,including 10 of 10 patients with small-volume tumor,12 of 14 with moderate-volume tumor,and 2 of 3 with large-volume ***-DWI correctly depicted tumors in 163 of 203 regions,with 40false-negative and 23 false-positive *** overall sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of WB-DWI for the detection of peritoneal tumors were 80.3%,84.5%,and 82.1%,*** lesions＆lt;0.5 cm in diameter,WB-DWI demonstrated good sensitivity（69.4%）.Conclusions：WB-DWI accurately predicted PCI before surgery in patients undergoing evaluation for cytoreductive surgery.

Accuracy of multi-echo Dixon sequence in quantification of hepatic steatosis in Chinese children and adolescents

BACKGROUND Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is currently the outstanding cause of chronic liver disease in children and adolescents, especially in overweight and obese groups. Liver biopsy is the reference standard to diagnose NAFLD but invasive, thus it is not the best choice in clinical diagnosis and *** resonance(mr) is widely used in clinical trials to noninvasively quantify liver fat content in adults and children in foreign countries. While currently, it is rarely used in Chinese children and adolescents. We postulated that quantifying hepatic steatosis by mr could be extended to children and adolescents in *** To investigate the accuracy of mr imaging(mrI) in quantifying liver fat with mr spectroscopy(mrS) as a reference. A secondary goal was to assess the prevalence of NAFLD in overweight and obese Chinese children and *** were 86 children and adolescents enrolled in this study, including 65 overweight and obese children and 21 healthy children. The participants underwent mrI and mrS. mrI and mrS were performed using multi-echo Dixon and HISTO sequences, respectively, to calculate hepatic proton density fat fraction(PDFF). Hepatic steatosis was diagnosed using mrS-PDFF > 5% as the threshold. Spearman's analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between mrI and mrS. The agreement between these two methods was assessed by BlandAltman *** The mrI-PDFF in the mrS region of interest and the entire liver was 9.9% ±10.3% with a range of 0.3%-39.9%, and 10.6% ± 9.4% with a range of 1.9%-38.9%,respectively. The mrS-PDFF was 9.1% ± 10.0%, with a range of 0.5%-37.8%. The incidence of hepatic steatosis detected by mrS-PDFF was 46.5%(40/86) of all participants, all of whom belonged to the overweight and obese ***'s analysis indicated an excellent correlation between multi-echo Dixon and mrS(r > 0.9, P < 0.01). Submunitions should exhibit optimum terminal performance at target end when released from certain pre-determined height. Selection of an optimum height of release of the submunitions depends on the terminal parameters like forward throw, remaining velocity, impact angle and flight time. In this paper,the effects of initial firing conditions and height of release on terminal performance of submunitions discussed in detail. For different height of release, the relation between range and forward throw is also established & validated for a number of firing altitude and rocket configurations.

Effects of tube system and data correction for fluctuating pressure test in wind tunnel

The accuracy of fluctuating pressure test in wind tunnel is affected by the tube system. By employing contradistinctive experimental method, systematic study was conducted to investigate the effects of the tube system on fluctuating pressure. The analyzed tube system parameters include tube length, inside diameter, curvature, deflection angle, thickness, material, restrictor length,restrictor inside diameter, and restrictor place. It is found that all the tube system parameters mentioned above except tube curvature have non-negligible effects on fluctuating pressure. Based on the research results, test methods were presented for the fluctuating pressure measurement in low-speed wind tunnel, which can obviously improve the data accuracy but not lose test efficiency. The effectiveness of the method is verified by the wind tunnel test.

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a 3-Arylamino-3-Deoxy Sugar Derivative

3-Deoxy-3-（p-fluorine-phenylamino）-1,2-O-isopropylidene-α-D-ribofuranose 3 was synthesized and characterized by IR, Nmr and H R M S, and its crystal structure was detertnined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystal data for 3： monoclinic, space group P21, a=7.0403（14）, b = 6.7780（4）, c = 14.932（3） A, β= 94.74（3）°, C14H18FNO4, mr = 283.29, V= 710.1（2） A^3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.325 g/cm^3, μ = 0.105 mm^-1, F（000） = 300, the final R = 0.0468 and wR = 0.0926 for 1969 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. Two intermolecular hydrogen bonds are observed. The absolute configuration of this molecule was confirmed by comparison with that of the original material.

目的:常规索穹顶结构具有受预应力影响较大、不易于铺设刚性屋面等缺陷,且施工过程中存在变形较大及拉索松垂等问题,施工模拟难度较大。本文探讨一种新型索穹顶结构的构件性能和受力特点,研究结构施工过程分析的可行性及最优布置形式。创新点:1.提出一种易于铺设刚性屋面的新型拉梁式索穹顶结构;2.提出一种累积牵引提升施工技术;3.通过非线性动力有限元找形分析方法(NDFEM)实现施工模拟过程。方法:1.通过试验分析,证明NDFEM法可以实现拉梁式索穹顶的施工过程模拟(图11–13和表4);2.通过理论推导,对比两铰拉梁、三铰拉梁以及悬索单元在跨中集中荷载和均布荷载作用下的变形和受力特点(公式9–17);3.通过数值模拟分析,运用累积牵引提升施工方法(图4)在施工过程分析中对机构铰的布置形式进行可行性研究,并提出最优分布模式。结论:1.不同于常规索穹顶结构只受拉力的脊索,拉梁可以同时承受拉力与弯矩,并且弯曲应力较小,不易失稳;2.整体牵引提升可以很好地完成拉梁式索穹顶结构的施工成型过程;在此过程中应设置合理的机构铰将拉梁网格转化为机构;***找形分析方法能够有效跟踪分析施工全过程,分析精度较高;4.仅在中拉梁或内拉梁上布置机构铰可以在保证结构性能的同时最大限度地减少后期施工的工作量,为最优铰节点分布模式。

Analytical and Numerical Modelling of FRP Debonding from Concrete Substrate under Pure Shearing

External bonding of fiber reinforced polymer （FRP） composites on the concrete structures has been proved to be an effective and efficient way to strengthen concrete structures. For a FRP strengthened concrete beam, it is usually observed that the failure occurs in the concrete and a thin layer of concrete is attached on the surface of the debonded FRP plate. To study the debond behavior between concrete and FRP composites, an analytical model based on the three-parameter model is developed to study the debonding behavior for the FRP-to-concrete joint under pure shearing. Then, nonlinear FEM analysis is conducted to verify the PrOposed analytical model. The FEM results shows good agreement with the results from the model. Finally, with the analytical model, sensitivity analyses are performed to study the effect of the interracial parameters or the ~eometric parameters on the debondin~ behavior.

development of Private Higher Education in Macao: Exploring the Relationship between Government and Private Sector

The development of private higher education in Macao has experien- ced rapid growth in the past two decades. The purpose of this paper is to understand this trend by investigating the facts and figures supplied by official sources and to analyze the role between the Government and the private sector. This paper shows that the attitude of the Macao Government is neither authoritative nor laissez-faire toward private higher education. On the one hand, the Government is investing heavily in the public sector. On the other hand, it is assisting the private sector by various means. However, there is a lack of systematic planning in the area of public-private partnership. There are also two issues which may hinder the current development of private higher education. They are an outdated legal framework and a lack of standardized quality assurance measures.

Virtual flight test of pitch and roll attitude control based on circulation control of tailless flying wing aircraft without rudders

Circulation Control(CC) realizes rudderless flight control by driving compressed air jet to generate a virtual rudder surface, which significantly improves low detectability. The layout plan of combined control rudder surface is proposed based on the tailless flying wing aircraft. The closed-loop jet actuator system and stepless rudder surface switching control strategy are used to quantitatively study the control characteristics of circulation actuator for pitch and roll attitude through 3-DOF virtual flight test in a wind tunnel with a powered model at wind speed of 40 m/s. The results show that the combined use of circulation actuators can achieve bidirectional continuous and stable control of the aircraft’s pitch and roll attitude, with the maximum pitch rate of 12.3(°)/s and the maximum roll rate of 21.5(°)/s;the response time of attitude angular rate varying with the jet pressure ratio is less than 0.02 s, which can satisfy the control response requirements of aircraft motion stability for the control system;the jet rudder surface has a strong moment control ability, and the pitch moment of the jet elevator with a pressure ratio of 1.28 is the same as that of the mechanical elevator with 28° rudder deflection, which can expand the flight control boundary.
