Three eusauropod teeth(SDUST-V1064,PMOL-AD00176,PMOL-ADt0005)are reported from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Ningcheng,southeastern Inner Mongolia,*** of them(SDUST-V1064,PMOL-AD00176)are assigned to early-diverging titanosauriforms in having slightly mesiodistal expansion at the base of the tooth crown,a slenderness index value>2.0 andnew dental information of early-diverging titanosauriforms,for example,the enamel on the labial side thicker than that on the lingual side,an enamel/dentine ratio of 0.26 and a boss present on the lingual side of the dentine of the crown.

Prediction of radiosensitivity in primary central nervous system germ cell tumors using dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging

Objective： To evaluate the feasibility of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging（DCEmrI） for predicting tumor response to radiotherapy in patients with suspected primary central nervous system（CNS） germ cell tumors（GCTs）.Methods： DCE-mrI parameters of 35 patients with suspected primary CNS GCTs were obtained prior to diagnostic radiation, using the Tofts and Kermode model. Radiosensitivity was determined in tumors diagnosed 2 weeks after radiation by observing changes in tumor size and markers as a response to mrI. Taking radiosensitivity as the gold standard, the cut-off value of DCE-mrI parameters was measured by receiver operating characteristic（ROC） curve. Diagnostic accuracy of DCE-mrI parameters for predicting radiosensitivity was evaluated by ROC ***： A significant elevation in transfer constant（K^trans） and extravascular extracellular space（Ve）（P=0.000）, as well as a significant reduction in rate constant（Kep）（P=0.000） was observed in tumors. K^trans, relative K^trans, and relative Kep of the responsive group were significantly higher than non-responsive groups. No significant difference was found in Kep, Ve, and relative Ve between the two groups. Relative K^trans showed the best diagnostic value in predicting radiosensitivity with a sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 91.7%, positive predictive value（PPV） of 95.8%, and negative predictive value（NPV） of 100%.Conclusions： Relative K^trans appeared promising in predicting tumor response to radiation therapy（RT）. It is implied that DCE-mrI pre-treatment is a requisite step in diagnostic procedures and a novel and reliable approach to guide clinical choice of RT.

Coniopteris simplex is a common component in many Jurassic ***,due to morphological variations in sterile fronds and incomplete preservation of reproductive organs,its classification has been controversial for a long ***,we present new material collected from the Middle Jurassic Yan’an Formation in the Ordos Basin,Inner *** new material reveals important morphological characters,including hemi-dimorphic fronds,two forms of sterile pinnae,short-stalked sori and sporangia on fertile fronds,annulus of sporangium composed of about 30 cells,in situ rounded triangular spores with protruded suture,and the lips of trilete laesura encircled by one or two rows of small *** on these observations,we emended the diagnosis of this common *** spatio-temporal distribution of Coniopteris simplex shows that the iconic species was restricted to the paleolatitudes ranging from 19.5°N to 48.9°N in the Northern Hemisphere during the Early—Late Jurassic,mainly distributed in the tropical to paratropical zones,and the paleolongitude ranging from 9.6°E to 129.3°E,which may be limited by the opening of the Viking Corridor and the splitting of the Central Atlantic Ocean.

Background Optimal gut health is important to maximize growth performance and feed efficiency in broiler chickens.A total of 1,365 one-day-old male Ross 308 broiler chickens were randomly divided into 5 treatments groups with 21 replicates,13 birds per *** present research investigated effects of microbial muramidase or a precision glycan alone or in combination on growth performance,apparent total tract digestibility,total blood carotenoid content,intestinal villus length,meat quality and gut microbiota in broiler *** included:NC:negative control(basal diet group);PC:positive control(basal diet+0.02%probiotics);mr:basal diet+0.035%microbial muramidase;PG:basal diet+0.1%precision glycan;and mrPG:basal diet+0.025%mr+0.1%PG,*** mrPG group increased the body weight gain and feed intake(PmrPG altered the microbial diversity in ileum *** mrPG treatment group increased the abundance of the phylum Firmicutes,and family Lachnospiraceae,Ruminococcaceae,Oscillospiraceae,Lactobacillaceae,Peptostreptococcaceae and decreased the abundance of the phylum Campilobacterota,Bacteroidota and family *** with the NC group,the chickens fed mrPG showed significantly increased in duodenum villus length at end the *** In this study,overall results showed that the synergetic effects of mr and PG showed enhancing growth performance,total serum carotenoid level and altering gut microbiota composition of *** current research indicates that co-supplementation of mr and PG in broiler diets enhances intestinal health,consequently leading to an increased broiler production.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the feasibility of using a similarity coefficient map（SCM） in improving the morphological evaluation of T2＊ weighted（T2＊W） magnatic resonance imaging（mrI） for renal *** studies and in vivo 12-echo T2＊W experiments for renal cancers were performed for this *** results of the first simulation study suggest that an SCM can reveal small structures which are hard to distinguish from the background tissue in T2＊W images and the corresponding T2＊ *** capability of improving the morphological evaluation is likely due to the improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio（SNR） and the carrier-to-noise ratio（CNR） by using the SCM *** with T2＊ W images,an SCM can improve the SNR by a factor ranging from 1.87 to *** with T2＊ maps,an SCM can improve the SNR by a factor ranging from 3.85 to *** with T2＊W images,an SCM can improve the CNR by a factor ranging from 2.09 to *** with T2＊ maps,an SCM can improve the CNR by a factor ranging from 1.94 to *** a given noise level,the improvements of the SNR and the CNR depend mainly on the original SNRs and CNRs in T2＊W images,*** vivo experiments confirmed the results of the first simulation *** results of the second simulation study suggest that more echoes are used to generate the SCM,and higher SNRs and CNRs can be achieved in *** conclusion,an SCM can provide improved morphological evaluation of T2＊W mr images for renal cancer by unveiling fine structures which are ambiguous or invisible in the corresponding T2＊W mr images and T2＊ ***,in practical applications,for a fixed total sampling time,one should increase the number of echoes as much as possible to achieve SCMs with better SNRs and CNRs.

Objective：To assess the diagnostic accuracy of whole-body mrI using diffusion-weighted sequence（WB-DWI）to determine the peritoneal cancer index（PCI）in correlation with surgical and histopathological ***：Twenty-seven patients underwent preoperative WB-mrI,followed by cytoreductive surgery for primary tumors of the appendix（n=15）,colorectum（n=12）,and associated peritoneal disease.A total of 351 regions were retrospectively *** sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy were calculated at 13 anatomical *** WB-DWI PCI and PCI type were compared with surgical and histopathological ***：No statistical difference was found between the WB-DWI PCI and surgical PCI（P=0.574）.WB-DWI correctly predicted the PCI type in 24 of 27 patients with high accuracy（88.9%）,including 10 of 10 patients with small-volume tumor,12 of 14 with moderate-volume tumor,and 2 of 3 with large-volume ***-DWI correctly depicted tumors in 163 of 203 regions,with 40false-negative and 23 false-positive *** overall sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of WB-DWI for the detection of peritoneal tumors were 80.3%,84.5%,and 82.1%,*** lesions＆lt;0.5 cm in diameter,WB-DWI demonstrated good sensitivity（69.4%）.Conclusions：WB-DWI accurately predicted PCI before surgery in patients undergoing evaluation for cytoreductive surgery.

The Late Triassic Tianqiaoling flora is well-known in China,and its discovery has changed our understanding of Chinese Late Triassic phytogeographical *** broadly,this flora has great significance for the study of phytogeography in East asia during this ***,the previous dating of this flora was only evidenced by plant fossils and stratigraphic correlation,and the accurate dating has still not been *** this study,rhyolite samples were collected from the bottom of the Tianqiaoling Formation,which is conformally contacted the Tianqiaoling flora-bearing *** results of new U-Pb dating gave ages for the rhyolites of 212.8±2.5 Ma,indicating the end of Malugou Formation and initial Tianqiaoling Formation in deposition occurred in the late Norian(~227–208.5 Ma),which is contemporaneous with the peak of the Tianqiaoling flora in *** radiometric dating results are basically consistent with paleobiological *** new age provides a key anchor point for regional stratigraphic correlation of the Tianqiaoling flora with its related Late Triassic floras,and contribute to a better understanding of the geology and phytogeography in the East asia,particularly in the"triangle region"covering the eastern Jilin(China),South Primorye(Russia)and Southwest Japan,during the Late Triassic.

Phlomoides,with 150-170 species,is the second largest and perhaps most taxonomically challenging genus within the subfamily Lamioideae(Lamiaceae).With about 60 species,China is one of three major biodiversity centers of *** some Phlomoides species from China have been included in previous molecular phylogenetic studies,a robust and broad phylogeny of this lineage has yet to be ***,given the myriad new additions to the genus,the existing infrageneric classification needs to be evaluated and ***,we combine molecular and morphological data to investigate relationships within Phlomoides,with a focus on Chinese *** observed that plastid DNA sequences can resolve relationships within Phlomoides better than nuclear ribosomal internal and external transcribed spacer regions(nrITS and nrETS).Molecular phylogenetic analyses confirm the monophyly of Phlomoides,but most previously defined infrageneric groups are not *** addition,morphological analysis demonstrates the significant taxonomic value of eight characters to the *** on our molecular phylogenetic analyses and morphological data,we establish a novel section Notochaete within Phlomoides,and propose three new combinations as well as three new *** study presents the first molecular phylogenetic analyses of Phlomoides in which taxa representative of the entire genus are included,and highlights the phylogenetic and taxonomic value of several morphological characters from species of Phlomoides from *** study suggests that a taxonomic revision and reclassification for the entire genus is necessary in the future.

The Erguna ductile shear zone is situated in the Erguna Massif,which has been exposed along the eastern bank of the Erguna River in northeastern *** authors present comprehensive study results on the macro-and micro-structures,finite strain and kinematic vorticity,quartz electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)fabrics,and geochronology of granitic rocks in the Erguna ductile shear *** deformed granitic rocks have experienced significant SE-trending dextral strike-slip *** strain and kinematic vorticity in all deformed granitic rocks indicate that the deformation is characterized by simple sheardominated general shearing with S-L *** deformation behaviors and quartz C-axis textures demonstrate that the deformed granitic rocks developed under greenschist to amphibolite facies conditions at deformation temperatures ranging from 450 to 550℃.new LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb ages indicate that these granitic rocks were formed in Early Triassic(~248.6 Ma)and Early Cretaceous(~136.7 Ma).All the evidence indicates that this deformation may have occurred in Early Cretaceous and was related to the compression resulting from the final closure of the Mongol-Okhotsk Ocean.

Plenty of high-resolution paleoclimate investigations of the last thousand years were carried out to potentially predict future climate changes. Mountainous ombrotrophic peatland is one of the best recorders for high-resolution paleoclimate studies in the forest area. Grain size analysis was carried out on ombrotrophic peat profile in the eastern mountainous region of Jilin Province, ne China. The peat profile lasts the past 2 000 a by four radiocarbon (AMS 14C) ages. The results showed that the inorganic minerals in the peat profile are mainly silt, with some contribution from clay and a minor amount of sand, which are mainly due to wind dust and suspended transportation. Two paleoclimate stages are found in this peat profile by phytolith analysis, peat cellulose isotope research and historical documents,ca. 45–1550 AD., a relative cold period; ca. 1550 AD-present, warm. This finding is important for the initialstudyofpaleoclimaticchangesoverthelast2000ainthemountainousareaofeatern mountainous area, Jilin Province, ne China.
