Background Muscle wasting is a common clinical phenomenon that affects at least 20 percent of patients with heart failure. The exercise capacity of heart failure patients is limited; if left unchecked, which can form ca- chexia, seriously affecting the quality of life of patients with heart failure. This paper summarizes the clinical manifestations, pathophysiological mechanisms and its latest research direction including microRNA-regulated networks, and potential therapeutic strategies of muscle wasting in heart failure. Our goal is to provide a basis for clinicians to further understand and treat the muscle wasting in heart failure patients.

Background Doxorubicin is a widely used drug in all kinds of chemotherapy, but its application is limited by its cardiac toxicity to some extent. Most of scholars have studied doxorubicin induced myocardial injury and cardiomyocytes death, but the specific mechanism remains unclear. Autophagy is a metabolic pathway of degrad- ing longevity protein and organelles by lysosome, especially selective autophagy which called mitochondrial au- tophagy exists in various cells. The normal range of mitochondrial autophagy helps to maintain the physiological function, otherwise, could lead to the development of disease. Recent studies have suggested that mitochondrial autophagy is involved in the progress of doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity. This article reviews the role of mito- chondrial autophagy in doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity, and how mitochondrial autophagy is involved in the occurrence and development of the progress, in order to provide a theoretical basis of prevention and treatment.

Background Long chain noncoding RNA（lncRNA） lacks the ability to encode proteins and is initially considered to be transcriptional noise. Studies have shown that lncRNA is involved in the occurrence and development of many human diseases by regulating gene expression, and more and more evidence have indicated the role of lncRNA in common cardiovascular diseases, including atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, heart failure, hypertension, aneurysm and so on. This review summarizes the molecular mechanisms of lncRNA in common cardiovascular diseases and provides evidence for exploring new therapeutic targets for these diseases.

The feasibility of three-dimensional (3D) printing technology cgmbined with minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of pubic rami fractures was *** August 2015 to October 2017,a series of 30 patients who underwent surgical stabilization of their anterior pelvic ring (all utilizing the 3D printing technology)by one surgeon at a single hospital were *** minimally invasive incisions were made through anterior inferior cilia spine and pubic *** collected included the operative duration,the blood loss,the damage of the important tissue,the biographic union and therecovery of the function after the *** on inlet and outlet pelvic cardiograph were made immediately post-operation and at all follow-up clinic *** scores of reduction and function were measured during *** showed that the wounds of 30 patients were healed in the first stage,and there was no injury of important structures such as blood vessels and *** to the Matta criteria,excellent effectiveness was obtained in 22 cases and good in 8 *** to the functional evaluation criteria of Majeed,excellent effectiveness was obtained in 21 cases and good in 9 *** was suggested that the 3D printing technology assisted by minimally invasive surgery can better evaluate the pelvic fracture before operation,which was helpful in plate modeling, and can shorten surgery duration and reduce intraoperative blood loss and complications. The positioning accuracy was improved,and better surgical result was finally achieved.

Tetrandrine （TET）, a traditional Chinese medicine, exerts remarkable anticancer activity on various cancer cells. However, little is known about the effect of TET on human prostate cancer cells, and the mechanism of function of TET on prostate cancer has not yet been elucidated. To investigate the effects of TET on the suppression of proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and inhibition of migration and invasion in human prostate cancer cell lines, DU145 and PC-3. Inhibition of growth was determined by 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay and clone formation assay, and flow cytometry analysis was performed to detect the induction of apoptosis. Activation of poly （ADP-ribose） polymerase, caspase-3, Akt, phospho-Akt, Bcl-2, and Bax was analyzed by Western blotting. Wound healing assay and transwell migration assay were used to evaluate the effect of TET on migration and invasion of cancer cells. TET inhibited the growth of DU145 and PC-3 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Cell cloning was inhibited in the presence of TET in DU145 and PC-3 cells. TET suppressed the migration of DU145 and PC-3 cells. Transwell invasion assay showed that TET significantly weakened invasion capacity of DU 145 and PC-3 cells. TET exhibited strong inhibitory effect on proliferation, migration, and invasion of prostate cancer cells. In addition, TET induced apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner by activating the caspase cascade and inhibiting phosphoinositide 3-kinase-Akt signal pathway. The accumulating evidence suggests that TET could be a potential therapeutic candidate against prostate cancer in a clinical setting.

Protective Effect of Irbesartan on ATP Binding Cassette Transporter A1 in THP-1 Derived Macrophages

Objectives To explore the protective effect of irbesartan （lrb） under the interference with angiotensin II （Ang II） on ABCA1. Methods Electron microscopy was used to detect the morphous of foam cells. The expression of ABCA1 mRNA and its protein were determined by RT-PCR and Western blotting, respectively. The variance of cellular cholesterol content was measured by zymochemistry via-fluorospeetrophotometer. Results A positive facilitative effect of Ang II on the formation of foam cells was observed. Total cholesterol was increased significantly by Ang II, the expression of ABCA1 was down-regulated obviously by Ang II; Irb could protect ABCA1 against the lesion of Ang II; Total cellular cholesterol content was reduced significantly in Irb ＋ Ang II group; However, considerable alteration about the cholesterol content and the expression of ABCA1 were not observed in Irb group without incubation with Ang II. Conclusions Irb could protect ABCA1 against the lesion of Ang II, which may contribute to its anti-atherosclerotic properties. （ S Chin J Cardiol 2009; 10（4）： 227 -233）
