Effect of composite yogurt enriched with acacia fiber and Bifidobacterium lactis

AIM: To investigate whether composite yogurt with acacia dietary fiber and Bifidobacterium lactis (B. lactis) has additive effects in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). METHODS: A total of 130 patients were randomly allocated to consume, twice daily for 8 wk, either the composite yogurt or the control product. The composite yogurt contained acacia dietary fiber and high-dose B. lactis together with two classic yogurt starter cultures. Patients were evaluated using the visual analogscale via a structured questionnaire administered at baseline and after treatment. RESULTS: Improvements in bowel habit satisfaction and overall IBS symptoms from baseline were significantly higher in the test group than in the control group (27.16 vs 15.51, P = 0.010, 64.2 ± 17.0 vs 50.4 ± 20.5, P < 0.001; respectively). In constipation-predominant IBS, improvement in overall IBS symptoms was significantly higher in the test group than in the control group (72.4 ± 18.4 vs 50.0 ± 21.8, P < 0.001). In patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS, improvement in bowel habit satisfaction from baseline was significantly higher in the test group than in the control group (32.90 vs 7.81, P = 0.006). CONCLUSION: Our data suggest that composite yogurt enriched with acacia fiber and B. lactis has greater therapeutic effects in patients with IBS than standard yogurt.

Targeted point mutagenesis through homologous recombination has been widely used in genetic studies and holds considerable promise for repairing disease- causing mutations in patients. However, problems such as mosaicism and low mutagenesis efficiency continue to pose challenges to clinical applicaUon of such approaches. Recently, a base editor （BE） system built on cytidine （C） deaminase and CRISPR/Cas9 technology was developed as an alternative method for targeted point mutagenesis in plant, yeast, and human cells. Base editors convert C in the deamination window to thymidine （T） efficiently, however, it remains unclear whether targeted base editing in mouse embryos is feasible. In this report, we generated a modified high- fidelity version of base editor 2 （HF2-BE2）, and investigated its base editing efficacy in mouse embryos. We found that HF2-BE2 could convert C to T efficiently, with up to 100% biallelic mutation efficiency in mouse embryos. Unlike BE3, HF2-BE2 could convert C to T on both the target and non-target strand, expanding the editing scope of base editors. Surprisingly, we found HF2-BE2 could also deaminate C that was proximal to the gRNA-binding region. Taken together, our work demonstrates the feasibility of generating point mutations in mouse by base editing, and underscores the need to carefully optimize base editing systems in order to eliminate proximal-site deamination.

＜正＞ A 2μm Design Ruled, High-Densified, and Low-Power-Consuming Bipolar Integrated Circuit process has been developed. The breakdown voltage of transistor is 15v level and has a stable current driving capability in high current（about 1A） due to the low saturation voltage between emitter and collector. NPN Tr. has been fabricated to prevent leakage current and has good Cut-Off Frequency （fT=3GHz） by using polysilicon emitter. The characteristics of this process is Double Epi Process to form a high concentrated N+BL in VPNP Tr. （that is the same as in NPN Tr.） which can protect the parasitic Tr. operation like Latch-Up Phenomenon. （Ihold=26 mA, Pa-PNP Tr. hFE=4） And it also includes the IIL Device without an additional mask *** process is low voltage, high current power complementary bipolar process that merges a variety of NPN, VPNP, LPNP, SPNP, IIL Devices, and Diffusion Resistor.

In this paper,we proposed a tile type transceiver module package for X-band phase array radar system using a selectively anodized aluminum substrate. The proposed solution of package is based on thick anodized aluminum oxide （Al2O3） layers and bare chips mounted on aluminum for an effective heat sink. This package method can be further contributed to decreasing cost,reducing module size and managing thermal problem for the microwave high power T/R modules.

Currently,extreme ultra-violet lithography（EUVL） is the major candidate of next generation lithography for below 25 nm technology *** fabrication is quite different from the transmissive optics of conventional photolithography masks because of the use of new reflective optics due to absorption of UV light by the quartz *** investigated selective etching of SnTe（tin tellurium alloy） as a new absorber material having high EUV absorbance due to its large extinction *** additional SnO2（tin oxide） layer as an anti reflection coating（ARC） required to reduce the reflectance of the absorber layer was selectively ***,patterning process of the binary mask structure of SnO2（anti reflection coating）/SnTe（absorber layer）/Ru（capping/etch stop layer）/Mo-Si multilayer（reflective layer）/Si（substrate） was *** infinitely high selectivity of the SnTe layer to the Ru ESL is required due to the ultrathin nature of the Ru layer,the various etch parameters were varied in the inductively coupled H2/Ar plasmas in order to find the process window required for the infinitely high etch selectivity of the SnTe layer to Ru layer during one-step etching of SnO2/SnTe stacked *** results showed that the gas flow ratio and self-bias voltage Vdc played an important role in determining the process window for the ultra-high selective etching even with increasing overetch *** high EUV-absorbance SnTe layer,patternable by a dry process,would allow a smaller absorber thickness,which can mitigate the geometric shadowing effects observed during exposure of EUV by using high performance binary EUVL masks.
