The structural features and real compositions with point defects of Bi+-doped TlCdCl_3 and TlCdI_3 single crystals, grown by the Bridgman-Stockbarger technique, are first studied using the X-ray diffraction, X-ray synchrotron radiation, and EXAFS/XANES spectroscopy. In the structures of Bi^+-doped TlCdCl_3 and TlCdI_3 crystals, the Cd, Cl, and I sites are found to be defect-free. The vacancies in the Tl sites and interstitial Bi atoms located in the vicinity of the Tl sites are detected in the structures of both samples. In the Bi^+-doped TlCdCl_3, the presence of a small amount of Bi^+ ions in the Tl^+ sites is possible. The correlation between photoluminescence bands and point defects in the refined structures are determined. Photoluminescence spectra and decay kinetics of the Bi+-doped TlCdCl_3 and TlCdI_3 demonstrate that they are attractive materials for potential applications in photonics.

Phase formation in ternary system of complex Sc, Na and Li phosphates was studied at 950 ℃ and synthesis of new phases of definite composition was carried out. Obtained specimens were investigated with X-ray powder diffraction, infrared and impedance spectroscopy. Compositions of fields of homogeneity with NASICON-like structure were discovered. Temperature dependency of ionic conductivity was measured.

The literary data on the application of various methods for the production of nanopowders of platinum metals and alloys have been summarized, and the selection of the method of chemical reduction from salt solutions has been substantiated as the simplest and most affordable. The optimum conditions for the production of nanoparticles of metal palladium and platinum/cobalt alloy, using the effect of boranes with various structures, have been selected.

The adsorption of Pd(Ⅱ), Pt(IV) and Cu(Ⅱ) in static and dynamic conditions on chemically modified silica containing sulfide sulfur (number of grafted functional groups of the sorbent was 0.2 (CMS-S 0.2) and 0 3 mmol/g (CMS-S 0.3)) was studied. It is established that an increase in the acidity of the sorption of Pd(Ⅱ) and Pt(Ⅳ) decreases, whereas the Cu(Ⅱ) does not change. Time to reach the constant values of the sorption is 15 min. In equal conditions, the sorption decreases in the number of Pd(Ⅱ)>Pt(IV)>Cu(Ⅱ). Based on retrieved data suggested that the sorption of Pd(Ⅱ) proceeds according the coordination mechanism. In the case of sorption from solutions with a high palladium content can be polymerization of adsorbed complexes in the sorbent phase. Worked out the optimal conditions for the separation of pairs of Pd(Ⅱ)-Pt(Ⅳ) and Pd(Ⅱ)-Cu(Ⅱ) under dynamic conditions with the extraction of palladium(Ⅱ) in the eluate is above 95%.

The hydrothermal synthesis of In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–In_(2)O_(3)is investigated as well as the properties of sensor layers based on these *** the synthesis of In_(2)O_(3),intermediate products In(OH)_(3)and InOOH are formed,which are the precursors of stable cubic(c-In_(2)O_(3))and metastable rhombohedral(rh-In_(2)O_(3))phases,respectively.A transition from c-In_(2)O_(3)to rh-In_(2)O_(3)is observed with the addition of CeO_(2).The introduction of cerium into rh-In_(2)O_(3)results in a decrease in the sensor response to hydrogen,while it increases in composites based on c-In_(2)O_(3).The data on the sensor activity of the composites correlate with XPS results in which CeO_(2)causes a decrease in the concentrations of chemisorbed oxygen and oxygen vacancies in rh-In_(2)O_(3).The reverse situation is observed in composites based on c-In_(2)O_(3).Compared to In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–In_(2)O_(3)obtained by other methods,the synthesized composites demonstrate maximum response to H_(2)at low temperatures by 70–100℃,and have short response time(0.2–0.5 s),short recovery time(6–7 s),and long-term stability.A model is proposed for the dependence of sensitivity on the direction of electron transfer between In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2).

The cytotoxicity and non-specific cellular uptake of the most popular composition of upconversion nanoparticle （UCNP）, NaYF4：Yb^3＋：Er^3＋, is reported using normal human skin cells, including dermal fibroblasts and immortalized human epidermal linear keratinocytes （HaCaT）. A new hydrophilization reaction of as-synthesized UCNPs based on tetramethylammonium hydroxide （TMAH） enabled evaluation of the intrinsic cytotoxicity of bare UCNPs. The cytotoxicity effects of the UCNP surface-coating and polystyrene host were investigated over the concentration range 62.5-125 μg/mL with 24-h incubation, using a MTT test and optical microscopy. The fibroblast viability was not compromised by UCNPs, whereas the viability of keratinocytes varied from 52% ± 4% to 100% ± 10% than the control group, depending on the surface modification. Bare UCNPs reduced the keratinocyte viability to 76% ± 3%, while exhibiting profound non-specific cellular uptake. Hydrophilic poly（D,L-lactide）- and poly（maleic anhydride-alt-l-octadecene）-coated UCNPs were found to be least cytotoxic among the polymer-coated UCNPs, and were readily internalized by human skin cells. Polystyrene microbeads impregnated with UCNPs remained nontoxic. Surprisingly, no correlation was found between UCNP cytotoxicity and the internalization level in cells, although the latter ranged broadly from 0.03% to 59%, benchmarked against 100% uptake level of TMAH-UCNPs.

A novel analytical procedure for the determination of gold by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry combined with selective liquid-liquid extraction by natural deep eutectic solvents(NADESs)is *** extraction ability of the NADESs prepared using menthol,thymol and camphor toward gold in hydrochloric acid solutions was *** extraction efficiency was improved by optimizing the parameters including the composition of the NADES s,the volume ratio of organic and aqueous phases,kinetics,and acidity of the *** determination of gold was carried out by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry directly in the NADES s phase dissolved in isopropyl *** extraction recovery of gold from 1 mol/L HCl with the NADESs based on menthol and camphor mixed in a molar ratio 1:1 was 99.7%at an enrichment factor of *** limits of detection and quantification of the proposed procedure were 1μg/L and 3.3μg/L,respectively,with a relative standard deviation of less than 5%.The developed procedure was applied for determination of gold in the certified reference material of ore,environmental and waste waters.

The theory of the matter movement in a black hole in the frame of non-local quantum hydrodynamics (NLQHD) is considered. The theory corresponds to the limit case when the matter density tends to infinity. From calculations follow that NLQHD equations for the black hole space have the traveling wave solutions. The domain of the solution existence is limited by the event horizon where gravity tends to infinity. The simple analytical particular cases and numerical calculations are delivered.

The unified generalized non-local theory is applied for mathematical modeling of cosmic objects. For the case of galaxies the theory leads to the flat rotation curves known from observations. The transformation of Kepler’s regime into the flat rotation curves for different solitons is shown. The Hubble expansion with acceleration is explained as result of mathematical modeling based on the principles of non-local physics. Peculiar features of the rotational speeds of galaxies and effects of the Hubble expansion need not in the introduction of new essence like dark matter and dark energy. The origin of difficulties consists in the total Oversimplification following from the principles of local physics.

The theory of gravitational waves in the frame of non-local quantum hydrodynamics (NLQH) is considered. From calculations follow that NLQH equations for “empty” space have the traveling wave solutions belonging in particular to the soliton class. The possible influence and reaction of the background microwave radiation is taken into account. These results lead to the principal correction of the inflation theory and serve as the explanation for the recent discovery of the universe’s cosmic microwave background anomalies. The simple analytical particular cases and numerical calculations are delivered. Proposal for astronomers—to find in the center domain of the hefty cold spot the smallest hot spot as the origin of the initial burst—Big Bang.
